If I could give more stars I would. Chris Barba exceeded all expectations this weekend when I brought my car, my mom's, and my husbands cars in to get our car seat installed. To begin, we had a car seat/ stroller that was given to us by a well meaning friend. Upon review of it, Chris immediately said that it did not meet current safety guidelines and suggested that we cut the straps and throw it out, which we did just that! I already felt safer knowing that he was knowledgeable about the most recent recalls and safety measures. Then, with patience, he installed our new car seat and bases in each of our vehicles, at no charge, and gave us a FULL education about the seat itself, how to use it, and so much more information that I never would have expected to learn. Chris is the authority on car seat installs and I would never go ANYWHERE else. I have already recommended him to all my friends and family who are expecting. A+++++++ for the service at Continental. Given his thoroughness, I'd also never take my car anywhere else if I needed his collision services! This is old fashioned customer service the way it used to be and should always be!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I found Chris through the NYS website for people who install car seats. They do this as a community service! Our car seats are so tight that I'm not sure if they're ever gonna come out of this car . I've even taken family Members to have their seats looked at, and Chris does it all with a smile. What I appreciate about Chris and Mike is that when we had a very noisy power seat (it still works, just sounds like chewbacca's mating call) they were honest with us, and said that the cost of trying to figure out what was wrong and then fix it was more than it was worth, and they didn't want to see us waste our money! While I've never had any work done with them, if it's ever needed, I know they will be my first call read more

Mike and Chris were amazing and really took a stressful situation involving my 2012 Toyota Prius and alleviated all of the pressure. From towing following an accident to dealing with my insurance company, these guys provided extreme value, not to mention my car looks new and they even detailed the inside, bonus!!! I would recommend these guys 10 out of 10 times. If you are in the market for a great car mechanic and collision place and live any where on the island, look no further then Continental Car Care. read more

I came across Continental Car Care on a recommended list of professional car seat installations provided by StonyBrook Hospital. I made an appointment with Chris who had immediate and flexible availability. Though we were transitioning to a convertible seat, he removed and also inspected my already installed infant seat to ensure that it was in correctly and that there were no physical damages or flaws. He then installed the new seat and went over all safety precautions with me and explained exactly how and why the positioning of seat/straps/buckles are done properly. From there he checked for any recalls on it (which I would have not thought to do), registered the seat and even dropped the registration card in the mailbox for me! He advised that I come back when my baby is around 35lbs and we will reassess her fit and determine the best seat positions for her. He was extremely helpful, very nice, very informative and educational. Most of all, I drove away with confidence and peace of mind that my baby is safe. Such a nice family run business really helping the community out and keeping our kids safe! Thank you Chris and (brother) Mike for offering such a valuable service! read more

Got my car seats installed here. Wonderful service! Very thorough and friendly. Will definitely be recommending friends. Thank you!

I went here to have pictures taken for Carco as I just changed insurance companies. I was serviced promptly and found the people extremely nice and professional. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a photo inspection or anything else that has to do with cars. The owner and his son run the business and we're both professional and very friendly. It was a pleasure to meet them. I had a tear on my console that was something they don't fix. They went out if their way to find me someone who could do the work. read more

They are crooks and theifs. They stole my car. I was a college student for 3 years. And when my car broke down they did not even allow me to tow it to the junk yard. Instead they wanted to rob my car and fix and sell it. They are all about money and not whether or not their customer is satisfied or not! read more

Great body shop! They detailed my car and took out a lot of scratched and marks before I returned my lease. Affordable and communication was great! read more

Late last year I had my car repaired after a tree fell on it..... a few months later I had a issue with it although I was not at home, I had to have it repaired in Florida. When I returned home, I spoke with Michael the owner of the shop and told him what happened. He offered to reimburse me a portion of the cost which I was very satisfied with. Micheal showed a fairness to my situation and I would gladly recommend and use his shop again... read more

What a Gem! Continental is a Certified Car Seat installer. Being a new parent to be, I wanted to make sure the car seat was installed properly and safely. I made an appointment with Chris. It was a great experience. He is very professional and did a great job with the car seat install, while educating me with little tips along the way to ensure the safest environment for my little one. He even checked the computer for possible recalls. I highly recommend. If I'm ever in need of body damage repair, I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys. read more

I had some minor damage to my left bumper from someone tapping it , leaving slightly cracked plastic damage/dent and some paint stuff. Nothing huge/functional but cosmetically not great for a 6 month old brand new car. I took it in recently and Mike walked outside with me, looked over the damage and presented options and costs (paint, leave bumper cover , paint + replace bumper cover) and the anticipated costs of each including labor. Very up front and transparent about everything, he even helped bring the price down some. There was no pressure, just an honest assessment. Then he called the parts place and gave me a clear timeline of repairs and approximate repair time. My quote was one day and the repair completed in one afternoon. The work was quality with a good paint match. My car looks like it should, a brand new, untarnished car. Great work. read more

Although the gentlemen were nice, what a rip off! I went in with a cracked headlight, where they called the dealership in front of me coming up with an astronomical price, then attempting to charge me 400$ additional dollars for labor. To replace a headlight! give me a break, I'm a big supporter of mom n pop shops, but not when I got it for HALF the price at pepboys, and they were clearly lying about the price of the headlight. Wont be back here. read more

Great place, very nice people. I won't go anywhere else for auto body work. Id recommend them to anyone. read more

We went to Chris Barba for our car seat inspection and he was fantastic! We got him off http://www.safeny.ny.gov/seat-per.htm. He was very thorough, informative and did a great job at making us confident and informed. I noticed there wasn't many inspectors between Riverhead and Farmingdale. This is right in the middle and really was a great experience. It was very easy to get an appointment with him and he spent alot of time explaining everything we needed to know about our car seat. I will definitely be recommending him to all my friends and family! read more

I can't say enough about this family run shop. I took my son's car seat there to have properly installed. They are a certified car seat inspection station. My husband had installed it but it moved a bit too much for me so wanted to insure it was safe. When Chris was done installing the seat it was as if it had been welded into the car. They were incredibly nice and a pleasure to business with. I HIGHLY recommend this company!!!! read more
