Asked staff lady (black, bleached hair, glasses) if they carried the short-sleeve Dickies coveralls. She said she doubts it, juuuust as I look over her shoulder to see a whole rack of them on the left back wall of the store. They carry mainly large sizes in stock, with the Med R & Med Tall the onky two smaller sizes left. I was just disappointed with the absolute lack of effort on this lady's part. She had no idea what she had in the small shop. 50% of the stock is scrubs, but she didn't even bother to check to see if they carried any other item. Just looked around and shrugged. Horrible company! Place an order to ship NDA and 5 days later I asked for an update and was told let me check with the vendor... Um no you should have checked with the vendor 5 days ago. Next email seconds later I asked for a refund and they told me sorry can't but will ship with a return label. So they just want me to lose the $70 next day shipping charge even though they just confirmed that nothing has shipped yet. They are horrible for customer service. I am a small business owner and customer are EVERYTHING! Such a shame companies start growing and can't see this. Let alone its just common respect to not treat people such a way. My first time in the store was today and although one of the sales staff seemed clued to his phone when I asked for help he was nice. As a working guy, well more of a guy who needs to look like a working guy, I have been searching for a store that has clothes that suit my style. If you've ever been in need of winter items like really solid gloves or a hat in mid to late January, you know they can be hard to come by. The malls are close to out of stock, and places like REI and EMS have only really serious, "I'm about to climb a mountain" style stuff. This is where Work'n Gear comes in. From what I can tell they specialize in the type of stuff construction workers, contractors, and nurses use every day at work. They sell the most rugged stuff, but the prices range from high end to affordable - but no less durable. I recently purchased the best pair of winter gloves I've ever owned from them. They are not waterproof, but they're thick enough for that not to matter. They're those fingerless gloves that let you do stuff like start a snow blower or go through your keys to get in the house. But you can also pull over a very warm mitten option that completely blocks you fingers from the cold weather. When you don't want to exercise the mitten option they have a very strong magnet that pins back the extra protection. Total cost on these bad boys, $15.00. I say go there and check it out. They have water proof options for almost every item, and carry products that definitely put function in front of form. This was a very clutch find for me as I had lost my gloves and absolutely needed a quality replacement. read more

Went in to try to exchange some shoes for store credit and the baldheaded guy with the glasses was very rude. I had come in about 2 weeks before and asked about returns and he had said I could bring unworn shoes back w/o a receipt for store credit if I had the box. So that's what I did and I said Hi (very friendly) Sorry I do not have the top to the box and he said That's going to be a problem. I thought he was joking. And then he said the shoes looked worn. I told him I had only worn them once in the house and they didn't fit. They had been sitting under my bed unused for months. He was very flip with me, acting like I was trying to rip him off. If he had just told me politely Sorry but I can't help you I could have accepted that. Instead when I asked him if he wouldn't be able to help me he got a pair of the new shoes down from the shelf and said how nicer the new shoes looked and said "Would you buy these old shoes?" They looked the same to me as the new ones and No, I wouldn't, now I know they don't fit me. "Yeah but would you BUY these shoes?" Seriously? So rude. He knew I was VIP customer and I told him now I am never going back there. read more

They didn't have to take my clothes back because the tags were off but they did. The return policy didn't say that on the receipt but it did say it on a sign behind the register. The sign was small and not clear it's about the return policy BUT it is there and shame on me for not asking. read more

Decent variety of scrubs but rude rude rude sales people. I've been in more than once and unfortunately this has always been my experience. I'll be back as there aren't many stores that carry scrubs in the area. Really hope that the customer service aspect changes. It's not great if you go in to a store an looked as an annoyance and treated as such. Though they have shuffled locations of stores and gotten rid of a few over here to make way for what will be the next greatland in the area, thankfully they have kept Worn N' Gear. It is the best place I have found to buy timbs to work in- 6" pro series, for just about a hundred bucks. My sister always wanders off in to the aisles of scrubs picking out exactly what she would wear if she were a nurse. The variety is endless. The sales staff are fairly hands-off, in their approach, which is fine for me, I know how to try on shoes by myself. If I needed coveralls, or could figure out what effing mens pants sizes were all about I would shop here for all my work clothes for my construction job. But, alas, I don't know how many inchesxinches I am for jeans, and don't need to buy any t-shirts at the moment. But once I do, I'll be right back here. I will, one of these days buy a pair of Danskos here as well, for my weekend retail job. My poor feet are literally aching for me to do so! The prices for those are pretty decent as well. The store has moved into a bigger space, but is still located in the Watertown Mall, right next to Best Buy. Lots of scrubs and work boots to be had, but my favorite thing is the selection of Dansko clogs. If you are looking for a basic pair of Danskos you will find them at a great price and they also carry the Sanita clogs. They will not rip you off like the Tannery by trying to charge $135 for clogs. Instead their prices are in the $90 - $115 range. While most of us may not want the white nurse leather, they do have black, brown and on my last visit they had red patent leather (for snazzy nursing!). Other brands include Carhardt, Dickies and one time my BF bought a white chef's hat here for like $4! read more

This location always has the worst selection in scrubs. Most of the time they don't have the style or sizes your looking for. When I have asked the staff they say "we should be getting more next week" that always seems to be their answer. Also, no one ever greets you as you come into the store and the gentlemen who works there is ALWAYS complaining about having to help a customer. Either cashing them out or getting a fitting room ready. I find it unprofessional to complain to other staff in front of customers. If you hate your job... find another one! read more

I have visited this store once and it will most definitely be the last time. The customer service is so awful the company should be embarrassed. I walked in and there was an employee at check-out with her head down and eyes closed. When I politely asked for a fitting room she rolled her eyes at me like it was such an inconvenience! It amazes me that any company would keep such employees around. Also, there's never a manager on so returns are impossible. Work 'N Gear should really think about hiring more professional employees before they lose a lot of business. The only positive thing is the good selection of scrubs, but I would rather pay shipping charges from a website than deal with the awful unwelcoming attitudes of the employees. read more

Very poor customer service every time I have been in this store. The staff is not at all helpful. My experience has been to find them on the phone conducting their own personal business. The worst experience I ever had in my entire life!!! Me and my husband went to the store to return his boots because their quality was bad and the girl at the register called her supervisor who said that we could get our money back or do the exchange. When we told her that we just wanted to get our money back she said that she didn`t have enough at the cash register. Then I suggested that she could just put the money back on the credit card cause that`s what my husband used to buy the shoes. That girl just started staring at me and then she told me not to give her an attitude and not to tell her how to do her job!!!!!!!! I was speechless. I just politely said something that she suppose to offer herself and she never did!!! I asked her for her first name so I could make a complain about her and she didn`t even want to tell me that. I called their manager the next morning who seemed nice and he said he will take care of that. I hope he will cause otherwise they will lose their customers completely. read more
