This place is located inside Trail appliances and can get almost any part you need for appliances…read more I was almost tempted to order my part online but after shipping it would have been the same as just ordering and picking it up from Reliable parts. Today I had to get a defrost timer for my refrigerator. Thank goodness for YouTube for helping me diagnose that was the cause of my refrigerator malfunction. A $30 part and a few moments of my time repaired a refrigerator that would have cost at least $500 to repair. If you are going to save the environment and reduce landfill waste, consider repairing your broken appliance. Reliable Parts usually has the part you are looking for as long as you can correctly diagnose what broke in your appliance. You will save money and save the environment by preventing more garbage from going into the landfill. The staff at this location are also really friendly as well.

Came by to pick up some appliance bits. This store is located physically inside Trail Appliances,…read morebut is a totally separate business. Note their business hours - they're much shorter than the Trail showroom. The parts counter is tucked away - go inside the main entrance to Trail, then turn about 45 degrees to the L and keep walking towards the far corner of the showroom. Parking is shared with Trail. Plenty of spaces. The location doesn't have a whole lot of parts on stock - it's more of a pickup point. The lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful. All sales are final unless it's a mistake on their end, so make sure you know what you're ordering. Even knowing the make and model for the appliance is no guarantee what you're about to buy will actually fit. I ordered some parts for a range hood (wrong part came in; the part I actually needed turned out to be discontinued), and a stove (mostly fit, but the cables were too short and the connectors didn't match my existing burner elements). This is more the fault of the manufacturer, but it doesn't exactly give DIYers such as myself too much confidence unfortunately. It's less of a headache in many cases to just buy a new appliance, sad to say.

Dropped off a vacuum cleaner for repair…read more Parking is available on the street. The shop seems to be run by a single guy, so service is a bit slower if he's in the middle of something. Being less than a block from a direct competitor (Aerus), how does this place stack up? Good: Pricing is generally more competitive, though this place does use cheaper-looking parts. Quality seems okay though. Bad: Place is WAY more cluttered - it feels like you're in some hoarder's basement. Parts selection (based on my 1-time experience) is more limited, and wait times for ordering parts is longer. As you can see, the place has its ups and down. Choose between time and money.

I purchased a top of the line Duel Fuel 36" Monogram Stove from Anail back in May @ 30% of the new…read morestove sticker price. I was nervous about the purchase as I still paid a considerable amount of money for a returned GE stove. A week before Christmas (7 months later) on a Friday I had an issue with a burner. By Monday Anail had a tech onsite to conduct a minor repair (dislodged component in the knob). The same day after the repair (Murphy's law), I had another unrelated issue with the stove not receiving gas after a self clean. I called Anail and he again had a tech onsite the next day diagnosing a fault in the pressure reducing valve. The tech taught me how to repair the problem if it happened again as it is not uncommon for a diagram to stick. A few hours later Anail called me to confirm that I was happy with the repair and informed me that he proactively ordered a new pressure reducing valve for replacement to ensure no future problems occur. I am absolutely happy with Appliance Outlet standing behind their service, product and brand.

Almost ten years later. I'd forgotten all about this shop. I needed a replacement part for my Miele…read morevacuum cleaner, and this place came up as the second listing on Miele's "find a retailer" page. I called the first place and their voicemail picked up, so I called this place and asked if they had what I needed (specified by model/serial number of my vacuum). Answer: Yes, they had it in stock, gave me the part number, and the price would be $150 (and change) after taxes. I drove up and as I was parking, it occurred to me that I'd been to a vacuum store in the same block years ago, but on the other side of the street, and I remembered the badness described in my original review on here. So I go in the store and ask "Did you used to be across the street?" Answer: Yes. OK, well, it's been a bunch of years, maybe it's new ownership, or maybe their behaviour that day long ago was an anomaly; let's see how things go this time. They go get the part (confirmed same part number they cited over the phone), and ring it up: over $180. I say, "Oh! What happened to $150 you quoted me on the phone an hour ago?" Guy goes, "I'll fix the price" and goes typing on his keyboard, then comes back with "So that's $168 after tax". I did not have time, patience, or willingness to get in an argument. I probably should have just said "Thanks, never mind" and walked out (I probably should have been more patient with that first listing where I got routed to voicemail), but I did need the part, and I was there, so I just figured "whatever" and paid it and got the errand done. Not worth fighting crosstown traffic to get to the other place for $18. Come on. Quote the real price over the phone, don't play these bait-and-switch games. One-star review still stands, 10 years later.
