After having Jazz Audio do a number of jobs on our vehicle, which we happily paid for and even called on several occasions to say how happy we were with the work, we had trouble with our remote start. It was a gift for Christmas of 2020, so less than one year old. AND IT HAD STOPPED WORKING MONTHS prior to today, but we had not had a chance come in until today, well within the one year warranty. We were told it would take 10 minutes and would cost us $45 to re-program. Why should this warranted product go bad and then, if within the warranty period, should we have to pay anything for a re-programming. When we tried to discuss this with the owner, he was incredibly nasty, claiming I had yelled at him, which I had not. He thereupon told us to leave his store and never come back. Although I had recommended him to many friends and were planning on other work for him to do, we certainly will never darken that doorway again. A classic case of showing true colors! And very poor customer treatment. Will pass on our feelings to others. read more

The most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with. I had an automatic starter put in and had issues immediately after with my two year old vehicle that was perfectly fine prior to their work. I bought a remote starter/alarm in November of last year. 5 Months ago. In that time I have been back to Jazz Audio 3 times with the same complaint. The remote wouldn't start the car, alarm or disarm the car, even when I was standing right next to the car. I would have to press the button many, MANY times to get the desired result.. Every time I went there they took my car in the back and "fixed it". But the problem actually seemed to get worse. I finally had enough and bought another remote starter/alarm from another store and had them install it. They weren't surprised at all when I told them where I was before. Said that they get a lot of business fixing Jazz Audio's mistakes. They asked me if I had brought my own unit or bought one from them. Apparently the unit that Jazz installed was old too. Like almost 2 years old. They showed me what the new model looks like, and what they sold me. Not really a big deal, but it just adds to the question what the hell is going on? Why would I get a 2 year old unit? I probably should have gone with my gut feeling about them. When i was there getting the unit installed a woman came in and she was having problems with her remote starter. The guy working at the register asked for her receipt. She didn't have it but asked if they could look up her receipt on the computer. After all they did have her phone number. The cashier told her that that was not possible and that they needed a receipt. That seemed really weird to me, especially since they took my phone number too, and I saw him use it to look up my work order when I arrived earlier that day. read more

They tried selling me a cheap quality LED bulb for $20 when it should really be just a few dollars and then on top of that wanted to charge an additional $45 just to install it...which would've taken 2 minutes (It was a center brake light replacement). Be fore warned if you choose to go here. Mike the "manager" is great over the phone. I called an hour before I went in and the price changed within the hour. I have dual headrest DVD players "installed". This disgusting place took advantage of me because I was there with my 2 small children. He quoted me one price. WHen I got there with my own equipment the price jumped $100. He said it was because they were the "big" ones and claimed I never told him. Interesting because he actually got me a price several days before on the identical equipment. The installation was appalling. When the car was done I was loading my children into their car seats and asked if they could show me how to work it. What a joke!!! The installer (a man with no teeth that looked like he was picked up on the corner) had no idea other than to turn it on. The units were supposed to play individual movies or the same. They did not hook up the wire to allow my children to see the same movie. When I asked for mike he actually had the audacity to tell me "you didn't tell me you wanted them to work that way" Are you kidding!!!!!!! Of course I did. Either way why should I have to tell him that! He is the so called professional. He told me to come back another time after being there 3 hours already. When I got home I inspected the car further only to find huge clump of wires on the floor toward the back of the drivers seat. They was also a wire on the floor going from the drivers seat to the passenger seat. When I called about the wires within an hour of returning home I Mike said"well if you wanted the wires hidden, I would have had to cut the carpet. Did you want me to do that?" My answer was yes I wanted them installed! Interesting that the carpets never needed to be cut. He just did a bad job. (I have pictures to prove this terrible work) The amazing thing is when my husband got home from work. my son (6 years old) proceeded to tell him that the man at the dvd store yelled at mommy. Nice right. Note that i am not a pushover and had my boys not been there he would have heard a lot more. This place is a disgusting business that preys on women being nieve or so they think. I kept telling Mike that I am not who he thinks I am. I am a highly educated woman who will not be taken advantage of. I have pictures to prove this horrible installation and would be happy to send them to anyone that wants to see them. This place should not be allowed to be in business. I believe that if my husband had taken the car in it would have been done correctly. In addition, If I had bought the dvd player from him he would have done it right. I took the car to another place and they fixed the issues in under 30 min. Can you believe it was just one wire that should have been connected? They could have hooked them up and hid the wires. I believe that "Mike" told the installer with 30 years experience (yeah right) to do a fast job. It could have and should have been done right without any issues. I would never go back and will shout from the rooftops to anyone that will listen that this place sucks!!! If you choose to go there do so at your own risk. Save yourself a headache and avoid this place. I was given a price of $200 for a Viper remote start. I droped the car off and was told it would take a hour. Two and a half hours later when I went back to check on my car, I was told it would be ready shortly. Then they tried to charge me $250, saying they weren't aware of the model of my car. (Not true! I was asked by two different people The make and model of my car.) The remote start turned out to be a different brand and I refused to pay The additional $50. When I got home, I noticed they changed the rear license plate frame on my car without asking me. I refused to give them free advertising. I also noticed there were two minor scratches on my one week old car on the rear bumper near the rear plate. These scratches weren't there when I droped off the car and I believe they were caused by their employee when he changed the rear plate frame. This place is horrible. read more

2nd time visiting the store. First time we brought a brand new vehicle with 7 miles on it for a remote start. When we picked it up there was a long scratch by the license plate. They put one of their own frames on it and it looks like the screw driver or drill slipped. The manager said we couldn't have done that-let me check the cameras. He came back a minute later and said "nope-wasn't us!" The dealer took care of it because they recommended jazz to us. 2nd time was about 3 weeks ago. Also for a remote start. By the time we got it back it was dark and late. We went out the next day and when I looked on the floor mat I was like WTF is that. Apparently the guy must have eaten his dinner in our vehicle. There was lettuce and tomato scraps! There was also shoe prints on the door panel. They obviously have no respect for people's belongings. I went back a few days later because the remote start was having issues. Some grungy looking guy came out from the back to talk to me with a lip full of chewing tabbacco and the nasty juice running down his lip. He told me "that's the way it works" and he looked pretty annoyed I was even there asking. That's my stories. Good luck. I wish I did the right thing and look at others in the area first! If I had to sum it up in a few words...this place is great. I stopped in to see if i could fix my key with my alarm on it because it had broke. I have been in here before and always received great service. Today was no exception. Better off getting your stereo installed at PC Richard. Had a great sound system in my last car for 5 years with no issue that PC Richard installed for me. Anyway I brought my car here to get new speakers and get some subwoofers installed. A week or so later the subs just stop working. Thinking a fuse blew on the amp I bring it back and ask for a new amp (the amp I was using was an older amp I had from a previous car so I figured maybe it was my fault for not buying a new one right away). They take it in the back and come out to tell me both the brand new subs and my amp were broken. Said he would send the subs to the manufacturer for a new set and in the meantime said he'd put a single subwoofer in there for an extra hundred bucks for now so I didn't have nothing while I waited. So I figured why not, they seem nice enough. Well today the one sub they had put in there literally 3 days ago just stopped working. The replacement they sold me stopped working 3 days after it was installed. Only couple of weeks after the other new equipment stopped working. Needless to say I have very little faith in getting a refund and I don't want them touching my car ever again. On top of it now I have to bring my car somewhere else to get it done the right way. All together I gave these guys $1,100.00 and my sound system is not working at all and now I have to try and get my money back. Like I said do it the safe way and go to a big shop like PC Richard. There's actually some overhead and standards at places like that. Well I won't lie, I was given the remote start "through groupons" for Christmas, and have never done business with "Jazz Audio" before. I read some great reviews, and some not so great ones. So I was sorta expecting the sky to fall on me when I was booking. Today I had my remote start installed, it was a clean place surrounded by social people. I asked questions and they answered them, even had a conversation with a few other customers waiting with me. My car was done in 2.5 hours give or take a nobody cares. When the car was done, I paid for my needed "electronic thingy" and I went out back and was explained how to use the remote start. All in all I say it was a successful mission. I feel good about the work done and the time spent at Jazz audio, and paying for an extra device that I'm assuming allows me to use my existing key fob for my car instead of needing to carry around two? Isn't a deal killer to me. I would recommend Jazz Audio to anyone looking to have a remote starter installed and I'm sure they can install radios and amps or light bars just as well. What I did like and this might sound horrible to say, but the guys in the back where not 18 year old kids looking to cut corners. These guys I would say are 30 and up. Way past the we gonna steal your coins from your cup holder point in life. Which I feel comfortable with. I would honestly say, read the reviews if your bored. Check and see the pros and cons but really be practical on expectations. This company installs prob 10 remote starts a day and all other car audio needs they have going on back there. I'd rather my car take 48 hours to be done correctly then 2.5 hours and there's an issue. Patience is a virtue, respect the trade and skill of the workers. I've spent many hours sitting in the waiting room and have heard some stupid crap from customers and reasonable answers from the staff. I went to Jazz Audio in Selden NY first time having knowledge of LEDs and HIDs and asked them to install LEDs in headlights for my 2017 Accord. I was told that it will cost me a whopping $250 and an hour appointment to install them coz they need to remove the headlights and then install the LEDs which made me very suspicious. I saw videos on youtube and ordered my own LEDs for $50 from amazon and i was able to install them myself in 5 mins without having to remove anything but the old halogen bulbs. I must say i was very disappointed by the way i was mislead and i will never go there again for any sort of work . If this is how they treat ppl who have no knowledge about any work then i feel sorry for their customers. Good luck to all of you!!!! read more

My gf paid $400 for an autostart... which is super over priced...don't you agree? Then we finally get an appointment to have it installed, 3 weeks after calling. After dropping off the car at 930 this morning, she called at 2pm, to see if my car was finished and found out 2 installers didn't make it to work today and there were 27 cars ahead of mine! My Jeep sat there for almost 5 hours while people who made appointments much after mine were serviced first. This is what you should expect from this place. They had her money and didn't care to make good on their end of the deal and complete the installation as promised. Mike, the owner told her she could leave my car there over the weekend!?!? WTF! The people getting higher end installations were being worked on right away but since we were stuck and they already had our money, we were forced to wait. Needless to say after back and fourth phone calls and hours of aggravation he agreed to complete the job today. Horrible. I had remote start installed and upon arrival for my appointment, the owner told me "I shouldn't have even told you to come in today, I'm swamped." Very comforting. Two months later the key pad did not work to lock and unlock my car any more. It only worked to set the alarm. And not to mention I could not lock the doors from the inside either. In order to lock my car I had to manually lock each door. When I finally had the chance to bring my car in for service, they gave me a problem for not having a receipt...although I did not receive one after the installation was complete. But nonetheless, it is the 21st century, how is there now digital record?? I now have to bring my car back to the dealership to be repaired. Overall, VERY disappointed with the service. read more

It took almost a month to schedule an appointment in which she was advised they would need her car for 2 to 4 hours. Well they took her car in at 930 am and advised her there would be an additional charge of 100.00 because of her key? ???She drives a Scion. Not a Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc. (The groupon stated may have additional charge 45 to 75). Well at 430 pm she still didn't have her car back or even a phone call. When I called a women put Mike on the phone. He went on and on how someone was sick how I'm getting a great deal how he is so busy do to the blizzard coming blah blah blah. Never once did be apologize. Well at 550 my mom calls and Mike advised her the car was done demanded her credit card and he was leaving. He never called to tell her it was ready! !!!!!!!!!!
