Daniela and Raymond were the first people to understand and support my desire to both repair the house and preserve some of its original charm. I cannot believe the amount of work they were able to get done in just a few months. We originally hired them to do insulation and drywall, but we ended up letting them do the whole house. They finished the entire kitchen, bathrooms, windows, and trim in addition to drywall and insulation--they practically built this house. I cannot recommend them enough. As a woman who met with dozens of contractors, Daniela and Raymond were some of the only people who met me with patience, understanding, and enthusiasm. They never made me feel like any project was too big or any question was too dumb. In addition to the high-quality work, that felt like the most valuable part.

I called this company and of course when they came out the patio door opened! Are you kidding me! Ha! Ha! The guy that came out suggested a good cleaning of the track and said to use soap and water to clean it. After the cleaning he also suggested to get a good "Silicone" based spray which is best to use on a patio door track. He also suggested not to use DW40. It will not hurt the patio track but a silicone based spray cleaner is preferred. I found a silicone spray at a Menards near my home. I'm sure any hardware store would have it too. I hope this information helps anyone who has ever had an issue like mine.

Julio came to inspect the area the next day, explained everything that was going on patiently and carefully and sent me a quote with the different alternatives and offered a detailed timeline that same day. He was very attentive to the time-sensitive character of the work and walked us through all the technical requirements of the job. The price he offered was basically the same a the one we ended up going for. We did not end up working with Julio because he did not have availability this week but we had an excellent experience and his opinion fully coincided with the one of the company we ended up working with (given that their schedule was more compatible with our needs). I really appreciated Julio's profesionalism and I will definitely keep Castillo's Hardwood Floor in mind for future flooring jobs.

Let me start by saying this - I don't make a habit of leaving reviews unless there's something…read moreextraordinarily good or bad about an experience. I've already used them 3 times, all positive experiences, which is what brought me here to confidently say that I'll be referring them to anyone else in the area as well. I first brought them into my home for what I saw as a relatively straightforward patch and paint after some water damage from a leaky roof. They gave me an estimate, which was lower than the other 2. I approved it and they came in the next day, identified the actual issue, removed the drywall, stopped the issue, put in another custom cut piece of drywall, sealed it up again with tape and paste, then sanded it down to make it look literally seamless with the rest of the ceiling. Anyone else would have charged at least double (based on other experiences I've had) but the communication was there from the beginning and I could tell that they weren't giving me the runaround. The transparency was surprising and greatly appreciated. That gave me the confidence to have them come back another time to replace some windows that had been cracked from rocks being kicked up from the alleyway over time, both paned glass as well as some square/cubes replaced. Bob, the owner, said he wasn't a glazer, but had a good contact that was also reasonably priced and knocked out that job in 1 day. After that, I gave him a call about some of the mason work that I was having done because at this point, I realized that Bob was trustworthy and transparent, and I felt like getting a 2nd opinion on what work had been done so far and what still needed to be done. I've even met someone else in the neighborhood who's house I visited and I was complimenting her new deck. Turns out that she had her deck rebuilt by JOB1 ! That's what brings me to this review, which I hope is enough detail to describe why JOB1 is so different than many other contractors these days. Bob and his crew are transparent, trustworthy, thorough, professional, and fair. That's a tough combination these days from what I've found, and for that, I HIGHLY recommend JOB1 for your home improvement needs, big or small !

He will offer assistance from picking out the right flooring/color- answer any questions about concerns, as well as provide solutions-usually fixed by himself because he's so handy. The outcome was far beyond what I could have ever dreamed. Before seeing my home, and only hearing my needs via phone, Matt suggested 2 options. We picked one of his suggestions, again he hasn't seen my home yet/ IT IS PERFECT! Look at these results! He started work without providing the mandatory Certificate of Insurance (COI) required for building safety. His construction completely violated TCNA guidelines and manufacturer specifications--including embedding raw organic 1x4 wood screeds permanently inside the cement mud bed under the shower pan, spot-shimming a rigid composite shower pan (creating dangerous structural voids underneath), and using standard silicone on GoBoard joints which completely voids the manufacturer's warranty and prevents tile adhesion. When held contractually accountable and asked to email the COI PDF before resuming work, he refused, missed multiple deadlines, and attempted to bully his way onto the property by insisting on a face to face meeting.
