The place is dirty. The bathrooms are a breeding ground for herpes. The entire place is trashed. Most of the tread mills are broke down and tears on all the machines. I went to cancel the membership (which took 2 months) and they TRIPLE charged my card so I had to call up the credit card company and get the charges reversed! read more

I've had my membership for about a year now. I love it here! The workers at front are always so friendly and really make sure they say hi/bye to everyone. Every time I walk in I get tempted to buy a new shirt or sweater because they're always coming out with new styles! They have a variety of supplements, cold drinks, and they even offer preworkout shots which is creative. The place is clean, bathrooms are always spotless. The only thing is that I wish they'd offer disinfectant wipes to clean up machines after use. Instead they have towels and spray that people reuse. I bring my own disinfectant wipes because I don't like the idea of reusing towels to disinfect. I love the music they play. There's been times when I either forgot my earphones or they weren't charged and I actually didn't mind LOL. I like that the lights are dim and locker room has a purple neon light across the top. The whole aesthetic is upbeat and vibey. The Apple Valley location is not as big as the Victorville location but it has everything you need to get a good workout in. read more

I had to cancel a previous membership back in 2023 because I had a serious illness and was undergoing treatment for about a year. Because I couldn't get around at the time the manager agreed to make an exception and cancel it via email. I recently went and got a new membership and was going to the gym regularly for about a week and a half. Today I walked in scanned my card and was stopped by Elvira. She was so incredibly rude to me and wouldn't allow me in. She said I was in collections for a previous membership. I have absolutely nothing on my credit in collections. I showed her the email I had from the previous manager agreeing to cancel my membership. I also told her I just paid for my new membership she wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. She called her manager Jessica F. And would not share with her what I was showing her. My proof. She kept saying I was reimbursed. What I was reimbursed for was the membership I canceled. They still charged me for my new membership. Her response to me saying that a manager Erin canceled and reimbursed me my old membership was "oh well they dont work here anymore" even with me showing her the email i am uploading here. She wouldn't listen to me and just humiliated me in front of other members. I left in tears. I went to Freedom Fitness and they where so kind. I got my workout in and a membership for me and my daughter there. Came home to make a report with my bank since I am being charged for a gym membership at The Gym and they won't let me in. I now realize why they have such low reviews. Elvira needs serious training on customer service. read more

The staff are all amazing and friendly. Being open 24/7 really works for me. They have a lot of different equipment and free weights so you can get a full body workout. There's an app that can be downloaded from the Life Fitness equipment that keeps track of your reps, weight, and progress. It also has a place for notes, such as if you want to increase or decrease the number of reps and/or weight for your next workout. The app also features a timer for in between reps, which is nice. I love going to this gym. I've never had a problem with any creepers. The ONLY thing I don't like is the music. It's full of foul language and foul content. I'm at this gym while writing this review. I'm a silver sneakers member and have health issue. Upon arrival at this gym today I noticed the towel was missing next to the sanitizer where the members are able to wipe down the machines for safety purposes due to COVID. I immediately went to the front desk asking for a towel. The response was I needed to either buy one for $3 or bring my own. I then explained to the fellow at the front desk that I have underlying health issues along with my husband and do not want to use my own towel for someone else's germ. If I bring the COVID virus home I'm risking myself and my husbands life. I then canceled my membershi. read more

Worse customer service and a rip-off when you try to leave. I could not figure out how to end my membership; I called someone who told me they would take care of it, but I found out later that the only way to end a membership is through a mailed-in letter. You can't even end on a website. When I figured it out, I had to pay them 3 months back for their membership. This is literally a night club, can't convince me otherwise. Men are shirtless here and the women are dressed in bikini like gym clothing. Love this place. Always greeted when I enter. It's Immaculately clean. Someone is always cleaning. I was given a complimentary training session when I came in the first return visit after signing up. I chose to stay with the trainer because it worked so well for me. I have so much energy now. Every time I have had a question the staff has been very helpful. And they consistently wish me a good day when I leave. I would give a 5 but the music has stayed way too loud. read more

I went in to sign up under my silver sneakers contract. I had asked on a prior occasion when I went to check the place out if they had anybody that would be able to familiarize me with the machines and they told me they did not have anyone, they said basically you're on your own. Because I am not too familiar with the gym machines, I asked if my wife could come in one time to familiarize me with what types of machines and exercises I should be doing, they told me no, only members are allowed in. I was only asking for a one-time situation so that I use the machines correctly and don't hurt myself. The staff at this place are not very friendly and border on the side of being rude.
