She can't stop talking about it all week, dances wherever she is, and always looks forward to her next class. There are about 5 other kids in her class. Teacher Eva is great with the kids, and parents get to sit and watch in the lobby area on the tvs if they choose to stick around. The lobby area seems to be a bit small and can get a little crowded between classes as parents drop off or pick up, but my daughter loves it so much we enrolled her for the 23/24 year in a ballet/tap/tumble class. I also have nothing else to compare it to, so I have no idea how big other places are or if they provide a peek into the dance classes with the tv, but I like that this is offered here!

I liked the jumping part of class, but was a little heavier than some of the other students so tended to be a bit snubbed by some of my classmates as the skinny girls formed a clique and would push themselves to the front of the class during movement practice. The space (classroom) fit the nature of the classes and could get a bit camped depending on enrollment and attendance. We did get to wear a leotard and tutu, which was what I found the most fun. A couple of years later I started competing for a local swim team and found the swimsuits we wore were the same cut as the leotards we wore in ballet. I thought that was cool, what I wore for ballet extended beyond the classroom and prepared me in some form for the attire of swimming.

The beauty is that classes focus more on technique than super challenging advanced steps, making it so you always get a killer workout. Wonderful place to workout…read more Dozens of people have messaged me and asked more specifics relating to my other review. Here are some details: Classes can be very very full so plan to dance close to other people. As of March 2022 masks are no longer required and most everyone attending (adult classes) do not wear them. Music is lively and fun but also super loud so bring your ear plugs if your hearing is sensitive. If you register for a class don't miss the class or cancel the class no closer than 8 hours before the class (I believe) or you will be charged a $15.00 fee. Many many people want to get into class so cancel early. SDF has mostly dance fitness classes offered in the evening and a few other class options (turbo kick etc offered in the morning) as part of the $125.00 monthly membership fee. In addition there are some other special classes (Twerk and monthly dance parties etc) offered at about $25 per class but see the website for further details. I do not believe SDF is part of "class pass" etc. No showers or lockers but there is a bathroom and a bunch of cubbies. The dance floor is cushioned which is great for the KNEES. Super tall ceilings and the gigantic garage door stays open which allows for great air movement. Parking is often tough so you might have to park off site at the park or near the Costco and walk over to the studio. Uplifting community and a great place to land if you love to dance for fitness but aren't looking for super complicated choreography Yes, ALL are welcome here!!!

They will cancel classes and not give you refunds, and they will not follow the industry standard of allowing you to select the level that matches your body by forcing you to purchase overpriced classes to prove to them you have "experience." These classes are not cheap, and they again won't refund.Better to take classes from other studios in the area that are affordable, will allow you to choose your own level without going through payment hoops and will actually refund you for classes THEY cancel last minute.

It allows me to see my son's class and gives my younger one a place to distract himself while I do so. The only thing that I would like to see is jr assistants for the teacher. At this age group there is always at least one child in the class that gets distracted. There was one in particular in my son's class. The teacher had to spend a lot of time calming him down every time, which paused the lesson for everyone else. An assistant would have been perfect to take care of him while the teacher kept on with the class. It is also fantastic that they have a music school right next door (same owners).
