You never know what you'll get with him, sometimes he's paying attention and a nice guy and sometimes he's a completely different person. He pushed and pushed for me to do all day Ketamine treatments that didn't do anything. When the time came to move from Reno to a major university hospital in another state for treatment, he cancelled my very last appointment and when my father went in to pick up my prescriptions he realized that my prescription for the Fentanyl Patch (which I had been on for years) wasn't there. My father was told that this was the doctor's decision and when my father asked if he could speak to the doctor, he was rudely told NO and that THIS WAS THE DOCTORS DECISION! Then my mother called and asked "why aren't you titrating him down slower?" But she was told the same thing, NO! So, not only was I being transported by car to another state (which caused me incredible pain and suffering) I was also going through withdrawals at the same time...thanks to this cruel, vile man. Please think about this if you're choosing a pain doctor!

I had an appointment with him scheduled in a week, and he replied that we could discuss it then. No urgency, no help in the moment. In the meantime, I tried calling a pain management office within his own network (Carson Tahoe Health), hoping to bypass the referral. Unsurprisingly, they said no. I was in a lot of pain, frustrated, and feeling hopeless, until God sent me an angel. Someone told me about Dr. Nairzi and his walk-in urgent care orthopedic clinic in Reno (United Pain Urgent Care). I drove there, arriving at 5 PM. Within just over an hour, I was evaluated and treated with facet joint injections at C2-C3. For the first time in years, I was pain-free. I don't know yet if this will be a permanent fix, but the fact that I could walk in and be treated the same day with no referral was absolutely life changing. I now have a follow up appointment at his main clinic to explore longer term treatment options in case the injections wear off. This is how healthcare should work. Not delayed by bureaucracy or driven by profit, but centered on compassion, urgency, and the patient. God Bless Dr. Nairzi and his incredible staff for their vision, care, and for being the kind of doctor we so desperately need more of in this broken system.

It is usually pretty easy to get an appointment but they must adhere to insurance restrictions on timing. Office staff and the docs are all friendly and caring. The office is always sparkling clean. My main complaint is how consent to treatment is handled, it is put in front of the patient as you enter the treatment room with no opportunity to actually read it. It shouldn't be that difficult to hand out the document when you check in to afford a bit of time to read. Patients are only given a copy on request post procedure and I've not been in shape to remember to ask for it then.
