I started calling electricians, and Mr. Electric was the first to call me back. When they arrived, I was given possible estimates of the cost of repair and/or replacement. The light was up quite high, requiring a very tall ladder. When he first touched the top to see if the optic part was damaged, he got a shock, and realized there was a live wire. Fortunately, he was okay, so they found the circuit breaker and shut off the current to that light. They found the electric eye had come off and felt there was no way the roofers could have missed that. Instead of having to replace the light, he said he was able to fix it after going to get a part. With the assistant going up with a drill to attach the part that was dangling he was able to replace the missing part. Works beautiful and I could not be happier with the way they conducted their business and how quickly they came to make the repair. I will definitely call them again if needed, and gAve them a 5 star review. Would recommend them to everyone!

I had an emergency gas leak that required a gas line repair, and it was honestly one of the…read morescariest and most nerve-wracking situations I've dealt with especially since it happened in the middle of freezing temperatures in January here in Ohio. We were without gas, heat, and warm water for the entire weekend, which made an already stressful situation even more frustrating and time-consuming. From the moment I called Five Star Home Services, I was met with urgency and care. The employee I spoke with over the phone immediately understood the seriousness of the situation and pushed me to the front of the line to ensure a technician arrived as quickly as possible. That alone brought a huge sense of relief during a very overwhelming moment. Austin arrived and was absolutely exceptional. He calmly assessed the situation, clearly explained my options, and worked diligently throughout the entire day to try to remedy the issue. When he realized the repair couldn't be fully completed on his own, he didn't hesitate to call for backup so additional help arrived to assist, and together they fully resolved the problem. As a single woman dealing with a major home repair, I was admittedly concerned about the possibility of being taken advantage of. That was absolutely not the case here. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, sincere, and genuinely focused on finding the best and most appropriate solution and not the most expensive one. Austin remained professional, patient, and empathetic throughout the entire process, which made a stressful situation far more manageable. I highly recommend Five Star Home Services and would strongly encourage others to use their services. This team showed urgency, integrity, and true professionalism when it mattered most

A Vietnam War Veteran, Gerry has visited my Violet Meadows home in Pickerington, OH with frequency for going on 20 Years Now! Every occasion for our home that needed a new electrical related feature of any kind encompassed my call to Gerry Riley of Riley Electric Services. I know well his commitment for furnishing excellence and a matched capacity for delivering timely customer support. He insists on being exceptionally fair with his work rates and verifies your complete satisfaction as he wraps up his assigned projects. I completely trust that his State of Ohio Professional Electricians License that he has held for 48 years now and counting is the mark of a continuously improved skill set for learning for best practices. His insured skillset to address all needs from the Control Panel to the Doorbell, Light Fixtures, Wall Switches/Controllers, Laundry Room renovation rewiring for a High Load Electric Dryer, rerouting of feeds for Dryers, Ceiling Can Lights, Under Cabinet Lights, Stovetop and Dual Oven High AMP Wiring, Garbage Disposal Wiring switches, EMP Shield Device Installations for Generators, Control Panels, Hot Tubs and more. Most recently, Gerry visited my home to troubleshoot a Hot Tub shorting out issue as a follow up to concerns that I had for a Hot Tub Service Contractor that was addressing leaks and thereafter, not convincing me on their findings for expensive fixes... that did not resolve the shorting issues. So... I called Gerry. Very quickly, Gerry addressed the matter at hand and illuminated the issues with great clarity to both the Hot Tub Field Technician & the Management levels of the Hot Tub Company. Gerry took the time to educate their assigned youthful Technician on the electrical tooling meters that are critical to start with in the process of properly assessing a shorting issue. Such AMP Meters were not part of the Hot Tub Technicians toolbox. This effort by Gerry saved me over $1,000 in Hot Tub billings that have subsequently been acknowledged as errant in this case due to Gerry's illuminating the facts. Gerry has also aligned with fellow professionals in the area of Duct Venting as he manages Restaurant Chains for all their Electrical and Venting requirements. I highly recommend that you call Gerry for an estimate as any (new or existing) residential needs surface across the scope of his services offered. Gerry's earning of 5-Star Ratings for his services within our HOA Community has his Riley Electric Service company now listed on an exclusive Business Service Directory for our 180+ homeowners across his categories of services rendered. We have been taken advantage of many times in the past, so we were already tense about the entire thing. We found RJ Howard Electric and gave them a call. They open very early in the morning (7:30am) which is nice for stressed out folks like us! We spoke with Rick and explained the situation. He was able to schedule an appointment for 4:00pm later that day. Rick showed up right on time, 4 o'clock on the DOT, and called my hubby for more information on what what happening in mom's home. He went downstairs and checked her circuit breaker and after less than five minutes of investigating he already knew the issue. It was the line outside on the pole, which is an AEP problem. Not only did he call AEP for my mother and arrange for them to fix the outage, but he provided us with the ticket number so we could track the progress. On top of all the good news, he also only charged us a minimal fee for his services. We were so relieved and appreciative and cannot say enough good things about this company.
