I've had my membership for about a year now. I love it here! The workers at front are always so friendly and really make sure they say hi/bye to everyone. Every time I walk in I get tempted to buy a new shirt or sweater because they're always coming out with new styles! They have a variety of supplements, cold drinks, and they even offer preworkout shots which is creative. The place is clean, bathrooms are always spotless. The only thing is that I wish they'd offer disinfectant wipes to clean up machines after use. Instead they have towels and spray that people reuse. I bring my own disinfectant wipes because I don't like the idea of reusing towels to disinfect. I love the music they play. There's been times when I either forgot my earphones or they weren't charged and I actually didn't mind LOL. I like that the lights are dim and locker room has a purple neon light across the top. The whole aesthetic is upbeat and vibey. The Apple Valley location is not as big as the Victorville location but it has everything you need to get a good workout in.

I never have trouble getting on equipment and I go at all hours. Everyone is friendly, but people are mainly focused on fitness there. This is important to me because I partly use the gym for Me Time and I don't like the "See and Be Seen" social aspect of some of the larger gyms in the area. If that is your thing then I don't recommend this gym. If you want a quiet place to go and work out while you're listening to your audiobook, this is the gym for you. There are people of all ages and fitness levels here, and everyone is really respectful and supportive of everyone else. The place is clean and well kept. As another reviewer said, you have to pay out your contract if you quit, but if you provide a doctor's note that fee is waived. They have a two week free trial membership so you have plenty of time to decide if it's worth it to you. The classes there are free to members but others can pay a small fee to attend, too.

I recently started a membership at this location about a month ago after seeing a promotion online…read morefor $1 down and first month free. Originally when I signed up they tried to charge me full price, and I had to talk to the staff several times in order to get the deal as described in the promotion. This location offers dedicated sessions with personal trainers, which is something I was looking for, as I am a disabled veteran and have some mobility issues left over from my time serving in the military. I was looking for someone to help tailor a workout plan for me that doesn't aggravate my old injuries. This location's personal trainer's name is Scarlet. Now, I'm relatively introverted due to PTSD, but Scarlet is not, and she likes to talk. She talked about how her ex-boyfriend was cheating on her and then kicked her out of his house when she wasn't paying her share of the bills. How he complained that she was putting him in a bunch of debt. How she had to move back in with her parents, but she doesn't get a long with them and wants to move out. About how her ex still regularly asks her to come over for some "fun" despite him being with a new girl. How she doesn't make enough money to make her car and insurance payments. How she wants to quit this job and get one where she can earn tips to make more money. She talked a lot about the things going on in her life during our sessions, and it all eventually cumulated in an offer from her to me of a sugar baby type relationship. I'm not really interested in that, so I politely declined, brushed it off, and didn't think much more of it. However, I did notice that she was not as talkative after that. Fast forward several weeks later to today, after her having not shown up to the gym at all for the previous session, instead of meeting Scarlet for our session today, her general manager, Domi(?), is there waiting to talk to me. Apparently Scarlet has complained to Domi that I was being "unprofessional." I was accused of saying a handful things that were half-truths and whole lies during our past conversations while I was working out. Conversations that were initiated and led by Scarlet, while I was out of breath and just trying my best to half-participate while I concentrated on proper form during my exercises. Even another staff member who was present confirmed that I did not do/say some of the things that she was accusing me of. None the less, I am now no longer welcomed to use the training services at this location, and must drive an extra 20 minutes across town to a different location if I want to use their personal training services. Very inconvenient. Scarlet complained a few times about men in general during our sessions, so honestly I just think she might have some personal issues that she feels the need to take out on random men who sign up to train here. I've noticed that all of the other clients that I've seen her with are women except for one other guy who's always there with his mom. Or maybe she's upset that I declined her offer, who knows, it's hard to say. Personally, I've never had anyone treat me like this before, but I can see that having this type of thing happen to you repeatedly would grow your resentment towards the opposite gender, further perpetuating this type of behavior in others. Crazy stuff. At the end of the day, not having her as a trainer isn't a huge deal, but accusations thrown at me out of nowhere in this fashion really made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome at this gym. Even if they claim I'm still welcomed to train there on my own, the vibe is now completely off. If you're a guy looking for a personal trainer and not a sugar baby, look elsewhere.

It's located in the historic Apple Valley Inn business park, on the left side by the big main restaurant building. The studio exterior is painted light blue, so it's easy to spot. They require very instructor to have a 200 hour certification, and wow, can you tell and feel the difference that level of training makes. Their cueing was precise and easy to follow without looking. Both instructors at the classes I took were kind, gentle but challenging, and encouraging in the more challenging poses. They explained each pose so clearly, with a constant reminder to breathe, that a beginner could easily follow along and feel great about it. I didn't think I'd be able to do some of the longer holds, but she gave authentic encouragement and I did!! The studio itself is serene, smells heavenly, and feels calm and refreshing. You can feel the intention to be true to the tenants of yoga and it's incredible physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits. The yoga room is airy and bright, with floor to ceiling picture windows with drapes to darken the room when needed. Plenty of space around you to breathe, move, and you won't get sweat on by your neighbor. Complimentary hot tea available. The yoga room is tech/phone/distraction free... You'll find no gym-feel here. No competitiveness, no mirrors, no selfies, no one trying to outdo the other. They've made the intention and tone obvious. For YOU to meet YOURself on YOUR mat... get quiet and in touch with what's going on inside, move it through and make space for more juicy goodness. The highly trained instructors guide you not only the physical poses, but continually offer the mindset of yoga as well. It's a huge difference. I'm already in love with this studio. I think you will be too.

The owner, Beth, is very warm and personable! She made sure that she had memorized my name before my first class was over. I appreciate that I don't need to mess with any weights or machines! I get to challenge myself to breathe past the pose holding and find myself looking and feeling much better! Including my forever aching hips! Even just showing up once a week! My only reservation is that the studio was a bit chilly (which is often nice when my body is warmed up and I'm sweating though!) I can not recommend it enough!
