When contacting the owner he said the problem was she drove too far and began blaming the way she must have been driving the car. This was on a weeknight he began by saying she would have to pay to get it tow back to his shop when she refused he reluctantly agreed to have a tow truck pick the car up. A couple of days later he called and asked if she was still interested in buying the car NOPE. Honestly I don't know if he's a crook or con man but he sure acted like one. Looks like he has shut down his shop hope he isn't operating somewhere else Ray McDonald

We were pleasantly surprised at how many cars were available in her price range, and "sold" by the detailed and upfront information we got from the fellow who served us. As a parent, I was reassured because Tim's is a repair shop, and the staff were able to speak knowledgeably and honestly about the pros and cons of the cars we wanted to compare, as well as the features my daughter was interested in. When a small issue (low battery) came up a week after buying a car, Tim's handled it immediately and to our complete satisfaction. I would definitely recommend Tim's to anyone looking for a used car. (I've already recommended them to friends!)

My wife recently took her SUV in for its regular servicing. They recommended new tires, which it…read moredefinitely needs, and provided a quotation for a set of tires. They told her that they have a relationship with the tire wholesaler so the price they quoted was the "best in town." But it turns out, after a bit of calling around for other quotes, the Auto Check price was about $320 higher than other shops for the identical tires. In other words, they were prepared to gouge her for tires they clearly knew were way overpriced. To me, that kind of business practice stinks.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!…read more While I cannot speak for the sales staff, I would avoid the service department at all costs. In April 2026 I took my 2023 KTM Adventure for regular service. During servicing significant issues where discovered where coolant hoses and the thermostat were leaking fluid; a common issue in these motorcycles. Unfortunately, OEM parts were on backorder for months, and instead of advising me of available aftermarket options, the service manager told me the only parts available were cheap kits from Temu, which was factually untrue. This resulted in my bike sitting for a total of 58 days, instead of resolving this in a couple of weeks. In reality, they simply did not have a supplier for these parts but if I had ordered them myself they would have been able to fit them. Unfortunately I was given incorrect information which extended the service time. After releasing the bike to me I started to experience clutch issues. This is a known problem in these bikes when coolant leaks and enters the engine oil. Because the clutch assembly shares the oil with the engine, coolant can get into the clutch assembly and cause chemical degradation of the friction pads. After reporting these clutch issues and reporting the clutch slipping, VI Powersports released the bike back to me, charging me $100 without inspecting the clutch or addressing the issue at all. To date it has been over 90 days of dealing with the same, continuous issues. VI Powersports has made zero effort to work with me by not proactively communicating with me, and adding to the delays by not ordering parts right away, not properly diagnosing issues after well known and documented problems with this make and model, and not suggesting alternative solutions when the OEM parts were not available. I would not recommend VI Powersports to anybody, as dealing with their Service Department has been the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! If I could give zero stars I would.

Ron got me in for my brakes that needed hours within me calling about it , I normally would have to arrange a ride home and wait a full day if not multiple days for basic things like coolant flush and oil changes at laird Wheaton , at Mid island automotive I was in and out so quickly I just sat in the lobby and chatted with Cammy the lovely woman that works at the front desk and was treated to coffee and a Christmas chocolate while the men worked their magic , I was shocked at how quickly the service was . The price was very reasonable and I left there happy and not feeling ripped off like every other place I've been in Nanaimo , they topped off my fluids as well . Ron and his team were extremely accommodating, kind , informative and knowledgeable.
