So this ice cream parlor is located in the midst of downtown Milton.I have been here a few times and so far have tried three flavors that include coconut, cookies and cream and black cherry. Ahhh and black cherry will now be my most favorite, a flavor pre decided for each visit!Problem solved.LOL. The pricing is pretty reasonable too for two kid size scoops with waffle cone it comes close to $7. Service was quick and friendly. Prices are hella cheap. My bf and I both got single kiddy scoops. This came up to a totally of $5.55. Portions were just right. Just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. I got the espresso flake (duh, anything coffee flavoured is my go to) and it was perfect. I thought the dark chocolate pieces were gonna get in the way but they were surprisingly tasty and did not interfere with the ice cream. I usually don't like nuts or chocolate chips in my ice cream, but the flakes were ok. My boyfriend enjoyed the strawberry ice cream. It's made with real strawberries! In the short time I was chatting with him, I learned that he runs back and forth between two locations and does a lot of the work himself. My first few experiences were on hot summer evenings downtown Milton, when you can't say "no" to ice cream. The wide selection makes it difficult to decide on your flavour of the night. Whether you choose the cone or the cup, you'll get a good-sized portion. The location is great for taking a stroll, as the park is not too far away. There are benches outside if you don't want to stay inside Jay's to consume your treat. I ordered a birthday cake from Jay for an 8-year-old. The cake is purely ice cream, your choice of any flavours. Jay was more than helpful with his recommendations for combinations and size (depending on how many mouths you have to feed). Once again, my son, the yelper helper, and I went out looking for something to yelp about, and he had directed me towards Jays Ice cream. I suppose he spotted it when we were at the farmers market. So, off we go, and its not that big but its a busy little spot, so kudos on the main street traffic and bringing them on in.
