Popped in just to pick up some cargo straps. Staff was friendly and helpful and pointed me right to the items I needed.

After confirming that my vehicle purchase included a ev charger and an adapter Island Ford tells me…read morethat my purchase did not include these items and I will have to purchase them, this after the sales manager confirmed they are included. As well my trade in was devalued due to the Carfax report flagging a discrepancy in the odometer reading which Island Ford said was odometer rollback. After submitting a ticket to Carfax they investigated and found it was a data entry mistake. Island Ford refused to refund the difference in the trade in and actually stated that I lied about the Carfax. Stay clear of this dealership and especially the sales manager.

For that reason I'm updating my review from 1 star to 5. I appreciate it when a company stands by their promises and fixes mistakes and misunderstandings. bought a 2011 Kia soul last Tuesday. The brakes were a bit grindy so I requested they be changed and, obviously, that the car be given a once over in the shop and any safety issues dealt with. On Friday I got a phone call saying there was a "glitch" with the keys and they had to take it to a Kia dealership to fix it. So, eventually, after much back and forth I got my car on Wednesday. Now, I have to say that, due to their screw up with the keys, they did provide me with a loaner car so up until this point in the transaction, I would give them a 4 star review. However when the car was delivered it only came with 2 keys (the sale included 3 when I bought it), there was barely any gas in the tank - maybe I'm being petty but when I pay dealership prices I expect a full tank of gas. Also, I did not receive a carfax (the salesman reviewed it with me at the dealership) nor was there any documentation from the shop about fixing the brakes, the key debacle - I would have expected a report from Kia too - or any other work done on it - or required on it. Their website says that they do free delivery for all of the island and, while they did deliver the car, they did make several requests for me to drive down to Duncan (I'm in Parksville) to pick it up. I phoned the manager (Kyle) to express my concerns and I felt as though he dismissed me. He apologized for the loss of the key and gave no offer of renumeration for it - these keys are approximately $300 to replace so I'm more than annoyed and feel screwed over by Island Ford.
