Needed complete hvac replacement of two systems. Received 8 different quotes and JB Heating and Air was the lowest rate offered. Jesse is the owner and he was great to work with. My decision to choose him over the other 7 contractors was not just his lower bid but that he was the only one I did not feel there was a catch. Jesse doesn't come off as a salesman, in fact he's most likely going to be your technician and will provide recommendations to your specific needs and wants. Not one time did he try to convince my to try a product I had no interest in and not once did he try to offer me extras that were not necessary. Not only that, the rates he offered, I never felt like I needed to negotiate with him or felt like he was selling me some snake oil discount deal. He also didnt give timelines in accepting a contract. He didnt take any money upfront either, some of the other contractors wanted deposits and partial pay during install which is to be expected. But Jesse upfronted all of the expenses until the install was finished. I also liked that he was one of the few contractors that didnt try to convince me to redo all my ductwork either. Working with him I felt very little pressure. Being a new company and small in size I had my worries but because my interaction with Jesse was positive and felt genuine. I gave him a chance and have no regrets. At least not yet, well see in 5 years. It also gave me peace of mind to know that Jesse is licensed, bonded, and has workers insurance. He saved me over $7000 on a complete two system install of goodman condensers (2), furnaces (2), and evap coils (2). The install occured on 5/25. It took Jesse two days with a 3 man crew day 1 and a 2 man crew on day 2. They started early 8:30ish and finished by 4pm. They worked hard and took very few breaks. His crew was professional and respectful. Jesse was also timely during our appointments. There was a time he couldn't make it out on a planned day but he let us know prior to the day. The install to me looks good to me and the system has been running great. I suppose my only complaint is the condensers not being on condenser base pads but they are sitting on the original concrete slabs that the old system was on so I don't think its a big deal. If you care about that I'm sure Jesse would have no problem installing it for you. Jesse is still helping me with my master bedroom, due to the home design (2 story, 3200sqft) and there was some cooling issues there but I have faith he will fix it for us after installing an additional vent/duct. I highly recommend considering Jesse's company for your HVAC needs. I would still recommend to anyone to GET MULTIPLE QUOTES. But I dont think you'll find rates as good as his. Installed a pool heat pump last year and when I opened the my pool this year, I had an error message and was not working properly. The heat pump manufacturer suggested to look for a local HVAC company who can help me diagnose and repair it since they didn't have anyone here locally. I contacted two other companies to diagnose and fix my AC, through the thumbtack app. I made appointments with both, they both had to reschedule times due to jobs that they were currently on, I rescheduled both and they both couldn't make it for the timesc that they have me. I contacted JB via Yelp and he responded right away and was here in 10 minutes. He performed a thorough diagnosis checking my capacitor and going into the attic to check the unit and ducts. We have 5 ton and 2 ton units on our house. The 5 ton unit compressor blew on a Saturday (during 105 degree heat), so we needed to replace it, and we needed to do it fast because the 2 ton unit was working twice as hard, cooling more of the house than it normally did. We talked with 6 different contractors. We had confirmed it was the compressor, so there was no question of the problem. Two said we needed a new system (around $15,600). Another said new system was required, but never got to talking about cost because they couldn't schedule it for a couple weeks. The other 3 said we needed a new condenser and evaporator coil unless the metering valve on the coil could be changed for the newer refrigerant. Of these, one would take a week, another 3 days. The third, Jesse from JB Heating and Air, came by early Sunday, examined the unit and metering valve and said that if he could get the condenser, he could have it installed that Monday. The price he quoted was also the lowest of the group by a few hundred dollars. We asked him to go ahead and do the work. After reading online about the process of replacing a condenser, I contacted Jesse with a couple of questions, which he patiently answered, putting my mind at ease. Jesse called us, as promised, Monday morning after checking with the supply houses and said the unit he planned on using wasn't available till Wednesday. We asked him if there were other units available, even if they cost a bit more. After further checking, he found one at a slightly higher price that he could put in that evening. While I didn't go in the attic to watch him replace the metering valve at the evaporator coil, I did watch him install the condenser. He is careful, and appears to be thorough (I have little personal experience working on AC units) and does a nice job, with little wasted effort. He cleaned up after himself, taking all packaging and discarded materials away. He completed the work for the price agreed, and scheduled a follow-up time in 10 days to check on the compressor and refrigerant. It was a wonderful relief to get cold air pumping into the house again. He will be my first call should I need HVAC service, repair, or replacement in the future in the Antelope Valley.
