If you're looking for a quality RV and a quality service team that has your back?.. I WOULDN'T recommend Traveland RV..
My final step with this company is writing this review. I have spoken to Travelands management, and they could care less.. They have told me flat out, they will no longer be helping me with my RV, and I can find a different RV place to help with the repairs. I spent almost $100,000 on an RV that has had non-stop issues...
First is this review, then I'm off to contact Keystone and VSA to report everything that has happened in the year I've owned my 30ft Keystone RV and how upsetting Traveland has been with a product they sold me.
When I first bought my RV from Traveland, it was delivered without a 2 plus grand slide topper that was on my contract. The reason for not installing the slide topper made sense, but it took me calling them to have the money reimbursed. Not one person informed me they weren't installing the slide topper. Not one person called me to refund me the large amount these slide toppers cost. It was almost like if I didn't call the extra 2 grand plus would have stayed on my RV loan, and this multi billion doller business would have taken those funds from a single mother!? It was very shady.
Within the first week of owning my RV, I called Traveland for a service call. As of June, I have owned this RV for a year and had 6 possibly 7 service calls..
3 or 4 being over the same AC issue, they won't fix, yet Keystone would cover the part if it was claimed under warranty.
In the year I've owned my unit, my 110V neutral cable has melted twice, and my breakers in my RV have never tripped.. Which should be the first point of contact when your 30 amp system is overloaded..
The day my neutral cable melted the first time I had my fireplace and a heat pad, which does not equal 30 amps even with my fridge running on 110v
Travelands manager in Duncan is trying to say I overloaded my RV, but why didn't my breakers inside my RV trip? Why have they never tripped? It's been non-stop electrical issue.
In the year I've owned my RV, I've had 2 electrical issues, both 110 V. The first technician didn't repair my neutral cable properly but did inform me how much trim I'm missing in my RV and that the staple marks should have been covered up all over the walls, the technician who came to repair it after showed us the repair done before and why it didn't hold but the manager from Duncan who spoke to me terribly over the phone, said I over loaded my system and wouldn't listen to me any further.. he's never returned my email, or a phone call. They've informed me they can no longer repair my RV. Great customer service. It's as if the buisness is so big they really have no care for their customers.
My AC has poured water from the ceiling due to an issue it had from the factory, it currently won't shut off, you can tell when it will try, you can hear the fan attempt to slow down and then it turns right back on after a bunch of clicking sounds and some cycling on and off..
I still currently have a leak into my slide out, the tech who came prior informed me it was my seals and redid the silicone (which is something you should do with RVs every 6 months, not 3 like the lady on the phone told me) but my slide is still leaking and it looks to be the actual slide out seals not the silicone seals, due to this my floor to the slide out has become an issue and taken on water.
Because of all these issues, I have now become an RV technician.. and can I tell you there are better places to buy an RV. Buisness who will care for their customers deeply and go above and beyond.
In no way did Traveland make this unit and now that I'm an RV technician myself I understand the quality in RVs is not what it use to be, but the dealership I currently work for will bend over backwards to do everything they can after their PDIs to have our units going out in the best possible way they can, the owner drove 2 hours to Victoria to pick up a customers unit that was unhappy due to water damage and I can't even get Traveland to return a call or an email at this point.
I have not sworn at Traveland, never raised my voice, so for them to call me a "problem customer" and cut me off, after spending 10g on warrenty is unreal.. But a blessing, seeing I no longer trust this buisness or their technicians.
If Traveland really cared, they could look back on my file and see everything I'm speaking about here.
It's been very unkind and very unprofessional in my last encounters with the duncan location, to say the least.
I've tried contacting other branches with absolutely no help, either. Not even so much as a call back.
If you take a look at their Instagram they pride themselves with sending employees who meet their quota on Vacation to Mexico, 60 plus employees they sent, you can see they do staff lunches often but they don't have the resources to help their consumers after selling them a garbage unit? read more
