Would highly recommend MJ Mechanical for all HVAC needs. Jeff and Ty came out to replace my roof evaporative cooler. They had the old one out and the new one installed and running smoothly within an hr. Respectful of property and extremely professional. read more

I Zele $150 to them by mistake. Contacted them many times asking to send it back. They keep lying that they sent it back. And they are VERY rood and dishonest. Strongly don't recommend. And they made repair of my heater before. Severely overpised. I'm going to report them to the BBB and other autorities. read more

I can't say enough good things! He showed up same day, knew exactly what was wrong, fixed & payed for in 30min. Friendly customer service & affordable too! Definitely recommend! So happy I called MJ Mechanical Heating & Air!!! read more

Jeff came out to get my swamp cooler up and going recently. This is a new unit that replaced the prior unit that the roofers busted up beyond repair. He was instrumental in providing documentation on the old cooler that the roofers destroyed. Jeff works hard and knows his stuff. Now these days I let them get the cooler going for summer and button it up for winter. I LOVE this new cooler ...in really hot parts of summer it easily keeps in in low 70's inside. I asked if it had freon in it or how can it cool so much better than the old one? Turns out this new unit has a pad inside that is about 4 to 5 inches thick verses the two-inch-wide pads in the old unit. The cost for the unit was just over $5k. WEL WORTH IT. read more

The owner matt is a total thief and a Crooke stay away!!! After paying him tens of thousands of dollars to do brand new HVAC and Mechanical, he refused to install all the air vents that I paid for. And kept them. Did not connect the condenser. Decided to install commercial grade thermostats and condensers that are totally not appropriate for a house and don't have any compatibility with any of the smart home features. Total overkill system . Installed a two wire, black and red thermostat, when that is completely outdated and not the normal five wire thermostat. If you know you know. When I try to hire him again to bring them out, he refused and kept all the equipment that I paid for so I had to buy duplicates of everything to get them installed. Used incorrect Sizing for the mechanical ducks so the air wasn't strong enough blowing out of the vents. Totally unprofessional and not intelligent at all. Stay away at all cost unless you like paying twice for one thing. read more

Every year I use their services to "tune up" my air conditioning unit. When my AC This past winter, when the heating unit broke down, they were Johnny on the spot to diagnose and repair, giving us old folks heat quickly. I can't say enopugh about them. Thanks, MJ. read more

Excellent Excellent Excellent, This was our first time using this company from a trusted referral. The appointment was quickly setup, the technician was extremely timely for the appointment time. The technician was not only professional but very honest about resolving the problem with the air conditioner. His service completion did not take all day and to our surprise was finished within the first hour (he earned the nickname "The Magician". I would highly recommend this company as you get more quality and reliable bang for your buck with great customer service. Thanks Again MJ read more

absolutely the best company for swamp cooler or air conditioning repair. I have never been unhappy with a repair and have had them to my house multiple times. They were awesome! I called on a Friday my a/c went out the night before they were able to come out that same day and get fixed. I was told they would come between 4-6. The tech called me and let me know he was on his way with a time frame of 15 minutes. I appreciate those exact time frames instead of sometime between now and 5 hours from now. He showed up exactly when he said got the job done in a few minutes talked us through it what he was doing and why it went out. It was a good price. He saved my week! Highly recommend, did I mention this was in Tehachapi?! Another placed booked me out 2 weeks until they could come out so same day was awesome!!! Thank you! read more

Jeff MJ Mechanical came and service our swamp cooler, only had to replace 2 parts and do a little cleanup. He got it working. Thank you MJ Mechanical for fixing it. read more

I won't hesitate to recommend this company! They are courteous over the phone and put me at ease at how their tech will wear a mask and respect space within the house. We are in Lancaster and have gotten Jeff the last few times we needed service. He will give tips on how to keep the system running efficiently. He's made me aware of issues that could come up so that I won't be surprised, especially when it comes to cost. I trust this company & will continue to be a customer. read more

Hands down I will always call MJ Mechanical for all of our HVAC needs. They have come through for us on two of our rental properties now. Most recently we had a compressor that went out right before some expected 100 degree days and my elderly tenant had just come home from the hospital so we were desperately calling all HVAC service people we new. These guys were rockstars. They rush ordered the part and had it installed the next morning for us. The other company I called first, quoted me over $2K more than MJ. These guys are honest and do great work! And Jamie in the office is a pleasure to work with! read more

At first, I was not sure about MJ Mech but looking at the reviews one consistent theme was they were honest. I asked for a quote and then it became apparent why there was this buzz about them. Working with MJ Mech was a breeze. The quoted rates were reasonable. He came on time to complete my cooler & AC maintenance. Surely will call them back again as they are trustworthy and efficient. read more

Jeff came by and had a look at our A/C unit. I wasn't there to meet him, but my dad met with him and he was very, very happy with Jeff's pleasant attitude and MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: HONESTY. You'd be surprised how many companies will lie through their teeth to make a buck off of you. We called another company before trusting MJ Mechanical, and they said that "the entire A/C unit must be changed." I did some research on my own, and realized that this was not the case. Their asking price to fix the problem? $6000. Jeff came down, inspected the unit, and we determined the cause of the problem. The culprit? The A/C filter had not been changed for over a year. Easy fix, done, and the A/C is working again. Can't believe the other company's "diagnosis" - SMH. A heartfelt THANK YOU to Jeff for being honest and trustworthy. This is how life-long relationships start: trust and honesty. How in the world do these other companies think they'll survive by trying to deceive their customers to turn a profit? Information is freely and easily available these days. Jeff was not only knowledgeable, but our pleasant experience with him puts MJ Mechanical at the top of our list in case there's ever an issue in the past. THANK YOU! read more

I won't hesitate to recommend this company! Great service, friendly tech! Matt checked the system and found that the fuse had "blown". A quick fix and everyone is much happier! read more

I was forced to hire a company to fix my heater since my home warranty wouldn't cover it. I got multiple quotes for the new repair, however MJ mechanical was the only company to take the time to try and trouble shoot the problem with me over the phone. Once that didn't work, they set up an appointment for me a few days later. When they arrived, they discovered multiple issues with my unit. They quoted me a cheaper price than the previous two business's that came out, and MJ's was going to replace more parts. Once they quoted me a price, their was no pressure to set up a date to have my unit repaired. When I advised them that I wanted to move forward with the repairs, they sent two technicians out a few days later. The technicians showed up on time and did an excellent job. So far so good. Hopefully I don't need anymore repairs, but if I do I will be using them again. read more

Company provided me with two different quotes and over charged by close to $600. Was told they would work with me on labor but didn't. Equipment was installed correctly and does function but was over charged immensely. read more

Great work and thorough. Always willing to go above and beyond to get the job done. They were a contractor for a large apartment complex and at 8 in the evening made sure a unit was in. Flash forward several years - and made sure to call them when a homeowner. Again - Jeff went above and beyond to put fuses in until a more extensive overhaul fix could be accomplished. They ABSOLUTELY every-time - always - showed up when they said they would. Awesome customer service - polite - friendly - and RELIABLE. Hard to come by that these days - but easy to with MJ Mechanical. You want the job done and done right with a level of reliability you can trust unequivocally - call MJ Mechanical for all your HVAC needs. Cant thank them enough ... read more

I had a bad experience with another company that came out to take a look at my furnace as a pre season tune up (home warranty option) at this time my furnace was working "ok". I mentioned to this other company what my concerns were. The company then told me it was the "coils" in my furnace that were bad. As I went to price out these part for replacement by said company at Home Depot I was told there were no such coils on a furnace (I didn't know, I was trusting the experts opinion). After receiving this information and being told by Home Depot employee that it seemed like this other company was trying to scam me and have me pay $400 dollars for nothing I went ahead and asked for a different company to come out. After this call my furnace went out completely.I was told MJ MECHANICAL was on my home warranty list. When I was called by Jaime to schedule an appointment I was able to schedule for the next day. Which I was glad they had that availability since I have young children and it has been really cold at night. The gentleman that showed up (forgot his name) was extremely professional and came in ready to help me with my repair. After I mentioned to him what the previous company had said he explained to me that the only coils that were there were for A/C not furnace. He went ahead and checked my furnace found the issue left to get parts and then came back and had my furnace up and running within hours. Thank you so much for being an honest company who is reliable, professional and patient with your customers. If there ever is a next time for a repair or concern I will be looking to schedule with this company! read more

Five Stars for MJ Mechanical. MJ Mechanical has serviced our HVAC system several times. All prior services were minor. Our heater expired Saturday night. No heat during the winter is no fun. Especially with a winter storm on the way. We contacted MJ Mechanical and they had our 22 year plus system replaced by Wednesday afternoon before the winter storm. We highly recommend MJ Mechanical to anyone who requires quick and efficient HVAC service. We are also going to take Jeff's suggestion about Apple Fritters from JJ's Donuts in QH. Thanks Again, Lisa and Phil read more

Very good and professional service. Our technician was Kenny. He was very knowledgeable and did a beautiful job. He was very professional in appearance, clean cut , well groomed and a very nice man. The air conditioner works great! But make sure you discuss the price with the owner. We had misunderstanding with the provided estimate and ended up paying more than we expected. ( even though we were outside of their service area and we believed that when we were quoted the original estimate everything was included but it wasn't , we were charged substantial more) I would highly recommend Kenny for your air conditioner needs! read more

Another great experience with MJ! Kenny was our tech, and he found that our problem was a freon leak due to a loose connection; as well as a bad capacitor. He worked for quite a while in the blazing heat without complaint, and answered all of our annoying questions as we hovered(we had put a lot of fruitless DIY work into fixing it, so we wanted to see what the problem actually was). He made our 20 year old unit run like new! read more

Contacted MJ Mechanical to asses our AC unit to see if it'll be cost effective to keep it or replace it. Matt came out the following day (by that time, our AC was not running at all!) who gave us a FULL inspection of the AC/furnace AND he got our AC running! He's courteous, very knowledgeable, and gave us a plethora of pointers regarding maintenance until we're ready to replace it. Thanks MJ Mechanical! We'll be contacting you very soon! Your very satisfied customers, Jason and Eleanor S. Lancaster, CA UPDATE: Extremely glad we called this company for our new AC/furnace. Completed the install in one day (6 hours)! Extremely professional and quality job done right the first time. A few houses down had their AC installed by another company (who we also received a quote from) and we STILL see trucks two weeks after their install. Thank you MJ Mechanical! Our new AC/Furnace is running quietly and efficiently! We may even say goodbye to the level pay plan! read more

I thaught that this guy is reliable, not untill now that I realized that he is not reliable, and dependable. If he gives you his business card don't take it, because if you called the number on the card he will not answer you, it is a lady that will answer the phone and she will promise you that Mat will call you back soon, but he will never call you back. I have been calling the number for almost 5 days now but he never get back to me. The guy is not serious, don't hire him. read more

I have had these guys out every since I moved into my new home. They installed my cooler and they come out at least twice a year to help maintain it. They always come quickly and their work is very efficient. They are always honest and will tell you what is wrong without trying to raise the rates. There has been times when they came out to replace a float or unclog a line and did not even charge me for the visit. These are great people with great work ethics. I will never use another company as long as they are in business. Thank you!!! read more

GREAT COMPANY. I would rate 10 stars if I could. Matt, Jamie and all the crew were friendly, thorough and kept me in the loop. Our split-unit just died after 8.5 months. Matt sent out a couple guys several times. No one could figure out the problem. They did the manufacturer tech support calls several times and did everything tech support suggested over a series of calls. Tech support ran out of ideas and this morning Matt and a 3 man crew came and switched out the unit within an hour. We appreciate the hard work from all of you. I would definately recommend! read more

Just had MJ Mechanical install a new HVAC system to replace my 22 year old unit. All ducts were also upgraded/replaced. We are extremely pleased with the result and how smoothly the install went. Matt and his crew are exceptionally prompt, courteous, knowledgable, and competent. They showed up when promised (not a common thing with many contractors) and kept to the promised schedule with minimal disruption to our normal routine. I'd recommend MJ to anyone with an HVAC issue. read more

MJ is one of a kind. I reached out to him to service my AC in Cerritos. He was unable to as it is too far for him. However he is such a good honest person which is so hard to find in the HVAC business, that he offered a free 2nd opinion after I had someone come out. If you are lucky enough to be in his service area, I would always go with him. read more

Horrible Company, Called him 2 days before, nobody answered the phone. The answering machine requested to send the text message, so I sent the text message. NO RESPONSE. I will update this further, if they will call back after this message is read by them. read more

I love when companies are owned by laid-back yet professional people. Matt is so great with timing- short notice, on time! He just left and the house is feeling great. There's no BS with diagnosis or recommended nonsense that will hike your bill. Granted my roomie owns this house and pays it, I still enjoy seeing this guy and chatting him up and offering popsicles and iced water while he works. MJ Mechanical has visited us to refill our Freon when we initially moved in, install the thermostat (that I at first attempted to install only to burn out a fuse lol), and today to find out why the A/C unit was being weak. Roomie decided to just refill the Freon since we only have a few more months of summer and buying a new unit later. This last visit he was done within 20 minutes! What are you doing? You... yes! You should call them right now. That swamp ass is not going to cure itself! P.S. I asked Matt if I could take a pic of him and post it on here but he said, "Well, people are going be like OMG!.. he looks like Bradley Cooper!" True story. read more

This Company has 5 stars for a reason they are so fair and HONEST! Everyone we sent out for a bid was charging astronomical prices and they all insisted we get a new AC unit. Tim was so straight up, he told us that there was no need to replace the unit that it would last another 4-5 years. He could've easily made more money replacing the unit but was confident enough to repair it for 1/2 the price. We will definitely be using him again and I would highly recommend him to family, friends in co-worker. This repair was on a commercial 10 ton unit at the Verizon Store in Palmdale, next to Apple Bees. They ended up replacing the 5 ton compressor and changing out the filters saved us $7,000. The employees said the technicians were like night and day from the previous vendor we had out. They communicated properly and quickly and made this process easier. I wish I could have found them earlier, because our store's AC was broken for 2 weeks. Thanks MJ Mechanical! read more

Well......went 2 days with no heater. I checked all kinds of things (yep single Mom who knows how to do stuff around the house) and nothing was working so my BF stepped in and said he would get a repair company out to my house (fyi...my BF lives 400 miles away so it isn't like he could fix it himself LOL) So he did a YELP search and called this company :) They said they would be here between "3 and 7" and they were here by 4!!! They had "estimated" approx $125 to $400 via phone to repair (OMG!!!) however, they got here and fixed the issue (a faulty wire) for less than $75.........the gentleman that came was Jeff and I did not get his workmates name........they were out of here in about a 1/2 hour and I now have a working heater!!! WOOT!!! Would definately recommend this company to anyone that asked!!! On time, professional, well priced and HONEST!!!!! read more
