The hair washing was important as well, she got in in scalp and scrubbed. Some places it feels like they don't even get down to the scalp. They take their time and the styling was also important. Becky took her time to dry a section at a time and curl. I loved it. Shop is small but very cute. And what they may not have in the size of the shop they certainly have in skill. She set me up with an appointment and when I got there it was more of the same! I was greeted warmly and offered coffee. My stylist, Amelia, was great! She has many years of experience and gave me great breathing techniques to get through those moments (ladies you know what I'm talking about!!) she was really easy to talk through and even asked about my prior experience. During the intake process, it was super apparent that Julie wanted to understand how to best approach my treatment. She asked me what my goals were by the end of the facial, & I had answered that I wanted to better understand my skin in general, and I wanted to feel relaxed during my time there. Julie made sure both of those objectives were met! She had let me know that I had some dry areas (which I had no idea) and made many recommendations for different products to use -- I had been using cleansers that were way too harsh for my face. She saw what was done and really couldn't do anything to fix it. The trim was incomplete and each side looks different. It will take 4-6 months for my hair to grow out so it can be corrected. As the instructor and stylist were discussing, it was clear that the stylist did not understand what the instructor was showing her. She did not seem ready to be working on clients. I hope the school takes action.
