Good fun place to eat good bar food, as you can see we had quite the spread nachos, tacos, hot wings. We had a blast tossing a few back and eating good munchies, tasty.....

Grilled chicken breasts

The server was very kind, and the $13 burger is great, but the $16 for "chicken breasts for my dogs" is very disappointing...

Randomly stopped in to meet a friend for a drink. She comes here quite often and it was my first time there. Very interesting area. There is also video poker in the next room. Bartender was nice and friendly. Service was great. Only had drinks so I'm not sure how the food is.

Well, a palace it was not! However it was an easy in and out on our way to a Portland event. The place was spacious, comfortable and full of regulars on a Sunday night. The waitress was friendly, efficient and the food pleasantly presented. Two of us had burgers and two had chicken sliders on Hawaiian rolls. The food was excellent and cooked to our liking! The bar- in a separate space was crowded. A few pinball machines, a separate Lottery/casino space were available in the restaurant. The restroom was in serious need of service, and though we noticed several waitstaff were in and out- nothing was swept and the paper towels not refilled ( eek... did they even WASH their hands?) Would we eat there again? Not likely.

This is basically a restaurant bar connected to some video poker areas. It took a minute to find the right spot and we almost left, but eventually found the restaurant which had amazing staff and great food!

Some say the building is cursed as both Waddles and Hooters failed, but think about how long each was there for? It is not cursed; it is just that times changed. In a time where restaurants in Jantzen Beach are closing as frequently as the weather changes, we're lucky anything new is opening here. Stanford's, Cracker Barrell, Red Lobster are already gone, BJ's is closing on February 21st, the place is the Death Valley of restaurants. You can argue amongst yourselves about the socio-economic reasons for it. We are here to talk about chicken however, and that is what this place is all about. And not your healthy chicken either, this is fried and served with fried stuff on the side. You can opt for a Caesar salad on the side if you really feel the need for a veggie, but again, that's not what this place is all about. Are you thirsty? This place is also a bar! Alcohol and fried stuff, as natural a pair as the Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. The service is always good, they really are interested in giving you a good experience. I've tried the sandwich, the tenders and this last visit the spicy tenders. The spicy tenders were amazing! The tots and fries are tasty and salted just right. Health minded people need not apply here, this is for people living their lives in the fried lane. And what's wrong with a fried meal every now and then? Everything in moderation, right?

This place and food is amazing!!! A++

Love the chicken, so crispy and the tacos, all the flavors. They need to bottle and sell the curry ketchup!

First time there today. Kinda quirky as expected, but still fantastic. Possibly the best chicken ceasar salad I've ever had.

The person at the bar was awesome! All the staff were friendly! Plenty of seating available and multiple TVs to watch. Even saw some kid toys in a corner for the littles. Now to the food... the burgers were delicious! All of it. The bun was toasted perfectly. Meat was tasty. Loved the toppings... We also tried the jalapeño poppers and fried pickles. Mmmm! We will be back next time we are in the area!

We were in the mood for sandwiches, took a quick look at the menu, and decided to go with the Reuben -- great choice. They have a solid tap list with a nice variety, including at least one NA beer and a cider option, which I appreciated. The place definitely has the feel of a classic neighborhood sports bar with several TVs, and they were even advertising a Super Bowl chili cook-off you can enter, which sounded fun. The staff was very attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Our Reuben came out split for us without any issue, stacked high with meat, and came with a mountain of fries. It was easily one of the better Reubens I've had around town -- very flavorful and satisfying. The bar itself is spacious with plenty of tables, making it good for both larger groups and small gatherings. Parking is street parking only, which can be a bit limited depending on the time of day, but manageable. Overall, a great neighborhood bar with solid food and a welcoming vibe. If you are into it, they even have a free tour of their haunted underground basement every third Thursday at 7:30 pm.

The inside space is reminiscent of a standard dive bar. It reminds me of the old days when people could still smoke inside in Portland! I opted to sit in one of the outdoor alcoves and it was very cozy. The picnic table bench had been wired so that the seat was heated. The server was really kind and offered to turn on the fire feature that was located on top of the table. Despite it being very cold outside, it was plenty cozy. The server made a drink recommendation, and I indulged. Overall, I was really impressed by the elaborate thoughtfulness of the outdoor space and pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service that accompanied my visit.

Ok, in the way back I had a group I would karaoke with but slowly our places closed, switched locations, changed crowds and it just was not great. The few spots I like are very crowded. This was such a great night. Crowded enough to be uplifting (seriously great crowd of awesome people) but not too many to be overwhelming. The Halloween AND Christmas vibes were pretty great. Made respect for first mounting a coffin on the ceiling, second - shoving a disco ball in it and, third... lighting it up like a freaking unicorn. Thanks to everyone putting in unique songs with a special shout out to the gent who put in sex Dwarf AND Too Drunk To Fuck... bravo... And, of note... I forgot what burger it was, but had faithful in the name ordered our drinks. They made our drinks right then in there and we sat down with a number on our table. Although it was a slower day that food came out so quick and it was hot, you can tell it was made of fresh to order. The burger tasted very charbroiled. Also enjoyed that the fries had a lot of seasonings. I'm a girl who loves ketchup and I was able to eat these fries dry. Very tasty meal!
