Dr. Calvert is the only person I will let operate on me moving forward. I was referred to him back in 2018 after I was unhappy with my primary rhinoplasty. My first surgeon did a revision to remove permanent sutures and ended up spending 4 hours in the OR doing who knows what. I was very unhappy with the result. Every doctor I met with about a revision said they wouldn't do it. I finally found a couple who immediately said I needed to see Dr. Calvert. I had my revision with him in 2018. A lot of these bad reviews need to just chill out and give their bodies time to heal. My nose took time to get where it currently is and it was absolutely worth the wait. It looks amazing now. Late 2025 I had my implants changed & a lift with Dr Calvert as well. I honestly didn't really think of him as a body surgeon because he does so much facial work, but this is by far the best my boobs have looked. This was my 3rd time having them done. The 2nd surgery was in 2015 and the implants were too big for my body long term so I was dealing with sagging and overall very unhappy. Dr Calvert did a lot of internal pocket work and they look better than my 1st breast augmentation. During that surgery I also had a brow lift & mid face lift. I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. He also added some fat into my nose since some of the cartridge could be seen - this is because I have thin skin on my nose. Overall I don't think there is a better surgeon. He's a really nice person and incredibly talented. If you want your nose to be "PERFECT" make sure he does your primary rhinoplasty. It's unrealistic to expect primary rhinoplasty results on a revision. My nose had to be rebuilt and I am constantly told it's perfect. Dr Calvert is obviously not cheap but I don't think you should be looking to get a deal when it comes to plastic surgery in the first place. read more

One of my friends recommended Dr. Calvert for rhinoplasty. He was very kind and knowledgeable during our initial consultations, so I decided to move forward with him. I sent him reference photos and videos, and he sketched out what he believed my potential results could look like. I don't even know where to begin because there are so many reasons to choose Dr. Calvert as your surgeon, but here's the breakdown. 1. He is an absolute artist! Seriously, he's a sculptor and loves his craft. I first came in with a really botched breast augmentation. My implants were sliding into my armpits. They were the wrong size, wrong placement, wrong type of implant, just wrong. Dr. Calvert was able to identify all of the issues and easily explain his plan of attack to get my boobs under control. My husband and I both loved his approach and his whole vibe! 2. Surgery with Dr. Calvert and his team is actually... dare I say it... FUN! I have had two surgeries at his surgery center so far and both times have been a 5 star experience. The staff is so sweet. I felt calm and safe from start to finish. I woke up from surgery both times in great spirits with no nausea, which isn't always the case for me. And, most importantly... little to no bruising!!! That's mostly because Dr. Calvert is precise and gentle as possible, but they also give you a bromelain/Arnica supplement to take to help with bruising and swelling. I really wanted to love my results, but I'm sad to say that a few years later, I have serious regrets. My nose was beautiful at first but after about a year I developed growths on the tip that impacted the look and feel. Dr. Calvert was nice enough to do a revision under local anesthesia free of charge, but unfortunately they came back. It sucks having to live with an outcome I wasn't expecting. The growths (called "bossae") are noticeable in person and create ugly shadows in pictures. My other regret is the size of my implants. I asked Dr. Calvert for a proportional look, and he delivered in the sense that my bust and hip measurements are almost identical. Great for an hourglass look -- terrible for clothes shopping. I thought the surgery would give me the freedom to wear whatever I wanted; instead, I have trouble finding clothes that are small enough in the waist but accommodate my bust. Every time a dress doesn't zip up past the waist, it's a clear reminder that the implants are far too big. Huge bummer. read more

I went to Dr. Calvert 9 years ago for a rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. This cost $22,000. I only asked for the tip of my nose to be more refined. He ended up completely changing everything about my nose. He lifted it, shortened it, put fascia in it which changed the curve in my nose. It looked like a pig nose. My breast entire areola was removed which he did not tell me he was going to do that. It left me with an octagon shaped areola and the worst breast job ever. In the last 10 years I had to spend over $30,000 to correct what he botched. Not to mention the psychological and isolation I incurred because of it. If you really want a great Rhinoplasty I recommend Dr. Torkian he is the really the best. Breast augmentation Dr. Garth Fisher! What do you mean you didn't know? That's a lie. Using an alias, Botched! I had my 3rd & 4th Rhinoplasty with Calvert and he did a terrible job. As if my nose wasn't butchered enough the previous 2 times, he significantly made my breathing worse by giving me an 'Empty Nose Syndrome', making my nose much smaller, creating asymmetry for my bridge, side profiles and nostrils. And of course, giving me an upturned tip which looks revolting. This just goes to show that any incompetent clown can do a surgery, but doing it right is hardly existent. This review is long over due, but better late than never! I had, per Dr Calvert, an "incomplete rhinoplasty" about 20 years ago. Afterward, my septum deviated, my nostrils were large, the base was wide, and the tip of my nose was turned up. I was "ok" with it but I knew it would be something I wished I had fixed probably for the rest of my life. When I met Dr Calvert, I was taken aback by his laidback bedside manner and his confidence in his work. He wasn't pushy at all and just made you feel like he knew what he was doing and was great at it. I went to a few other consultations with other surgeons just to do my due diligence but I kept getting drawn back and "wowed" by his instagram before and afters. I went for it in November 2020 and my expectations were exceeded. The change was so natural my family members can't even tell the difference (though they never saw what I saw). I definitely didn't want people to know I had something done so that was important to me. Three months out, I can now breathe better, he fixed the "unfinished" areas and I can still see ME in the mirror. The really nice piece to this is that this is not a big job for a renowned plastic surgeon, but she treated my small case as if it were a full-body makeover and handled it with care. I went to Dr. Calvert for a revision rhinoplasty 3 years after my primary rhinoplasty. I broke my nose as a child and had a severely deviated septum that I had hoped my first surgeon could fix. She completely botched the surgery and left my nose way worse off than it was prior to the surgery. It was much more deviated, partially collapsed and I constantly had pain in my left nostril. When I went in for my first consultation with Dr. Calvert, I was pretty desperate to get it fixed but also very hesitant to have someone operate again, considering the results from the first surgery and the rates of success for revision rhinoplasties. I spent two years looking for qualified revision rhinoplasty surgeons with the mindset that if I was going to go through with the surgery I was only getting a revision rhinoplasty one time so I needed to find an exceptional doctor. After two years of futile searching, I had pretty much convinced myself that I was going to live the rest of my life as a mouth breather with a "C" shaped nose, until I saw Dr. Calvert. He has an immense amount of knowledge and confidence, and as soon as he saw my nose, he knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my breathing and straighten it back out. After a couple more consultations, I had full faith in him to successfully perform a revision rhinoplasty, which is exactly what he did. My expectations going into the surgery were somewhat low, partially so that I would not be disappointed by the results, but primarily because the overwhelming majority of people that go in for a revision rhinoplasty leave with a result that isn't quite what they wanted. I figured since I was going into the surgery with such a screwed up nose, all I could really hope for was slightly improved breathing and a somewhat straighter nose. I would have never hoped for, or even imagined, the results that I saw from Dr. Calvert. Not only is my nose perfectly straight on my face for the first time since 6th grade, but I can fill my entire lung capacity in one breath through my nose, which I've never been able to do. Since my first consultation with Dr. Calvert, he has been extremely patient with me and my excessive amounts of questions and concerns. Seriously, he gave me his number to text or call him with any questions, and post surgery he made sure to see me once or twice every week for the first month and a half. I had a septorhinoplasty with Dr. Calvert in 2016 and 3 years later am still loving it. I had a large dorsal hump with tip overhang and an extremely deviated septum. Dr. Calvert is the best in the business. The only one I'd recommend for rhinoplasty. A long journey to return to the symmetry I had before a rhinoplasty dismantled that when I was younger. I could not find a surgeon with the precision and talent to do a revision that resulted in anything worth doing. In some cases things got progressively worse. We made a little progress on the third round before finding Dr. Calvert who was the only surgeon qualified to do what it needed the whole time which was a rib graft. He listened to my request to not really change what I liked but rather to refine the tip and make it natural and symmetrical. I wanted to look like myself prior to any surgeries. This is the most challenging type of rhinoplasty - a secondary revision. We went for it. The result was worth every penny. I can't say enough about Dr. Calvert. After two nose surgeries that didn't quite fix my four-time broken nose from another well-respected surgeon, I was upset and decided I was going to read every review site possible to find a new surgeon to fix me once and for all. I then met with all the top surgeons, and that's when I met Dr. Calvert. He was the first one who noticed all the issues that had been driving me crazy for years, even the itty bitty details that the other doctors didn't even notice. His apparent extreme perfectionism and the fact that he would rather spend half a day on a complicated surgery(I think mine ended up 6 or 7 hours) than rush through like most surgeons made him my obvious choice. My nose was so complicated, I required a rib graft and now I have a perfectly indestructible nose that I get compliments on all the time. I recently had a primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Calvert. I am currently 6 weeks post op and have come a long way in the healing process and I am just so HAPPY! I had my primary rhinoplasty done by Dr Jay Calvert in Beverly Hills two weeks ago. I can't stress enough how utterly over the moon I am about my results so far and I am only two weeks post op! From the very first consultation I felt totally at ease and really safe in the hands of this extremely talented surgeon. I had researched Dr Calvert for over 6 months- read countless online reviews and checked out his before & after pics. I loved that his results were subtle and natural and that many many patients had written outstanding reviews about him. The fact that his speciality is rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty (as this is meant to be an extremely complex operation) really made me feel that I was in good hands. I didn't bruise all that badly and only had bruises and facial swelling for about a week. Even though my nose is still swollen I'm over the moon about my results and I'm still healing! His entire staff - Orla, Jenny and Simon are just LOVELY, so friendly and professional and the follow up care has been outstanding. I had a breast augmentation with periareolar lift with dr Calvert on august 11th and the entire experience has been amazing!! I had gone to several surgeons prior to Dr. Calvert and all had insisted I needed a full anchor lift to achieve the look I wanted. When I saw Dr. Calvert, he assured me he would be able to give me the breasts I wanted with only a periareolar lift. Even on the day of surgery I was worried I needed more done for a lift and he still assured me he could accomplish the goal. And he sure did deliver!!! I don't know what "Jenny S." is talking about. Calvert is EXCELLENT. I had a deviated septum that was operated on in Philly; the Dr. in Philly removed too much cartilage, making my nose droop down and creating a new batch of breathing problems. I needed to find a Dr. to perform a rhinoplasty. Calvert to the rescue... I had been hesitant about getting a rhinoplasty, but Calvert made me feel very comfortable with the idea. (Not the case with the other surgeons I spoke to prior to him in Los Angeles.) Calvert recommended I undergo a rib graft to make the tip of my nose far stronger and less susceptible to drooping down. WELL, it's 6 months later, and I'm incredibly thrilled with my nose. It still looks like MY nose, not some tiny, cookie-cutter LA standard or whatever. It's MY NOSE, only much straighter, in no way hanging down, and it looks a hell of a lot better from both the front and sides. I'm also an actor (at least an aspiring one) and I feel a thousand times more confident with my appearance now than I did prior to the surgery. The "Jenny S." post to me honestly sounds like B.S. Maybe even the work of a jealous competitor. That's the scary thing about the internet - anyone can post anything.
