I moved to the high desert and couldn't find a kickboxing gym near me. I found this place on a FB ad so I decided to give it a try. I started my journey here back in 3/21/2022 and my official work outs started 3/28/2022. I started with their 21 day detox program and lost 10 lbs! I manage to keep that 10 lbs off and in June I am started their 20 lb lost program. What I like about this gym is that they are honest. You get what you put into it. They do provide you the tools and supplements should you follow it. The nutrition guide, yes you should follow. The supplements are your choice. It's expensive so if you are on budget, you can find other options that work for you but so far I do like a few things above gotten there so far. I also am a person that likes convenience - aka I'm lazy so buying there is easier for me! Everyone is friendly, from staff to the members. I have enjoyed my time here. I am only 2 weeks into my current challenge and at a lost of a total of 15 lbs since I've started my journey here. What I can attest to is most of the work done is really at home/kitchen. There's a FB group page they have that members share recipes. That's been super helpful! I'm glad FB showed me their ad, I'm happy to have found a place that can help me with my goals!

I had a baby 3 years ago and just couldn't find my way back to the gym. After moving here I set my goal up to start again and lose the pounds I gained from my pregnancy. I knew joining the Challenge, as I've done in the past, is what I needed to get back into shape. I joined the Challenge in Feb 2025 & in 6 weeks lost 17lbs!!! I love the classes and what I like about this location is they have a lot of gym equipment & cardio machines too!!! I absolutely love the style training they offer and am able to workout extra on my own. The staff is nice and owners are friendly and available.

The studio is always spotless and very well maintained, which makes every workout feel comfortable and inviting. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help -- whether it's answering questions, explaining the workouts, or just offering encouragement. I really appreciate how consistent the environment is. It's welcoming, motivating, and never feels intimidating. The workouts themselves are efficient and challenging, and I've seen great results since becoming a member. They're also introducing new machines in the FX Zone, which is a huge plus and shows they're continuing to invest in improving the studio. It definitely sets them apart from other studios in the area. If you're thinking about trying HOTWORX, I highly recommend it -- you truly won't regret it!

It's 15 mins each and starts immediately after one another, with no break. It's in 126 degrees sauna rooms, so make sure you bring ur water bottle! Hot Blast- combination of upper and lower body workouts. Love the full body workout Hot Thunder- water rower using their water tank pully system . Great for back, biceps, triceps, shoulders, core and hip. My arms were giving out trying to keep pace with the virtual instructors! (The instructors didn't have water in their rower btw so that's why they're faster) Hot Cycle- great cycling and most popular here. Awesome cardio ! I've also tried their mat Pilates from a different day, those are really great body workouts too! It's 24/7 so it's super convenient.

Gimme Fit - Personal Trainer Coach Felipe helping members assess strength

The first thing I thought upon entering was that this is by far the neatest gym I have ever been to. Second, I did not have to wait at all; Coach Yajen was very punctual. Third, I realized he was serious about my well-being when he started by asking what I was hoping to get out of signing up with his gym. Then he gave me a realistic outline of what I could expect from this type of training. Once I began going to classes, I saw that the coaches really enjoy what they do. They even invite members to join them for events outside the gym (such as indoor rock-climbing, pickleball, and Spartan races) for which they have no financial incentive. The community of members is so cheerful and supportive of one another that I did not feel out of place, even on my first day. Three months in, I am surprised that I could still regain strength and conditioning so significantly at my age. But what has truly amazed me is how Yajen continues to follow up. He uses objective measures, such as body composition scans and the Level Method criteria, to report my progress to me, in writing, every 1-2 months. He sends text and email messages reminding me to show up for these measurements. He checks in with me whenever I go too long without asking him any questions. He knows my weakness (poor eating habits) and periodically nudges me with specific suggestions to improve. I had been with several fitness trainers, and even another Crossfit gym, in the distant past. I can honestly say none of them had ever shown this level of dedication and integrity.

Yajen and Brittney are both excellent trainers who go above and beyond to ensure you're not only pushing yourself to your greatest potential, but maintaining good form and optimum safety to avoid injuries. I'm new to the CrossFit world, so it was important to me that I was well prepared to begin my fitness regime with safety at the forefront and coaches who were willing to answer any questions I may have regarding lifestyle, nutrition, and how I can achieve my goals successfully while sustaining them. Yajen and his team provide that and MORE. They utilize the Level method to measure your overall strength, a pretty holistic approach that ensure your building strength in all areas of the body while improving functionality (check it out on their website for a well-detailed description). Since beginning Crossfit a little over 3 months ago, my strength--flexibility--and endurance have all increased. My squat depth has improved beyond what I expected. As someone as stiff as myself, I appreciate that Yajen and his team place functionality at the forefront and explain in great detail how each workout is performed. They definitely live out the definition of "Trust the Process". Looking forward to participating in my first Spartan Race in the upcoming months-- a goal I didn't realize I'd have this soon. Oh, and above all-- working out here is FUN, come join us and have a great time! :D

The workouts are never the same and I am always sore... we love that they have 8pm classes Monday-Friday very convenient for our work schedules if we have to to work late. Needless to say after our 1st groupon day we were ready to sign up for the membership the next day hahaha In the past 4-5 months I must say I am feeling a little leaner, stronger, and toner. the most important thing is that we are not bored coming to class 5 days a week!

Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!
