Delicious kratom teas and kava drinks. The manager Chelsea is an absolute doll. I don't come up this way often, but this spot is great. I like the energy. There's an outdoor space for events. read more

Java Kava Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Largo, Florida

I wish I'd taken way more pics of this place. Chelsea was my kratom tender & she was lovely. The ambiance inside was so chill. At first it was just me but then more & more people showed up. I was asked to stay for open mic which was like four hours out & politely declined, as I was very much in a hurry to get back to my empty house with no one waiting for me, but ended up doing just that. The tender that made my kratom drink before Chelsea left made a chocolate peanut butter shake for me with kava instead of kratom since another fave kava bar has something very similar on the menu & it was delicious. She told me they have their kava flown in from their supplier & it's very fresh. read more

I only tried the Cuban sandwich because someone told me it's the best in Pinellas county and I agree it really is. I believe at least the pork is smoked on site there and yes they get their Cuban bread from La Segunda bakery read more

This was such a treasure to stumble upon a couple of weekends ago. The Beau and I had just had a lovely date night down in St. Pete and were looking to extend it a bit longer. The first night spot we had wanted to go to, looked WAY too busy so we had decided to just go home when I spied this on the road side. We did a u-Turn and stopped in. Inside was chill and relaxed, a totally nice atmosphere. The Kavatenders were cool. This was my first experience, so we let out tender lead the way. I was also able to purchase some of my favorite Delta-8 CBD Chewables there! I was so happy. Once we had our drinks, we went out and listened to some Awesome Karaoke, while we played a couple of games of pool, and several times the others there invited us to share in the snacks that were provided. We were encouraged to join in, which was really awesome. The vibe there was one of inclusion. I left a few of my kindness rocks behind, I hope others found them and they made them smile. read more

Everyone I've encountered at this establishment treats everyone with such kindness. Excellent drinks and recommendation from staff if you aren't sure what to get. I highly recommend the peanut butter shake. If you're looking to relax, try their kava kava for a peaceable zen experience. They have have items to purchase to go and for travel, should you need them for the drive home. I stop here as one of my first and last stops every trip to here for the past few years. If I lived here, I'm afraid I'd be a regular. Open mic nights, trivia nights and other fun things. Great loyalty program to earn free drinks. Check it out! read more

I wouldn't say Cuban Sandwiches are typically my go to thing - but reading the reviews, I had to! No disappointment - the entire sandwich was delicious from the bread to meats. Java Kava Cafe - Cuban Sandwich - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Largo, Florida

Would you be surprised if I told you the best Cuban in town comes from .... here?! This is the best under-the-radar botanicals cafe. HANDS DOWN. No other owner/management team cares so much about the details that make people smile when they walk in. From the handmade resin coated exposed bark table and bar top, to the wide open patio (they doubled the patio area size in the last few months!!) that sets an incredible scene for Open Mic on Saturday's and other live events. But besides the clean, spacious, thoughtful design of the space- they have outstanding kavas, addictive fruit smoothies, and a small but mighty food menu that keeps me coming back for more. They use a very special local Cuban bread for their sandwiches, and they prepare the ingredients in their sandwiches from scratch, PLUS they only ever make your sandwich to order, right then and there. You will have to wait 5-10 minutes, but you can trust every minute of mouthwatering patience is leading you to the greatest damn bites you'll ever have on this side of town. Last but not least- you will find the friendliest service and the most welcoming crowd at this joint. Other cafes have a tendency to "clique" but I find Java Kava to be a place of solace and truly community-minded. I've been coming here for at least a year now, and the experience never waivers. I'm positive Java Kava will be a favorite local haunt of yours too soon enough :) read more

The literal best sandwich *and* best Cuban in town. I'm not even remotely exaggerating, they smoke the pork on property for 7 hours, they get their bread from Tampa's oldest and best bakery La Segunda, you can taste and smell the difference. Everything else they do is awesome too but the Cuban in particular needs to be mentioned. Absolutely blows the Floridian out of the water, and yes I will unironically and quite literally die on that hill. read more

Love it love it love it Great food great service best Kratom!!! Chelsea is the best, She's always ready to listen and make sure you're enjoying yourself and she is so sweet(did I forget to mention she makes the best chicken Caesar wraps). I've been to many kava bars but Java gives you a different kind of experience always positive vibes no complaining, no arguing nothing they're always just great. Great great. read more

Java Kava Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Largo, Florida

Just had a really great kratom here! A little pricey but it's a really cute space to just hang out or study and the Kratom (especially considering all the configurations you can get it in and all the flavors) is worth it! Will have to come back! Also, the woman working there was super kind and helpful! read more

This place is very low key chill vibe. At first glance you wouldn't expect it being in that location. The surrounding area location looks very industrial. Other then that the interior had a fun, urban organic feel. The staff was super friendly and the coffee was great. If you ever in the area I recommend stopping in for cup of coffee. read more

Very friendly good food just wish they had a few more things to eat maybe eggs to order would be nice

Java Kava Cafe - Excellent Cuban sandwich - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Largo, Florida

Conveniently located down the street from my place. They have a pretty good Cuban sandwich and a friendly staff.

I'm new to the Kratom world and have tried Kratom at a few different places. Java Kava is right around the corner from me and on my way to work. That's a plus on my part but either way I still love this spot the most. Supporting local small businesses is my first priority when trying out new places. This cafe is just adorable! Very comfortable setting with a relaxing vibe. Everyone I have came into contact with here has been extremely friendly. I have met the owners a few times and they have always been so appreciative. Chelsea is the main lady I see when I stop in. Such a sweetie! My go to is an Arnold Palmer with white Kratom. Always tastes great and does its job. I now bring one to a co worked on Tuesdays since it is $9 doubles day. It helps the both of us have a fun relaxing night at our fast paced job. Try them out! They also have small events every week like fire spinning read more

Amazing cafe with coffee, kratom, kava, CBD products and food. I had an awesome Arnold Palmer kratom tea and a Cuban. They smoke their own pork here, wow! Super friendly staff and they taught me all about Delta-8 THC. 100% legal no card needed, yes please. Definitely visit this hidden in plain sight gem! read more

Java Kava Cafe - Arnold Palmer Kratom... Mmmmm - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Largo, Florida

This place is a hidden gem in Largo area! Located just off route 19, they offer more then the kava and kratom teas that people think. With fresh pressed Cuban sandwiches ( add a grilled cheese option soon?) , coffee and smoothies, they offer something for everyone. I personally like their homemade CBD brownies! They used to bake the CBD into the brownie ( I thought this made them stronger) but now they add the CBD drops when you order. I guess this makes it good for checking the dose. There are some games inside like darts plus a few "Instagram" worthy photo spots like the giant chair outside, the green grass wall inside and the massive tropical mural. I would give this place a try next time you drive through Clearwater or Largo. read more

The lemonade was wonderful as was the Cuban sandwich. Although I took my sandwich to go the cafe was very quaint and everyone was friendly and courteous. Not into the CBD so no advice there! read more

The place was very clean , atmosphere is very pleasant. Food is fantastic, they are now my go to for kava and lunch . This is not your typical kava place , I don't normally do reviews , this place is worth it . read more

Drove past this place not really knowing they sold food too. It's one of those CBD bars, but they have a few things you can get to eat. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was better than most places around. Neat and clean kitchen with a nice drink selection. I will be back to run through the rest of the menu. Well done. read more

great food and teas and the best latte ever and chelsea is the best server so relaxing and love the people vibe

The owner was extremely rude and lost my business. Place looked dirty and the Kava tasted awful. I would go to Dharma Kava lounge right down the street. read more

Pressed Cuban sandwich with in-house roast pork. They also have chicken Cesar wraps. You will love it. Guaranteed.

I love their Tea and their employees! However, I did meet the owner (woman) recently and she was very rude and especially condescending! I was going to get more than just a tea at the time but after the attitude I received, I didn't want to give her much more of my money! It's not that close to me or I would have gotten nothing! Next time I see the owner there, I'm leaving! That is, if I do decide to go back at all! Not the kind of person you would expect to be a kava bar owner! 5 stars if she sells the place to a nice person! read more

Wife and I were tourists to St. Pete area, staying north of the city. Bought a couple Groupons in advance, including one for this spot. Ordered 3 sandwiches (2 special Chicken Pestos and 1 Cuban), but due to some miscommunication, only walked out with the chicken pestos. Upon making it back to the hotel, called them up and owner was so apologetic and offered to drive missing Cuban to our hotel (~10 minutes away)! That seemed unnecessary, so we declined, and just made plans to get that last sandwich another night. A couple minutes later, the owner called to tell us that when we showed up for that missing Cuban, he'd comp us another one just for the trouble. Really a stand-up guy. Chicken Pestos & Cubans were perfect; multiple chip options were appreciated. While we got our sandwiches to go, owner was friendly and helpful re: neighborhoods in and around St. Pete, while staff at the bar was welcoming. To be honest, kinda glad I got to see the place twice! read more

Ive been in the kava scene for the past 8 years, i can honestly say this is one of the best hava bars around. The tea and kava both taste amazing and are extremely potent. I highly recommend. And to top it all of there food is delicious read more

This spot is SUCH A GEM. The coffee is delicious. We got the cafe con leche and it is legitimately one of the best cafe con leches I've had out. We also had a CBD brownie and it was DELICIOUS.
