I read some of the poor reviews and think some of those weren't relevant. My Dr was very professional and very attentive. After a thorough review of my situation we discussed a plan of action that needs some insurance approval. I was very pleased with the process and the helpfulness of the office team from start to finish in my first visit. I will be treated for my hand injury and feel confident this is the best team to help me. I look at the other reviews with a grain of salt.

He did a fusion for me in C6-C7 in 2013. It continues to be doing well. He diagnosed me with severe bilateral carpal tunnel in 2022 and is okay with me refusing surgery for now (I don't do surgery because its not hindering my abilities but I do have atrophy on left palm). Dr Demers did surgery on my dad in 2019 and 2020, and my dad was satisfied with care and recovery (he passed in 2020 but from a non related condition). Now, I have some lumbar spine issues and Dr Demers has been supportive. He even explained that I needed to see orthopedic for my knee. As for front desk, I haven't had any bad experience with them either. I do a lot of check in on the Athena Health app, so they already have information.

His office staff was engaging and efficient and they scheduled me for surgery, even in the midst of a pandemic, in a very short time period. I was almost pain free immediately after the operation. Dr. Vacca was outstanding and I would recommend him to anyone that could use his areas of expertise. He is the type of doctor that will communicate clearly, be conservative regarding surgery but also tell you if there is someone or some place better suited. With the first nerve block he hit the correct area with his needle! I called it the "money shot", and knew there was hope for a better outcome than my previous ablations. Since 2 nerve blocks are required, I had to wait a little longer for the final 3rd visit to get the ablation. Being in the room with just him and ( Tech ) Dave was calming and relaxing. They both treated me with such tender care. My neck is doing REALLY well. Dr. Jacob Blake is 100% worth the wait.

I just moved to Tahoe Donner from the Bay Area so I'm not used to only having 1 dr. to see. He gave me a few vicadin and was supposed to call to schedule an epidural. I was getting them by a "real dr" before this idiot, I had to remind Dr. Blake to look over my MRI because he forgot he he ordered one for me before his departure from Truckee. I phoned Dr Blake's office prior to Thanksgiving. I spoke again on the answering machine. Again, no response. I'm am over it. I'll go back to Stanford where I won't get the shotty treatment. He should be ashamed of himself.

I've been slowly recovering, and Dr.Bantum has been great. He listens thoroughly, and has a very confident outlook. I'll be back in another few weeks. 8/7/19 Update I'm back again for my re-check.
