Recently I made the fearless decision to change my career path…read more In order to begin this path, I had a deadline to meet for a physical ability test. With little gym training, I had to search for a personal trainer and fast! I found Burntown Fitness! Personal trainers Kisar and Traci have the expertise and patience to get you through your challenge, whatever that may be. In less than 3 months, I successfully completed the physical ability test exceeding minimum qualifications, and was able to be tested remotely at their facility. I have interviews lined-up in law enforcement! I am beyond grateful!

This review is a long time coming. I've been going to Burntown Fitness since around the time they…read moreopened. I was looking for a gym that was close to my house, and that had early morning sessions to fit my schedule. What I didn't expect is an amazing facility, with a fantastic training staff, an owner who cares about every single one of his clients on a personal level, and a clientele with that get-it-done attitude to keep me motivated. I am the kind of person that needs a trainer to tell me what to do, to push my limits, and take an interest in my health and fitness goals. I feel like Kisar (the owner) is always trying to improve the classes by bringing in new and fresh ideas to the table, which is great, considering I really enjoy challenges. And if you work out with him, be prepared to get REKT. That guy pushes you to your limits, every time!! Burntown also has nutrition programs to help you kick start your journey. And the trainers... can't be spoken about highly enough. Each one is FANTASTIC and adds their own flavor and style to their classes (s/o to Emily who has a booming/motivating voice, who takes time to correct my form and lets me know if something looks to easy for me). I love a gym that takes time to learn about each members goals, and help them achieve them. And I love a great community that supports one another, and you get that here with Burntown!

After seven years of attending classes and exercise activities we have found that we like this…read morebetter than some of the other exercise clubs we've tried. They have really great hours. The bathrooms are always clean and once you figure out what is the best time for you to attend, you can get in an easy groove and attend on a regular basis without any hassle there's plenty of room to do whatever you wanna do here lots of space and lots of options. The pool is exceptional. The hot tub is great. The exercise areas are amazing and the indoor walking trail is really amazing in the winter if you want to stretch out and stay dry, we use it all year because my husband is blind and it's the safest place for him to walk. We really appreciate all the amenities here they are very handicap friendly and the staff is exceptional. We love coming here

I had never been in this building even though we often are at the library next door. My son and…read morefiance have told me many times how nice it is inside the facility and specifically my son has said how badly he wants to try the waterslide. My fiance and I had a few minutes to spare today so we decided to drop in so she could show me the facilities and we could talk with someone about a membership. As we are walking down a hall (within the first 5 minutes of getting there) in mid-conversation this older man begins following us and recording us. I don't mean to stereotype but it is what it is, this man was filthy, looked like he hadn't showered or changed his clothes, you get the idea. He tells us that we look like people who stole from there yesterday. My fiance told the front desk and they basically said the following: He recently had his cell phone stolen, so thats why hes suspicous of us. (The one he used to film us with I presume?) And basically we just need to deal with it... I never do reviews and really try to avoid leaving negative ones. But not only did this homeless older man follow us with a camera in our face just for entering the building...the worst part is the staff basically profiled/stereotyped us and told us to deal with it. My fiance said it best, "how could we have avoided that? Just for entering the building we are subject to that?" I definitely don't feel comfortable allowing my child to be there in a bathing suit. God forbid he "fits the description" or something and has to deal with the harassment from guests followed by a shrug of the shoulders from management. If you have a son or daughter who goes here regularly I would just like to say BE CAREFUL and PAY ATTENTION to who may be watching or FILMING YOUR KID!
