    Mango sticky rice
    Esther L.

I sat down and asked the owner what they recommend. I said I'm open to trying anything, and they curated a fun meal filled with many new things I have never tried! The pork jowl was definitely my favorite. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat marinated to perfection. Don't sleep on the braised pig foot, it's very similar to a braised pork belly. The boat noodle is very fragrant and delicious as well. They were very generous with the mango for the mango sticky rice as well. Cool concept based on Thai street foods with fun Thai decorations to match!

I can't really review the restaurant itself since we ordered takeout and I haven't actually dined there yet. Even though the reviews seemed to be mixed, I thought the food was really good. The yellow curry was my favorite. It looked more reddish than yellow, but it was packed with flavor. The garlic pepper chicken, barbecue chicken, egg rolls, and curry were all delicious. I would definitely order from here again. If you're in the South Pasadena area and looking for Thai food, I'd say it's worth giving this place a try. I do plan on visiting the restaurant in person so I can experience the atmosphere, service, and overall dining experience. Once I do, I'll come back and update my review.

Ummm OK, this place. First of all let me start by saying that the pictures from the other Yelp…read morephotos literally look nothing like what this restaurant looks like today. They must've changed owners sometime within the past 12 months. When a restaurant changes owners, they really should have to start over on Yelp in my opinion. Anyway, it now looks sort of like a Vietnamese version of a taqueria if that makes any sense. The server was attentive and friendly. All of the complaints about things being slow probably stem from the fact that they have one guy cooking in the back, one server, and one young helper person who was sitting in the dining room, having a break with his rubber gloves on when we were there. In terms of ambience, they have those colorful metal chairs, some cheap Daiso stools for you to sit on and wait for your order, a metallic sort of check-in podium, plastic sheeting covering Sinha ads and other things like that on the tables, and various advertisements and menus in Vietnamese as wall decor. We ordered cream cheese wonton, tom yung goong soup, and a noodle soup. I thought it was all totally mid to bad. There was honestly too much cream cheese in the wontons and they were either double fried or over fried. I had to pick half of the mushrooms out of my soup as they looked rotted and kind of moldy, very un appetizing and not fresh. Also, the server talked me out of the larger soup, even though it was my entrée and the small soup was not enough for an entrée. It was just as well because it was not good. It was also sort of sweet and didn't taste like much of anything. I also suspect there was MSG in the food as I got a headache after we left. My daughter thought it was fine. I think there are too many other choices to bother with this place.

Creamy, fresh tomatoes, plump shrimp, and plenty of mushrooms. Would order again. Larb (pork or beef) - the online system didn't actually let us choose which meat, but either option is fine and seems like we got pork. Ordered Thai spicy and it had a kick without being overpowering. Nice citrus flavor served with crispy cabbage, and nice portion size. Would order again. Kao Mun Kai (Hainan Chicken version) - chicken was good and another good portion. The rice was also not fine - fluffy and a slight chicken stock flavor. The clear broth was soothing but flavorless, and the cucumber pieces were crisp but a little too thick for me. There is only once sauce served with this dish, which is on the tangy side. It was nice to try, but I would personally try something else next time. A solid spot for Thai in Pasadena!

We also ordered the papaya salad with shrimp and the chicken Tom Yum soup. Everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on, and every dish tasted fresh and well prepared. The papaya salad was perfectly balanced--not too sweet and not too sour. The Tom Yum soup was incredible. My husband usually doesn't eat soup, but he loved it and kept commenting on how flavorful it was. The fried rice was also excellent, and the lunch special was a great value for the price. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We will definitely be coming back. I can't wait to try more dishes from the menu. Highly recommend!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!…read more I was honestly so impressed. To be fair, I haven't been to many Thai restaurants that I didn't enjoy, but this place really stood out. The quality of the meat was excellent, and every dish was packed with flavor. The service was calm, friendly, and attentive. I was actually surprised by how quiet it was because the food deserves a much bigger crowd. What really blew me away was the portion size for the price. The servings were huge and such a great value. We had enough food to easily feed 5-6 people, and the bill was still incredibly reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back!

I stopped by here around 7PM on a Sunday and thankfully was able to find street parking quickly (bonus--parking was free on Sundays). The menu is pretty simple but has all of the Thai standards like noodles, curry, and rice dishes. I opted for the Pad Thai, which was delicious. It came with chicken as well as two pieces of shrimp, and the portion was very generous. The food also came out in around 10 minutes, which I was very grateful for as I was pretty hungry when I ordered. The cafe is fairly casual and there were several people picking up takeout orders. Most dishes were under $20 which I think is very fair in this day and age. Definitely looking to return and trying some of their other dishes (fried rice looked good, maybe I'll try that next).

It's not a huge restaurant, but they have a decent number of tables inside and out. When we were there, they had three workers -- one waitstaff and two in the kitchen. Generally, the food came out pretty quickly, which was impressive given that the one person handled all of the tables. The things we got that were pretty good were: pad see ew, pork fried rice, pork hock rice, and kee mao noodles (probably our favorite of everything). The things we got that were okay, but not great, were: beef pepper rice and crispy pork appetizer. Service was friendly. They do have a small lot but I can imagine parking being a challenge if they're busy. Interestingly, they 'borrow' the next door coffee shop's bathrooms. Is it the best Thai restaurant in the area? Probably not. But it's still pretty good and worth trying.
