I just wanted to apologise to the woman I inconvenienced by coming into the store today. There was no other customers when I came, this woman gave me the biggest attitude. She was throwing her hands in the air and complaining when I couldn't hear what she said behind her mask from the distance. Then she talked to me like I was stupid when I wasn't sure what size I needed. Then she probably realised she was rude and tried to smooth it out by actually bringing her tone of voice down and trying to make a small talk. I don't know if management ever reads this, but the employees here need to be trained on some customer service. I don't ask you to cater to me, but I don't need to be given attitude. read more

I have called for the past almost week and no one ever answers or returns my call leaving a voice message. Poor service as i am looking on the status of my order after getting a text advising some of my items are on back order with no further information on exactly which items are on back order. I am blown away how poor service this company has and are still in business. This will be my first and last order from this company. I don't recommend buying from them over priced, poor service especially for School uniforms. After reading all the negative comments to avoid going in personally as it is a waste of time. The worst customer service. I don't get it why is there just one shop to buy uniforms For most of the schools in MA. Big lines, long wait even just to make an exchange. This monopoly should end and they should have some competing stores so as customer service improves. read more

There are only a few people rude enough in the world to qualify to work here. Why their product is for children is beyond me, as they all forget what it was like to be children and certainly find it impossible to be courteous even over the phone. Employees are miserable and misery loves company. God bless anyone cursed with having to go into their stores. After finding out Lands End can do all-cotton uniforms more quickly, cheaply and with $$ fundraising credits to the school, I am hopeful we can quit our contract with these fools. During our first parent association meeting this year, I'm going to make sure to do all I can to end giving money to this entitled, cutting-corners company. read more

The good: polite, cheerful, professional employees. The bad: Prices are outrageous. I mean, like eyes pop out of your head insane. That pale blue polo shirt you just saw at Walmart for $4...quick jig through their embroidery machine and it'll cost you $28. Want an acrylic sweater kissed by the golden needle of their embroidery machine? That'll be $47 to you. Literally. Now if our parochial school PTO bought their own machine and did the embroidering as a fundraiser it would be easier to part with the cash. But who are these people and why are they taking my money? Also, don't go in person to the store. Seriously just don't do that to yourself. And if you feel like you must, don't bring your poor child. It's a field trip to the general store on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. All the merchandise lives behind a counter and you can't touch it until it's your turn to be helped. Waited in line behind three families (only three!) for 40 minutes just to get new sweats for gym. I would have left except I had already snapped at my child for whining early on that he didn't want to be there and said "Nobody cares that you don't want to be here. This is life and some things aren't fun." I was too stubborn to admit I could have pre-ordered online and at least skipped the experience of waiting. The highway robbery is unavoidable but the store visit is....a real character builder. Everything is manual and the employees painstakingly write down every item on triplicate paper. But they only help one family at a time. Say Johnny in front of you doesn't know if he will fit a youth medium or large? No problem sweetie, go try on the large while we all wait. Like, stand in line and wait for you to use the dressing room. Oh no, looks like he is coming back out carrying the large. Seems a bit too large. Could they go fetch a medium for him to try? Yes of course just wait right there. Here's the medium, off to the dressing room you go my child. We'll all wait. And that was just the short sleeve polo, don't forget to try on the long sleeve, the sweater, the gym uniform, the pants...praise the lord: Johnny doesn't need new shorts! We just saved ten minutes. Once the people you are watching ahead of you in line finally try on a million things and choose the list of items they would like, it's time to do paperwork to backorder the ones that require the sewing machine, and wait while they screen print the gym clothes. For reals. I know this because when we finally got our turn 45 minutes later we had to wait for them to screenprint a T-shirt, sweatshirt and sweatpants for his gym clothes. We got handed them hot off the press and my seven year old wrapped the sweatshirt around himself and said "oooh this will be nice on cold days!" And I had to explain to him that the heat would not still be in the sweatshirt come winter. I mean, maybe they weren't printing them, maybe they had been heated for some other reason? It seems insane that they would make people wait in line while other people had their shorts printed. Maybe there was a baking hot warehouse out back? After that we headed over to wait in line at the cash register to give them $50, which shouldn't feel like a bargain except for one regular uniform sweater is $47. It's not their fault I dislike them. They are doing a good job taking my money and making a living and employing people so that's something. Unnecessary and antique, the whole operation just makes me wonder WHY? What is even happening here? And why are schools not embroidering their own stuff for a small fee? read more

This Woburn store is the designated spot where we can get our daughters uniform. It is over an hour from our home and its its ninety minutes if there is any traffic. Sometimes you just need to go to the store to do try ons since they do not do a great job at actually getting the kids to the fitting days when they visit the schools. I don't like that they don't open until 10AM during the week so you have to go in late to work if you have to make it to the store. Obviously this is a problem for others as well because when I arrive in the parking lot at 9:40 there is a line of working people waiting in line to get in. They need to expand their hours to accommodate working people, open at 8 AM. Why are you closed on Monday again? I understand people need days off but expand your staff so you have have MORE hours when it is busy season so you don't have people waiting in line for two hours. This really really really impacts customer satisfaction! In the Busy season August and September just open every Monday and open every day at 8AM. The inventory management seems to be an issue in the Woburn store. I called in July to get uniforms for my daughters and they did not have the sweater tops so I had to wait on my order. Its Sept 10th and I still don't have the sweater tops. I want to call today to see if I can come get the sweater tops since formal uniform day is this week but I cant call and I cant go to the store because it is MONDAY and of course they are closed for business. I don't get it. The uniforms themselves are good quality. The embroidery is not consistently good. Often times the stitching is not great. The ladies that run the store inside are doing a great job considering what they are forced to deal with. Demand is high, operating hours are not enough to satisfy need. Supply (inventory) is insufficient on a consistent basis and customers are so so so fed up. That's management for ya. read more

Aside from the very long wait in line everything else went smoothly during my visit. The 5 employees were friendly and very focused on their jobs. So focused in fact that one lady's kid ran behind the counter into the clothes and they didn't even notice(don't worry his mom got him). Of course, the prices aren't exactly cheap but you get what you pay for! read more

Woburn store is the worst store ever. Very bad customer service full of attitudes. U call to talk to customer service no answer. U left a message for them no called back to find out your problems. U go there they look u as if u are nothing and talk to you very bad. They should close the store or fired all of them and hiring new people with good customer service to work in the store. the line was hella long so i was in line for like 50 minutes. i guess parents can't keep their kids under control because they were a few aggressive signs saying that you can't let your kids run around the store. I don't blame them after a mother literally let her child (probably 3) run behind the counter and do a lap around the clothing rack, but none of their employees noticed. As you can tell the employees are extremely dedicated and focused! luckily, the lady that helped me was nice and got me out of there in no time, unlike some of the other employees (no shade just saying) i bought a total of 4 things and the cost was over $150. that's a lot of money to spend on something that will break in about a month read more

Strongly hate coming here each year for my son's uniforms. Everyone I deal with in store and on the phone are always so rude. Just this year I decided to order my son's uniforms online instead of waiting in an hour long line. I am now 4 weeks out after placing my online order and when I call the store to see when it the order is shipping I am placed on hold for over 30 minutes and then hung up on. I continuously call back and when I finally speak to someone she tells me the items are on back order. Is it your policy to not notify customers of an item on back order? At this point I just want a refund and my son can wear last years uniform. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I was in this establishment once again this month. I must say the service has definitely improved and the signs regarding children have become less cold/rude. Last time I visited I called ahead and was pleasantly surprised with Jim and Lee's customer service and attentiveness. Great improvement. Keep it up. read more

Extremely poor quality products & customer service. Shirts fades/ holes after 4 washes. Also the sale associates are to lazy to check inventory to save their clients a drive ( '"they say you have to come & see what's on hand we are to busy") . Lands Ends offer much better quality & lifelong , they frequently offer 30-50% off items making it affordable. read more

After reading the previous review, I had to write. What are we coming to when one expects a "Thank You" for having a child that behaves in public? I have shopped at J B Edwards for many years and have found their clothing durable and the staff helpful. They even set up at our school for a day so we can order there if we want to avoid a trip to the store. I learned early on not to shop there in August when the lines inevitably tend get long. Most times of the year, my trips in and out are a breeze, especially if I know what I need. One evening when I pulled up after closing, a young woman even opened the door, came out, and asked what I needed. When I told her I had driven a distance, she welcomed me in and helped me out quickly. On another occasion when I watched three little boys tare the place apart, I wondered how the staff could keep their cool. They looked exhausted and were clearly stressed by their behavior and anxious to go home but they remained very patient (unlike myself and another mother waiting for service). By the time the girl got to me, I expected to be rushed but she took her time and did everything she could to meet my needs. The woman at the front, Lee worked for my previous uniform supplier so I have had the pleasure of her assistance over the years. She is quite personable and was kind enough to deliver things to my home when I was very ill. Few employees now a days will do that for their customers. They could post a billboard sign on their door and many, unfortunately would be oblivious to what it says. I on the other hand requested that my young son read it when we entered one day. read more
