There's always something social going on (burpees and paddleboarding? Yes, please but not together). Parking is a breeze (shocking for Long Beach, I know), and the fact that Trader Joe's is right here? Peak efficiency. The coaches--Sydney, Christine, Fernando, Ashley, and Stephanie--are like my fitness fairy godparents: encouraging, eagle-eyed, and genuinely invested in your progress. Bonus points: showers on-site for that post-sweat rinse, the magical InBody machine to track gains, and fresh towels that feel like little cotton hugs. When I first started, I couldn't manage more than three sad little push-ups. Now? Let's just say I've upgraded to "push-up show-off." The space is spotless, the vibe is right, and these are 100% my people. I feel strong, supported, and totally hooked.

I don't dread coming to the gym and the workouts go by so fast and I actually see results. They have amazing trainers that really push you to be better! I love the different workouts and how it switches from cardio to weight lifting and also hybrid. If you're unsure you can always try out a trial to see if it is something you like!

I originally found this gym because of my trainer, Bob, and I'm so glad I did. Metroflex is definitely old-school but in the best way possible. It's not overcrowded, there's room to actually train, and you're not fighting for equipment like you do at commercial gyms. What I love most is that they literally have everything: powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit-style training, boxing, you name it. No matter what type of training you're into, this gym has the equipment and the space to support it. Coming from a commercial gym where it was always packed, limited machines, and chaotic, this place was a breath of fresh air. The vibe here is different. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and actually there to work. Another huge plus: this gym is always open even on holidays. Hours might be a little shorter on a holiday, but they're still open, which means you can always get your workout in. That alone says a lot about how much they care about their members. It's hard to find a gym that checks all the boxes, but Metroflex really does. If you're serious about training and want a gym that feels like a community instead of a zoo, this is the spot.

The gym has everything I need, it's never overcrowded, and I always get a solid workout in. Their personal training and group classes are top-notch, and the easy, spacious parking and great location are a huge plus. Not the gym itself, but the gloves they provided and the mats we used for the ab workout. The odor was so bad it gave me a headache, and I've been congested all week since. My nose genuinely hasn't felt the same.On top of that, I called three times today using the number listed on Google to ask about the equipment and whether I just got unlucky, and each time I was sent to voicemail.I'm glad the class was free, but at what cost ...my sense of smell? Shame :(

She always puts a smile on my face before the workout and sets the tone for an amazing class. Her energy, kindness, and positivity are a big part of why I and many others keep coming back.

It's an incredible mix of aerobic conditioning and weight training, and the variety keeps me coming back. I never thought I would enjoy running on a treadmill, but somehow I actually love it here. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to switch things up while still getting a fantastic workout.
