Jeff came out to get my swamp cooler up and going recently. This is a new unit that replaced the prior unit that the roofers busted up beyond repair. He was instrumental in providing documentation on the old cooler that the roofers destroyed. Jeff works hard and knows his stuff. Now these days I let them get the cooler going for summer and button it up for winter. I LOVE this new cooler ...in really hot parts of summer it easily keeps in in low 70's inside. I asked if it had freon in it or how can it cool so much better than the old one? Turns out this new unit has a pad inside that is about 4 to 5 inches thick verses the two-inch-wide pads in the old unit. The cost for the unit was just over $5k. WEL WORTH IT. read more

The owner matt is a total thief and a Crooke stay away!!! After paying him tens of thousands of dollars to do brand new HVAC and Mechanical, he refused to install all the air vents that I paid for. And kept them. Did not connect the condenser. Decided to install commercial grade thermostats and condensers that are totally not appropriate for a house and don't have any compatibility with any of the smart home features. Total overkill system . Installed a two wire, black and red thermostat, when that is completely outdated and not the normal five wire thermostat. If you know you know. When I try to hire him again to bring them out, he refused and kept all the equipment that I paid for so I had to buy duplicates of everything to get them installed. Used incorrect Sizing for the mechanical ducks so the air wasn't strong enough blowing out of the vents. Totally unprofessional and not intelligent at all. Stay away at all cost unless you like paying twice for one thing. read more

They were awesome! I called on a Friday my a/c went out the night before they were able to come out that same day and get fixed. I was told they would come between 4-6. The tech called me and let me know he was on his way with a time frame of 15 minutes. I appreciate those exact time frames instead of sometime between now and 5 hours from now. Jeff came by and had a look at our A/C unit. I wasn't there to meet him, but my dad met with him and he was very, very happy with Jeff's pleasant attitude and MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: HONESTY. You'd be surprised how many companies will lie through their teeth to make a buck off of you. We called another company before trusting MJ Mechanical, and they said that "the entire A/C unit must be changed." I did some research on my own, and realized that this was not the case. Their asking price to fix the problem? $6000. Jeff came down, inspected the unit, and we determined the cause of the problem. The culprit? The A/C filter had not been changed for over a year. Easy fix, done, and the A/C is working again. Can't believe the other company's "diagnosis" - SMH. A heartfelt THANK YOU to Jeff for being honest and trustworthy. I was forced to hire a company to fix my heater since my home warranty wouldn't cover it. I got multiple quotes for the new repair, however MJ mechanical was the only company to take the time to try and trouble shoot the problem with me over the phone. Once that didn't work, they set up an appointment for me a few days later. When they arrived, they discovered multiple issues with my unit. They quoted me a cheaper price than the previous two business's that came out, and MJ's was going to replace more parts. Once they quoted me a price, their was no pressure to set up a date to have my unit repaired. When I advised them that I wanted to move forward with the repairs, they sent two technicians out a few days later. The technicians showed up on time and did an excellent job. So far so good. I had a bad experience with another company that came out to take a look at my furnace as a pre season tune up (home warranty option) at this time my furnace was working "ok". I mentioned to this other company what my concerns were. The company then told me it was the "coils" in my furnace that were bad. As I went to price out these part for replacement by said company at Home Depot I was told there were no such coils on a furnace (I didn't know, I was trusting the experts opinion). After receiving this information and being told by Home Depot employee that it seemed like this other company was trying to scam me and have me pay $400 dollars for nothing I went ahead and asked for a different company to come out. After this call my furnace went out completely.I was told MJ MECHANICAL was on my home warranty list. When I was called by Jaime to schedule an appointment I was able to schedule for the next day. Which I was glad they had that availability since I have young children and it has been really cold at night. The gentleman that showed up (forgot his name) was extremely professional and came in ready to help me with my repair. After I mentioned to him what the previous company had said he explained to me that the only coils that were there were for A/C not furnace. He went ahead and checked my furnace found the issue left to get parts and then came back and had my furnace up and running within hours. I love when companies are owned by laid-back yet professional people. Matt is so great with timing- short notice, on time! He just left and the house is feeling great. There's no BS with diagnosis or recommended nonsense that will hike your bill. Granted my roomie owns this house and pays it, I still enjoy seeing this guy and chatting him up and offering popsicles and iced water while he works. MJ Mechanical has visited us to refill our Freon when we initially moved in, install the thermostat (that I at first attempted to install only to burn out a fuse lol), and today to find out why the A/C unit was being weak. Roomie decided to just refill the Freon since we only have a few more months of summer and buying a new unit later. This last visit he was done within 20 minutes! What are you doing? You... yes! This Company has 5 stars for a reason they are so fair and HONEST! Everyone we sent out for a bid was charging astronomical prices and they all insisted we get a new AC unit. Tim was so straight up, he told us that there was no need to replace the unit that it would last another 4-5 years. He could've easily made more money replacing the unit but was confident enough to repair it for 1/2 the price. We will definitely be using him again and I would highly recommend him to family, friends in co-worker. This repair was on a commercial 10 ton unit at the Verizon Store in Palmdale, next to Apple Bees. They ended up replacing the 5 ton compressor and changing out the filters saved us $7,000. The employees said the technicians were like night and day from the previous vendor we had out. They communicated properly and quickly and made this process easier. Well......went 2 days with no heater. I checked all kinds of things (yep single Mom who knows how to do stuff around the house) and nothing was working so my BF stepped in and said he would get a repair company out to my house (fyi...my BF lives 400 miles away so it isn't like he could fix it himself LOL) So he did a YELP search and called this company :) They said they would be here between "3 and 7" and they were here by 4!!! They had "estimated" approx $125 to $400 via phone to repair (OMG!!!) however, they got here and fixed the issue (a faulty wire) for less than $75.........the gentleman that came was Jeff and I did not get his workmates name........they were out of here in about a 1/2 hour and I now have a working heater!!!
