Then one day I drove passed Shear Brilliance Salon on 611 and did some research on Google and Facebook. I saw many great reviews so I figured I would give them a call. The woman who answered the phone was extremely nice and made my appointment with Kaci. I am ALWAYS so nervous when it comes to going to new salons and having a new stylist do my hair, but when I walked in I felt very welcomed. Everyone there is so nice and they offer you water or coffee. They always ask if there is anything you need. Now, Kaci is the only stylist I will go to. She's awesome and does exactly what I want to my hair. I am picky, so when there is something I think needs to be fixed, she fixes it no problem! I would definitely recommend this salon! Proceeded to walk to her chair, sit down, she made small talk, which is nice we had a great conversation, I felt so welcomed and felt like I was a regular! The prices are reasonable . One thing I noticed and appreciated was there accommodations for clients with disbailitys ! They had a handicap ramp that goes right into the salon, they were able to move the salon chair and make room for the client with the wheelchair. Everyone is super friendly, clean and professional. I came in for wash, cut and blow out and I was SO happy with my results & to meet these WONDERFUL women in the salon! I will definitely be back next time I am due for another haircut! She has many years of experience and gave me great breathing techniques to get through those moments (ladies you know what I'm talking about!!) she was really easy to talk through and even asked about my prior experience. This is the first time in a long time where my Brazilian was tolerable and I attribute that to the soft wax but also my waxer. I have heard from former employees that management treats them poorly, messes with their schedule and has no respect for keeping customers aligned with the person who you have established a relationship with. To me this demonstrates a disregard both of their employees and their customers. I understand that businesses can choose to make decisions based on a variety of factors. I am not writing this review based on their decision. I am writing this review based on their handling of their decision, which, in my opinion could not have more poorly. Before all of this, I was happy with the establishment for years. i'm sure there are good people that work there who provide great service. I noticed that the prices on services increases on the weekend, which is why I made sure to make the reservation for a weekday. Ha! He had a massage, pedicure and manicure. He enjoyed each service. He did mention the nail technician could've done a better job on his manicure. Other than that, he was relaxed and felt energized! Clearly, this was a great suggestion by my concierge. The prices are pretty reasonable (during the weekday) and the technicians were are all friendly and customer service orientated. My husband had late day services, so the staff was gracious to offer him a day pass to come back over the weekend to experience the sauna, jacuzzi, etc. Speaking of which, you can purchase a $75 all-day pass to spend in the spa section, even if you aren't being serviced by the spa. A great relaxing option for vacationers.

Well I was desperate and figured since it was a spa, it would be a very upscale pedi. The space was nice, pedi chair comfortable with massage features, etc. The tech was a lovely young woman, really sweet and friendly. But the pedicure was what I can get for $35. There was no scrub, lotion, or fragrance option offered or pre-soaking with any product. The "hot towels" before polish were lukewarn and left on for about 20 seconds. The foot/leg massage was almost non-existent, a little scrub and lotion on foot only, not ankles or calves. My $50 pedi provides a 10-15 minute foot/leg massage which is heavenly. The tech said she would be leaving be some products she had used at checkout, I thought oh, that's nice, a couple of samples, but no, they were full size products they wanted to sell to me. At the end of the day my toes looked perfectly fine, but it was NOT an $85 spa pedicure service.
