It would be helpful if there was an online link so patient could fill out in advance of their first appointment. Prominence Medicare required a $40 copay for the initial evaluation ($10/PT) and pre approved 16 visits. I had to suspend PT due to lower back pain and Dr requiring lumbar injections prior to an ablation therapy appointment and requested 6 weeks after ablation before resuming PT. Premiere closed my file until I could begin core strengthening PT in the future.

A caring, knowledgeable practitioner, Dr. Walsh listened thoughtfully as I recounted my over-zealous activities the previous two days. Then he did a variety of stretches and worked in the deeper spaces between muscles and skeleton, explaining each step of the way what he was doing. He then showed me some exercises I could do on my own and me video record them on my phone so I could practice after I left his office. Thanks to Dr. Walsh, I felt like a new woman the very next day. I wish I lived there so I could have regular tune-ups with him! It's good to know that he's a "homeboy" with a special gift of art and science, because I go to North Tahoe twice a year and will call him if I ever injure myself again. Last July 2025 I fell down my stairs and broke my left hip, I had to go to the emergency room and a doctor over at Swift Institute was on the Emergency side of it, and replaced my hip with a few screws. Well, the screws were coming out as I walked, so I saw Dr. Winkle back at great basin, and he said you're gonna have to have your hip totally replaced, as the screws are poking out.! I ended up in the hospital a few days after surgery with a stomach problem, and he actually came by to see me, and it had nothing to do with my hip, he just wanted to make sure I was OK! Absolutely incredible Dr, I highly recommend him and any doctor at Great Basin Orthopedics! The best! I needed a nausea medicine, and unbeknownst to Dr. Winkle the medicine he gave me for nausea also helped the stomach problem I was having so I could eat again, no other doctor has ever prescribed that medicine for me and I get these stomach issues a lot, we were really impressed!
