Had a meeting here last Wednesday, this is my first time in this area as I usually just pass through to get to LA. I didn't get to browse the grocery section, you order in the main area and you pick up the food when it's ready in the back area where their kitchen is. Seating is mostly outside but there are 2 4top tables inside so we sat inside by the corner. I got a latte and an avocado egg sandwich. They have a lot of sandwiches available as well as options by the counter if you want pick up some pastries or food to go. I had my egg over easy and it was very good with the bread and avocado. The sandwich is filling that I only ate half and saved the other half for later. I also loved the side salad that comes with it. Nice area, lots of parking on a weekday morning, they also have other restaurants in the same lot. They also have charging stations in the lot. read more

A small marketplace for those who live in the Beverly Crest area. This place is modern and clean, but have limited options. It's good for when you need 1 or 2 recipe items and don't feel like driving down to the valley on either side of the hill. Prices are obviously going to be on the higher end given the location. Staff are always friendly and helpful. It's in a strip mall with other small eateries, so the parking lot gets filled quickly. There's plenty of street parking though. The cafe serves up traditional coffee drinks as well as a few specialties. They also have some pastries, which are good, but nothing out of the world. They do have a few seating inside and outside, but it is limited. 1. Chagachino (3.5/5) This is basically a coffee-alternative, though you can request for a shot of espresso be added. It consists of chaga mushroom powder, cacao, and cinnamon. I got it with coconut milk to give it creaminess, which it did, but overall, I felt the drink to be a bit too sweet for my liking. 2. Jalapeño Cheese Scone (4/5) I like the flavor of the Jalapeño, but the scone was a bit too dry and crumbly. The cheese was also lacking, but it could be because it was served cold. I wish they gave the option to heat it up so that the cheese would be melty and add a bit a moisture. read more

I came here during their Valentine's Day Sidewalk Sale event. This event was a joint celebration Valentine's Day combined with President's Day weekend from Feb 14th-Feb 16th 10-3pm. I fell in love with all of their shops including the puppy adoption but in the end we settled into Jadye's Market to grab a delicious eat. We were delighted to discover their deli in the back. It is ready to order and service is great. I puroused around every isle because every isle had a delectable treat that I was curious to try. They have a patio to eat your food outside including the accessible coffee shop right when you enter. I had the most heartfelt talk with my parents and my sister just happening to grab a bite to eat here on their patio. I feel like its a very hidden space of solitude and calm with delicious eats if you venture this way. read more

Me and my girl spotted this place a week ago hanging out with her family last week. I wanted to try the Bel Air Smash Burger which is FIRE in taste. Very expensive here, that should be no surprise. Waited at the deli to place an order and for good 5 minutes no one acknowledged me to see if I need something. My son and I enjoyed our sandwiches sitting outside on this perfect LA day. I got a turkey sandwich on baguette and my son got a smash burger that came with fries. JAYDE'S MARKET is a local supermarket located in a quaint shopping center in the hills of Bel Aire/ Beverly Glen. There is a sizeable free parking lot at this center. Jayde's Market, like any market, has pantry necessities, a deli, a butcher shop, a bakery and others. But what makes Jayde's Market stand out is due to the limited real estate, the selection of products are carefully curated. The wine shop part is large, in proportion to the rest of the market. The coffee shop is legit coffee shop serving espresso drinks. The deli has some great sandwich selections. The coffee shop portion serves very good Capuccino which we were able to enjoy in their limited seating space. The Bacon Chive Scone is solid! Very cheesy, texture is great... fluffy on the inside!!! This is a very cute specialty market nestled in the hills of Bel Air off of Beverly Glen. I had heard the sandwiches were very good, so I took the scenic route from the valley to the westside on a lovely Sunday afternoon. The market is small, with a few select products in each category. So select that I couldn't even find any bread. I finally decided their bread section must be the few loaves upfront and the frozen Ezekiel loaves in a small freezer. I ordered the Godfather sandwich from the deli, and it came with a side of fries. The bread was nice and soft, but a little too much bread for me on the top. The sandwich was good, but doesn't hold a candle to a godmother from Bay Cities. Everyone was really nice, friendly and helpful. There's a cute little side patio where I enjoyed half of my sandwich. This is a great neighborhood market. But since it's not my neighborhood, there's no reason to go out of my way to visit again. Bonus: small selection of specialty items, parking lot, the strip mall it's in is cute Bogus: expensive, almost like a small Erewhon. My sandwich was $18. It is a small grocery nestled on the hills of Beverly Crest. One of the shops at the Glen Centre. I come here to pick up stuff for my client. They do have a Cafe and a 'Wine Cellar'. This store caters the neighborhood. It is a walking distance and bikeable to the residents near by. Few tables outside for al fresco dining which is great when the weather permits. Plenty of parking. Gender neutral restroom. Restroom does have a baby changing station. It looks clean and the tiles are cool. I couldn't consider it my everyday grocery store though. Prices for me are pretty insane. A cup of Latte is $8. When I can get a lesser value at Starbucks. The store is clean, fully stocked and employees are welcoming and helpful. read more

The products here are top-tier quality and they carry so many brands I have trouble finding other places such as 'Peatos', (healthy hot cheetos) 'Glonuts', 'Bio-K' singles, and they even had 'Irish Sea Moss'! I also love how they have branded themselves as a healthy gourmet shop but they still don't think they are too good to sell goldfish crackers too. Which you know, I added to my shopping cart. Preamble: Several months back, my bestie and I were meandering the canyon of Beverly Glen. While there, we discovered a restaurant we really wanted to try, but shortly after being seated, we had to leave. We went to Jaydes and just got lost in this amazing store in order to get something quick, vowing to return to the restaurant and Jaydes. Fast forward to yesterday, the restaurant closed but I went to Jaydes and had an amazing memory of that trip.... Amble: I returned to Jaydes and allowed my self to wander around the store! It was even better than I remembered! The choices of products were so different than anywhere else. The market had beautiful items available with quite knowledgeable staff. I was reminded of why it seems so ideal to live in that area: everyone is friendly and unharried. The food selection I made was a caprese sandwich and the chocolate chip cookies. Loved it all!! I used to love coming here for breakfast or lunch because it's right next to my house, and the food is decent, but the service has fallen off spectacularly. Today I got to the counter at 11:23, when breakfast explicitly ends at 11:30. However, I was forced to wait until 11:36 to order, solely because the girl behind the counter was overwhelmed with the three customers before me, at which point I was told breakfast had ended at 11:30 and I was out of luck. I said I'd just take a mango iced tea at that point, which literally involves pouring two ready-to-go, premixed liquids together, and she proceeded to ring me up and then disappear for ten minutes, at which point I just gave up and left, since I don't have all day and still have to find breakfast! Ending breakfast service abruptly on someone when they have been patiently waiting in line for breakfast since before breakfast hours ended is just terrible customer service. I don't want to continue to support a business that has such little respect for its regular customers. Even McDonald's wouldn't do this. read more

There are tons of speciality small grocery stores in LA such as Wine and Eggs, Cookbook, Monsieur Marcel that have items you just can't get anywhere else. Jayde's selection did not impress me at all. It felt like Joan's on 3rd created a grocery store. While Joan's On 3rd may have been super trendy and cool in the 2000s and 2010s it feels a little bit outdated now- just like Jayde's. Due to the pandemic, I haven't gone into a store in over a year (ok - once to Trader Joe's, but that's it). But Jayde's is a great smaller market that offers so much, in a less intimidating size, that I have started to come here since I became fully vaccinated. They have great vegan products (chocolate, baked goods, Soyrizo, a smokey or truffle-y vegan spreadable cheese, mylks, wonderful produce (including Gaviota strawberries that rival Harry's), a selection of gourmet chocolate bars of all cocoa percentages TO DIE FOR, Rao's sauces & frozen meals, a freezer full of Coolhaus/Kreation/Haagen Dazs/Nancy's Fancy ice creams, store-baked goods that are beautiful AND delicious (cookies, muffins, lemon & fruit tarts, eclairs, cream puffs), a huge wine selection, bottled waters for every tax bracket, skincare products, high end CBD products, chips to satisfy every period craving, baby food, baking needs, all the condiments, & I could go on. The front coffee/tea counter heats up a very good made-in-house breakfast burrito - but....the best kept secret is their DELI COUNTER in the back. There you can sample & buy their ready to eat deli offerings. But if you have the time, you must order a restaurant-quality sandwich made for you....like: * A FANTASTIC fried chicken sammich. Made with either a spicy chili sauce or a yuzu sweet sauce (both excellent), plus a DELISH tarragon mayo (LOVE this stuff), lettuce, tomato & pickles. The chicken piece is LARGE, the bun toasted, & the whole thing unexpected in GREATNESS considering it's made for you in a market. * The Cheese Smashburger (add egg or bacon if you like) that again rivals any very good restaurant burger. Your choice of all toppings! * FRIES - plan on getting AND sharing, bc one order of perfectly skinny (like McDonald's-size skinny) is HUGE. Ketchup can be found w/napkins & coffee condiments, near the coffee/tea counter by the entrance, & hand sanitizer is placed by the outside seating/tables. A complete cafe experience can be created here for sure! If I'm in a rush, their cold case of grab & go salads, sandwiches (including a healthy & satisfying chicken wrap in a collard green), soups, and more are also delicious & timely. Same with their hot case of meatballs, mac & cheese, chicken, ribs, fish, mashed potatoes, & more. And! I always make room for a bag of Chicas (the best corn tortilla chips in the world), or the crispy lotus chips that come in Wasabi, Seaweed or Original flavors, and an edgy-flavored chocolate bar (Rose, Turmeric-Cardamom & Black Pepper, Cashew or Almond Butter-filled vegan dark with raspberries or crunchies) or a bag of Isabella's cookies. Prior to the pandemic, you could use tongs to grab an individual baked item (chewy Matcha Marshmallow, Raspberry Thumbprint or Choc Chip cookie; Kuign Amman; Berry or Seasonal Muffin or Pop Tart, etc.) but when they took extra precautions, the selections started selling in boxes of 4. And the cookies got GIANT!! Sadly they're too big of a portion for me to indulge in. But they're super good, & fresh! Sitting in the outside tables, & enjoying a hot sammich w/fries here makes me look over at the people gathered in other restaurants' nearby patio seating & wonder if they even have a clue as to what they're missing! read more

We apologize to Joseph, General Manager at Jayde's, because it is obvious Joseph cares about good customer service. It is a shame that the Jayde's employees do not care about giving good customer service (look for all the complaints in Yelp about the terrible Jayde's customer service, especially in-store). 6/21/24 Update: On 5/24 and 6/10, 2 "customers" specifically praise "Gabby" (probably in reaction to all the negative comments about Gabby's bad service). Are these real reviews? Both reviewers decided to "compliment" Gabby after NOT having posted reviews since 2017 and 2018. Hmmm ... are these friends of Gabby/Jayde's who were asked to post positive reviews? JAYDE'S HAS TERRIBLE PROBLEMS WITH DELIVERY ORDERS: If you decide to order delivery from Jayde's (we DO NOT RECOMMEND delivery orders from Jayde's), we would advise that you also call Jayde's to make sure that they have received your order, that they have the items you ordered, and that they are aware that it is supposed to be delivered. There is a female, Gabby, who answers the phone and does not give straight answers, so if you get her, we advise that you ask to speak to someone else in charge. If Gabby is the only one in charge, GOOD LUCK. THE FIRST SCREWED-UP DELIVERY ORDER: The female manager-in-the-front (believed to be Gabby), "forgot" that there was a delivery order and never told the Jayde's driver to deliver the order. Both times, the delivery got completely screwed up because the female manager-in-the-front (believed to be Gabby) did not bother to actually make sure the orders were prepared correctly. The story about Jayde's second delivery screw-up is in the paragraphs below. We finally called Jayde's and asked where our food was, since ChowNow said it was supposed to have been delivered a while ago. The female manager-in-the-front (believed to be Gabby) gave lots of ***EXCUSES*** before finally ***ADMITTING SHE HAD FORGOTTEN*** to tell the Jayde's driver about the order, and it was not delivered. We ended up finally talking to the General Manager Joseph, who had the food remade and had the food delivered by a Jayde's catering driver. Because Joseph apologized for the female-manager in front's screw-up (believed to be Gabby), we decided to forgive the mistake and eventually tried to order from Jayde's again, this time through Grub Hub, because Grub Hub has a guarantee if your delivery order is screwed up. Also, Jayde's has ***STOPPED ITS OWN DELIVERIES BY JAYDE'S*** since the last time they screwed up the delivery. THE SECOND DELIVERY ORDER SCREW-UP: JAYDE'S MADE THE GRUB HUB DELIVERY DRIVER WAIT WHILE JAYDE'S REMADE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ORDER BECAUSE JAYDE'S DID NOT HAVE THE ORDER READY The second time we ordered, we did not get a phone call from Jayde's UNTIL THE GRUB HUB DRIVER HAD ARRIVED that Jayde's was out of the Salmon Salad. That phone call from Jayde's occurred over 30 minutes AFTER we placed the order on Grub Hub. The odd thing is: Restaurants have to tell the delivery company (Grub Hub, DoorDash, UberEats, etc.) that the order is ready to be picked up, so ***JAYDE'S SHOULD HAVE NEVER TOLD THE GRUB HUB DRIVER THAT THAT FOOD WAS READY, WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY NOT READY***). WHY DIDN'T JAYDE'S CALL US IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIVING THE ORDER FROM GRUB HUB THAT THEY WERE OUT OF THE SALMON SALAD? Again, this is an example of Jayde's employees totally screwing up on delivery orders. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?? Obviously, the employees ignore the General Manager Joseph, even if Joseph DOES care about good customer service. BY DELAYING THE PHONE CALL UNTIL THE GRUB HUB DRIVER HAD ALREADY ARRIVED, JAYDE'S MADE THE GRUB HUB DRIVER WAIT ***A LONG TIME (OVER 20 MINUTES)*** WHILE JAYDE'S COOKED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REPLACEMENT FOR THE SALMON SALAD (all the salads are already pre-made and pre-packed, so that the only thing Jayde's has to do for a salad order is to take the salad out of the salad bin). Imagine the perfect little country market, if the "country" was the Malibu or Hamptons, and you have Jayde's. Only the best for Bel Air. Yet it's also friendly, with items you wouldn't expect in a small market, like a staggering selection of wines and spirits. And CBD-infused drinks, chocolates, gummy bears! Yes, this beautiful little market has the staples: milk, bread, meat, produce. But they're not just any old staples, they are the best, local, organic, fresh and a selection of wines sometimes not available retail elsewhere. Wolfgang, the on-staff chef, makes sure that everything in the deli is delish. (I don't normally use the word "Delish" but it just seemed fitting). Joe, the manager, is available in case you're looking for something special, and their wine manager will even research and find rare bottles for you. I live nearby and was lucky enough to go to a Yelp dinner there where I was able to try a wide variety of their foods. The fresh house-made soups are fantastic--I've had the sunchoke and the chicken and both are high-end restaurant-worthy. The butternut squash salad and superb. Even things I don't normally care for, like sausages (house made!) and poke surprised me with their deliciousity. My favorite item is the "Italian picnic sandwich," with salami, mortadella, ham, turkey, provolone, lettuce, olive tapenade, on a soft ciabatta roll. The tapenade makes the whole thing taste like a sunny day in Tuscany--it's like a magic portal of flavor! The Intelligentsia coffee and local pastries are superb! I normally don't like pumpkin lattes, they can just be sweet. Here it was actually savory (with a little sweet). The pastries are baked local and fresh every day. If you're lucky, you may even see a celebrity there, like Sylvester Stallone or Rod Stewart (I've seen 'em!). Hh what a gorgeous grocery store! They have a lot of local products, café in house as well as plenty of baked goods. Their meat counter is very appetizing, the store set up nicely. I have a separate one room with a great selection. Prices are high but you will find products you don't find elsewhere. Plenty of easy parking and a wonderful stopple pass exit area, highly recommend it! read more
