The Java Joint is an amazing spot for breakfast and dog friendly My Aunt Carolyn, visiting from Connecticut, said it's her favorite place!

Went here for the first time today. Group of five meant we had to wait a bit for a table. But we had a great table outside. But with the heat we asked if we could move inside and it was quick and efficient. The food was outstanding! Out party all got different things and no one was disappointed. Can't wait to come back. Also love that they have merch for sale.

I wish I could rate this higher than a 5. There was nothing that I would want changed. The food was ALL amazing! The eggs were perfectly cooked, EVERY staff member was kind and friendly, and they accommodated our large group of 20 with the utmost excellence! We even loved the atmosphere of the place! Very much "beach shack" that you would want to hang out at. We will be stopping by every time we drive down to Florida!

Small place but great service and delicious food right across from the beach

Service slow, food cold. Very disappointing! Should have continued to where we were heading and left this joint in our rear view mirror!

Food is average but the view and service are excellent. Prices have remained reasonable. Maybe raise them a little and up the quality.

Not many people out n about so I couldn't really get a vibe for what the place would be like when it gets busy. But it was a great spot for breakfast and we sat on the rooftop area inside so it was covered from the rain, but I can't wait to go back someday for the outside ocean front deck, even closer to the water. I ordered the Irish Benedicte with hash that is homemade on premise with slow roasted corned beef. Very tasty. The side of Home fries were thinly sliced and I had gravy added to that so it was tasty too. Our server was excellent, Trevor was a very nice guy and he recommended we come back for the all you can eat ribs. I wish I was staying in town longer and I would. I'll make a point to come back next visit.

It was raining but we had a great dry spot upstairs under their cover with a view of the ocean. Our server, Johnny V, came up timely and took our drink order and upon serving them took our breakfast choices. I liked that he repeated our orders and in a friendly and professional manner. I ordered the homemade corn beef with eggs, croissant and grits and Mark ordered the two egg breakfast with homemade fries, bacon (loads served!) and toast. My corn beef was the best I've ever had at any restaurant and the croissant was cooked by slicing in half lengthwise and toasting on the grill. What a clever idea and it was absolutely delicious. Johnny V made sure we were fine with our meals and might want additional drinks. Great server. We love this place and always bring all of our out of town guests here for a meal.

Second visit to Next Door Beach Bistro and once again -- phenomenal…read more Last night I ordered the Beef Bourguignon with cream potatoes, and it was everything this classic French dish should be. The beef was incredibly tender, slow-braised in a rich red wine reduction with pearl onions and mushrooms. The cream potatoes underneath were smooth, buttery, and perfect for soaking up that sauce. Every bite was delicious. We started with the Filet Carpaccio, thinly sliced and topped with shaved parmesan, capers, arugula, and crostini. Fresh, light, and beautifully plated. The bar program deserves its own mention. You can order a vodka soda anywhere, but here they elevate every drink with presentation and detail. Instead of a simple lime wedge, I watched drinks come out with full lime rounds resting on the rim. My Chocolate Martini dessert drink was practically artwork -- topped with a dehydrated orange slice, chocolate shavings, orange zest, and crossed chocolate-dipped sticks. It looked incredible and tasted even better. Atmosphere is another win here. Guests ranged from cocktail dresses to casual beachside attire and somehow it all fit perfectly. That balance is hard to achieve, but they've nailed it. We sat on the patio (about 67°) and they had the panels down, which kept it comfortable while still letting you enjoy the beachside atmosphere. Even the hallway to the restrooms was lined with art -- thoughtful details everywhere. Some restaurants look great but don't deliver on flavor. Others taste great but lack atmosphere. This place does both exceptionally well. Dinner for two with drinks came to $131 before tip, which felt very fair for the quality of food, cocktails, and overall experience. Looking forward to visit number three.

The drink menu has so many good options. We tried the espresso martini, lavender martini and an extra dirty martini. All were delicious! The ambiance was really nice. They played a great mix of top 40. Lights were kept low and the seating was comfortable. Tables were close but not on top of each other. I took advantage of their prix fixe weekday special. It was such a great deal! Available Sunday through Thursday 3 to close. I had the lobster bisque that comes with a delicious sliced baguette and the sherry on the side, the salmon frites for the entree which was amazing and the chocolate mousse for dessert. All of this was $39! The quality and care that goes into their dishes is evident. I can't wait to go back and try their seafood pot pie! Service was great! Our server had a great personality and helped us with recommendations. It was great experience!

I requested no nacho chips in mine, no sprinkled cheese and no salt. They said they use no oil in the soup which is great They don't use a microwave at all I didn't realize the soul would be in a sturdy plastic bowl and it was super hot. I typically don't mix plastic with really hot things but that was all they had. I would get it again and get it to go cold in a plastic take out container. Or bring you own bowl! I also had the veggie egg wrap. It was good but definitely say light on the cheese if you are conscious. Everything looked amazing and I will. Make it a regular spot to go to. It's over looks the beach in Flagler. They were super accommodating and I'm very fussy. I went back for dinner. Chicken soup without the nachos or cheese. Their other soup is supposed to be great too! Guavo turnover was fresh and delish. As was the flan, a touch of delicious alcohol taste. Very good. You can't go wrong with any of their food. I opted for the Papa Relleno (potato balls) with a side of rice and beans, while my wife chose scrambled eggs and Cuban bread. The food arrived quickly, and I dove in first - WOW! As a local, where my husband and I struggle, the service is very hit or miss. On nights where there are only a few tables occupied in the restaurant, and we sit in the bar area booths, we can go ten minutes without a hello. Sometimes we have to go ask who is helping us. Other times, the bartender and staff are great. As a local, we enjoy supporting our local fare. Hopefully in the future they can improve on the service side to match the quality of their meals.

I ordered the grilled chicken and asparagus, which showcased the kitchen's skill. The grilled chicken was a mix of perfection and slight disappointment; one breast was cooked flawlessly, while the thinner piece was a bit dry, ultimately leading me to leave some behind. On the positive side, the asparagus was impeccable--tender yet crisp, a true highlight of the dish. To elevate my meal, I opted for the butter garlic sauce, which was nothing short of exceptional. Its rich flavor was a delightful addition, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, I found the extra charge of $3.00 for a portion that barely covered one chicken breast and two asparagus spears a bit disappointing. The sauce was so delectable that I ended up purchasing an additional container to take home for the asparagus I had left. **Beverages and Ambiance** The Beachy Sangria was another standout, offering a refreshing complement to my meal. It was perfectly balanced and added a delightful touch to our dining experience. The ambiance at Barnhill's is equally noteworthy. Dining outdoors provided us with stunning views of the waves breaking on the shore, making the meal feel even more special. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, enhancing our overall enjoyment. As for the service, it was good and our waitress was friendly. While there were a couple of minor issues, particularly with the chicken and the portion size of the sauce, the overall experience was delightful enough to warrant a return visit. The combination of scrumptious food, refreshing drinks, and a breathtaking view leads me to rate Barnhill's a solid 4 stars. I genuinely look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.

I didn't come here to take advantage of once a year savings I'm here to replenish the liquor cabinet in the RV. This is my first visit to this impressive collection of alcohol. The store was empty and after speaking to the attendant she was looking for a little break, it seems the actually Holiday was a long ten hour day with non stop traffic, it also appears that there is no "supply chain" issues here I guess most of the most popular spirits are still distilled domestically. My shopping list wasn't that extensive since I rarely delete my inventory before replenishing it, whether it's alcohol or gasoline my needle rarely approaches "E". Practically everything I was looking for was discounted, with a few more days at the campground my focus was on vodka and mixes, I mean honestly a spicy Bloody Mary at sunrise oceanside is life changing. Others have stated the inventory here is unique I have to agree there are options here I didn't realize existed or should I say there are solutions here. I think an alcoholic would drink mouthwash to get their fix, for me it's more about crafting that special cocktail, I mean if you're gonna drink it should be more about a celebration instead of a mask for something dark and troublesome, so if you are going to drink drink responsibly and if you're going to be responsible do it in a grand way. This store has so much to offer and it's staffed with friendly folks whom I'm sure can answer most of your questions. I try and justify most of my decisions based on cause and effect when applicable - I rather own a bottle of the good stuff verses a case of the cheap ones, a master distiller is an artist so remember quality and quantity rarely comes in the same package...
