Store front - one person/family at a time

After a nice nature hike at Crawford Lake Conservation Area, made a quick stop at Whimsy Street Treats for some delicious frozen treats before heading back home! Taro & Lime Gelato Twist ($4.00) with added sprinkles (+$0.75) is one of their NEW July flavours and it is vegan too! Lime was a bit tart for me but the taro balances it out. You can't go wrong with taro though ^^ This melts super fast outside, so be sure to lick it fast lol! Stuffed Cheesecake ($7.25) is a Whimsy Stacker made with vanilla soft serve, real creamy cheesecake stuffed in the bottom, topped with graham cracker crumbs, and strawberry drizzles! This one was my favourite! The cheesecake was a nice surprise at the end :D! Limited entry - ONE person or family is allowed inside at a time :) If you see someone in the shop, kindly wait outside. Face coverings are much appreciated! Can't wait to come back again to try their freshly baked donuts and other creations like Cookie Monster Whimsy Stacker!

4.5 I've been craving to try their donuts. They just looked so good! Plus, I heard they were soft textured donuts. I came in early during the farmers market on a Saturday. Good thing because they were already running low on donuts! They only had about 4 or 5 flavours available so I decided to just get a box of 4. I got 2 maple donuts, a peanut butter chocolate and a Simpsons donut. I was pleasantly surprised on how good the peanut butter chocolate donut was. It was not overly sweet and the peanut butter flavour was strong but not overbearing. It tastes like a less guilty Reese. I throughly enjoyed the maple as it is usually my go to flavour. It's less sweet than a Tim Hortons maple donut which I very much appreciated. I scarfed down the Simpsons donut. Was it supposed to taste like strawberry or anything? I'm not sure, but what I do know, is that it was delicious. I was also craving one of their blended drinks and defs something with coffee. I was allllmost going to settle on the Nutella coffee shake (minus the Nutella) when he recommended vanilla ice cream blended with espresso. Perfect! That's so up my ally, I was down immediately. The first sip was so yummy. A nice coffee flavour, not too strong or bitter because the vanilla ice cream just smooths everything out. Making the drink this nice, creamy, chilled, morning pick me up. I defs want to try their other donut flavours next time!

Classic hot cocoa bombs and peppermint chocolate bombs

This review is for their hot cocoa bombs, which are delicious and beautifully decorated! I've tried the peppermint chocolate bombs and the classic chocolate bombs so far. The peppermint chocolate bombs had a chocolate shell with candy cane bits on top with marshmallows and Ghirardelli peppermint cocoa mix inside. Meanwhile, the classic chocolate bombs had gold edible paint streaks on the outside with marshmallows and Ghirardelli cocoa mix inside. People with a sweet tooth like me would definitely enjoy it and they were the perfect treats on a cold winter night! The kid in me also had fun watching these hot cocoa bombs melt into steaming milk and seeing the marshmallows and cocoa mix come floating out. The peppermint chocolate cocoa bomb was seasonal, so right now they have white chocolate cocoa bombs instead and they also have the classic hot chocolate bombs. They come in boxes of 2 for $15 and 4 for $30, which is a similar price range to other places selling them. In the future, I definitely plan on coming back to try their donuts and different ice cream flavours, which I've also heard are delicious!

Their chicken basket portions are terrible. Today we visited the location and we ordered a 4 piece chicken basked. 3 of the chicken pieces with very small, almost the size of a mcnuggets from across the street, and the 4th piece was broken in 1/2 for whatever reason, fell on the floor maybe? The fries were undercooked and also small in portion in the basket. Now the ironic thing is when DQ employees go on break at this location with a chicken basket, surprisingly their chicken pieces are huge compared to what they serve customers. As far as cleanliness is concerned, this DQ is a dump. Tables are always dirty and never cleaned. One of the older female employees took out the large garbage bag from the bin next to the entrance door into the dumpster in the back, and returned and served customers without even washing her hands. Absolutely disgusting ! Last week I ordered 2 x $6 deals - 2x burgers and drink/ fries. The burgers were brought to the table and the fries came about 15 min's later when I was already almost finished eating the burgers. Needless to say I will be spreading the word around in Georgetown among my friends and grandson's hockey parents to avoid this DQ. Either the owner doesn't give a hoot about customer service, or perhaps the employees or both. Regardless I've been treated terribly too many repeated times and well, now it's time for DQ Georgetown to start losing customers.

We ordered fish & chips, souvlaki, hamburger, Alfredo pasta and chicken Caesar salad. Portion sizes are large. No one had room for dessert. The fish and burger were pronounced outstanding, as was the house white wine, the souvlaki was acceptable but could have used more seasoning, the Alfredo was not a hit. The average for food was 3 stars. The atmosphere is welcoming with comfortable seating, stone topped tables and lots of wall murals featuring renaissance artworks. Service was outstanding and made for a positive experience overall. The uneven quality of the meals is really the only drawback - if you have a large group with diverse tastes it would still be an excellent option.
