I feel like if you have heritage in Cambodia, this place is a must to experience. Oum Ry is the only one who has a reason in keeping Pradal Serey alive in Southern California. He is 80 years old and is so agile and sharp. If you care about Cambodian culture, humble beginnings, rooting for the underdog, and a great work out,  this IS THE only PLACE to be. I wished I learned about him earlier to support him.  They have kids classes during the week and sparring sessions every weekend. All the kids seem like they are having fun when I dropped by. Instructor Ron is super helpful, very kind, and a funny guy. Parking is street. I've been to the gym numerous times and had zero problems.  There is a ring, heavy bags, speed bags, aqua bag, squat rack, There are zero frills and its raw as it can be here. I freaking love it. They don't try to sell you anything extra and they appreciate every member. You can drop in for the cost of a day pass, join to be a hobbyist to going pro. If you haven't gotten the book, I highly recommend it. It's an easy read with action and heartbreak. I was able to find solace in reading about experiences in the killing fields. I would also highly suggest dropping by the gym to purchase. They have available paperback copies. Bring cash to support.  Private sessions with Oum Ry is available. I got the honor and privilege to train with him privately and he will teach you the basics. You don't need equipment because you can use and borrow a loaner. There is some equipment you can purchase too. I was able to bring my own wraps and gloves, which was all you need to start. Oum Ry is super pleasant to work with, wrapped my hands, and held mitts for me to work on my technique. He is a bit shy but so humble, he speaks English well and if you know Khmer thats a plus.  I've link a way to purchase his book below. They do have paperback copies at the gym and you can even get it signed by Oum Ry himself. Just call.  I purchased mine with cash. https://doppelhousepress.myshopify.com/products/i-am-oum-ry-a-champion-kickboxer-s-story-of-surviving-the-cambodian-genocide-and-discovering-peace Would love to see some fight shorts or shirts for sale. Not the gym itself, but the gloves they provided and the mats we used for the ab workout. The odor was so bad it gave me a headache, and I've been congested all week since. My nose genuinely hasn't felt the same.On top of that, I called three times today using the number listed on Google to ask about the equipment and whether I just got unlucky, and each time I was sent to voicemail.I'm glad the class was free, but at what cost ...my sense of smell? LB Fitness is hands down the best gym I have ever gone to!…read more From the first phone call with Bailey, one of the instructors, I was impressed with how professional and no nonsense, yet warm and welcoming this place is. Being new to the area, I was looking for a specific kind of gym--smaller, non-chain, that offered martial arts but also a good variety of strength conditioning and cardio classes. With LB Fitness I found exactly that, and more! Cardio kickboxing, combat conditioning, and Muay Thai with Edson have definitely been transforming my body--I am stronger, leaner, have more endurance, and am overall more fit than ever before. But taking these classes and seeing the results has also had a tremendous impact on how I feel: more confident, grittier, and full of energy! I'm now addicted to learning more combinations, practicing my kicks and punches, and am motivated to continue getting faster and adding more power. Also, as Edson is big on technique, his combat classes are great to learn how to properly work with weights, lift, and develop more strength without getting hurt. Boot camp and Zumba Strong with Bailey are also a must! Mixing cardio with strength conditioning (to a great soundtrack!), these classes are all about tightening, leaning, and burning calories. Also, Bailey is an incredibly encouraging, supportive, and motivating instructor, so while she will push you to your limits, you likely won't even notice until the next day when you are beyond sore =) Finally, LB Fitness tends to attract people who are willing to work hard to get results, but who are also down-to-earth, friendly, and supportive of each others' journeys, which has been truly refreshing. I definitely appreciate the community aspect of this place and am excited to keep going there. You definitely need to check it out for yourself!

Bailey is awesome and I highly recommend taking a class with her as your first time coming here! Note: Small parking lot, but I've never had a problem finding a spot on the weekdays. There's also street parking as well.

He has challenges with focus and self-control at times which is precisely why we wanted to enroll him in the Krav Classes. He started in the Lil Dragons program, and after about 4 months he was promoted to the Juniors program because he was doing so well. HERE is where it gets sad...he was told we would "trial" the Juniors class to see how he would do. After 6 weeks, he having difficulty with focus and self-control in the larger setting, but was making improvements over the last few sessions based on staff report and my observation. This past Tuesday, he wasn't paying attention and accidentally punched another kid in the face with his glove on (not hard but I'm sure it still hurt...he apologized to the child and resumed the class). I recommended that we put him back in the smaller class considering that my son was thriving in Lil Dragons, and he was consistently practicing safe partner work in Lil Dragons so there is no reason he would not thrive there again. Trying out lil Dragons to see how he does again posed no risk to anyone's safety. He just has ongoing challenges with focus and self-control which impacted his performance overall in the larger class. My son in a smaller class size would have more adult support and less distractions which would ultimately help him focus. This issue with the partner work the other day was not aggression, it was a lack of focus that resulted in a punch to someone's face (focus is precisely what a smaller class would support and DID support as of 6 weeks ago). 360 Krav's response was that he wouldn't be appropriate for the Lil Dragons class either (even though he was doing so well there 6 weeks ago that he was promoted!)...effectively expelling him from the program altogether. How 360 Krav has handled this is totally unacceptable. You promoted him to "try" out a new class...it was not a good fit, and now you are not letting him go back to the class that he was successful in. This is a disgraceful way to teach...you are literally punishing a child for being brave enough to try something new and then failing at it.

One thing I wanted to do when I moved was to sign up for a class with my partner, and I wanted it to be something active. I used to do daily walks around my old suburban hilly neighborhood during my lunch hour, but realized the area where I am in Long Beach is not only completely flat, but also not exactly the safest. My partner was previously involved with 360 before they moved to the current location, and he signed us up for an intro to learn about the classes that were offered. As with most things new to me, I was a little hesitant, but somehow walked out of that first meeting signing up for a membership and the 6 week program. I went home with a little bit of regret, though embraced the decision because I am always open for something new and challenging, and I felt good about not being pressured into any commitment. When I thought about starting, I was afraid that when I came in, I would be completely lost, or that it would be uninteresting or intimidating. Much to my surprise, it was not intimidating at all, and I walked out of the first class already looking forward to the combinations I would learn in the 2nd class. I've now completed about 18 classes after my 6 week challenge. My partner exceeded his goal and lost 15lbs and I am super close to hitting my goal of 15lbs, considering I had 2 business trips and 1 leisure trip in the last 3 weeks. I've learned to be more conscious about eating; reading more labels and measuring intake, which has really helped to curb my emotional wfh snacking when I'm bored. Additionally, I really appreciate the Mom and Pop aspect of this academy - Candace and Alan are not only both super approachable, but are also really encouraging and motivational individuals. They are very helpful in correcting form, process, and confidence and I'm thankful to have made the decision to join 360, not only for the fitness aspect, but also the practicality of the education learned from the classes!

Man, was I in for a rude awakening! I ended up booking an Advanced Bagwork class, which the staff recommends attendees doing 10 of the Undefeated, Strong & Champ classes before attempting. All the classes at Mayweather are HIIT (high intensity interval training). Short intensive sets, followed by a few seconds of rest. Having my hands wrapped up, boxing gloves on, I was ready to throwdown. The Advanced Bagwork class is exactly what I wanted. Mainly throwing punches on the various heavy bags & BOB's (body opponent bags), with some cardio from rowing machines, ropes & balance trainers. A few seconds of rest before moving on the next station. I kept switching from orthodox to southpaw, balancing out my stances. Loud hip-hop music blaring through the speakers helped the energy remain high, as we threw different combos & punched until exhaustion. The staff were great. They were friendly, accommodating & eager to wrap hands & provide support, when needed. Damian was the Advanced Bagwork instructor, and he was easy to follow & motivational. Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is located on the 2nd St. side at the Marketplace Long Beach, left of Stretch Lab & CPK, behind Trader Joe's. I was huffing & puffing for air, deltoids on fire, with my first two fingers on my left hand going numb from punching too hard/too much. And, it was all good!
