They support the community, putting their resources back into those in need. The coffee was fresh, fun seasonal flavors, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Immediately upon entering Harriet and Colin greeted us with big smiles. They answered our questions and took the time to talk with us while making our coffees. They were so darn friendly it was refreshing. The location is cute with a fun brick exterior and open concept interior with seats and space to connect or work.

They have an outdoor patio in the back which has lighting for the evening. There are two entrances one is on 16th and one is in the parking lot. Upon entering the facility, there was a smell of water residue, which kind of turned me off at first I won't lie. Walking in you can see they have a huge grinder with sacks of coffee beans, there essentially grinding their own coffee beans to then roast and create drinks. I found that to be a huge plus. You don't see that often. There are hallways with seating as well as a communal space that is shared with a new juice beverage bar, which opened up next door. I think the coffee Roastery may actually be new as well. Other than the scent inside, I felt like it was big spacious and clean. Seems to be a little hidden gem in an area with an expected to be! There are bathrooms within the hallways, not near the eating areas which is always a plus. They're also seems to be a meeting room that they're building which would be really cool if you are a work from home person and looking for a quiet place to have a conference call or maybe get the team out of the office to cook grab a cup of coffee and a snack. It has a slide or tour for privacy. Other than that, the staff wasn't really friendly unfortunately. They were talking amongst themselves. Generally quiet little music playing overhead. People that were customers were nice but they seem to mostly be working independently. So it wasn't too loud maybe a nice place to plug-in to email, etc. during the workday. I ordered an iced vanilla latte. Coffee taste good. Overall, I didn't eat any of the food, but it was general bakery items like bagels and muffins. I'm not sure who they were provisioned with. I'll try it again in the future just to see if the experience is a little better but like I said, I think between the staff not really communicating or socializing with consumer and the scent that was throughout the facility. I think those were the two things that kind of turned me off a little bit. I'll be back though and give it a second try.

Blue Cup is located in the Cargo district of Wilmington…read more Their coffee is strong (thinking Starbucks aficionados would do well to come here). And it is an improvement over the aforementioned. Meaning if you like dark coffee...this is your place. They understand what a flat white is most of the time and for me, who prefers lighter fruity roasts...their hit you in the nutz strength is well tempered with ordering a latte or FW if you follow me. While strong, it is beautifully roasted and does not leave you with a burnt taste. But you will not get those third wave hoity toity "notes" them nerds dream about. The staff...oh the staff...I do NOT know how they maintain such an upbeat and encouraging disposition encased in a tiny metal box all day, but when I have felt very low and needed some community love...I have always been lifted up by their vibe even before I get my cup of brew. Also they like dogs. Only missing one star because the new baked goods are too sweet and there are no cookies.

He had me try it too, and I was amazed! I usually prefer a light coffee that's not too strong or burnt-tasting (unlike a certain popular chain...), and this one was perfect. We enjoyed it together on the top deck patio of our boat--such a cozy and memorable experience. While thinking of Father's Day gift ideas, I decided to get him a bag of the same coffee we enjoyed on the boat--along with a T-shirt. We don't live too far from Wilmington, so we're definitely planning to check out the storefront next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

Yet, the ambience inside has a cozy and inviting home presence with a comfortable leather couch, festive home decor & furniture, and friendly staff. Jesalyn, our server, was very amicable, calm, professional, and recommended the Winter Wonderland seasonal coffee with chocolate & hazelnut flavors. We both ordered it and spent about two hours there. Service was efficient yet peaceful even when there was a flow of traffic after we were served. Time flew fast there and yet the environment always maintained a sense of serenity despite the flow of people coming in the coffeehouse. There are different vendors with many items to select for purchase from art to accessories. The colorful bags with the smiley faces promoting mental health awareness caught my eye at one of the vendor areas there. I love that the coffeehouse is veteran owned, decorated for Christmas, and has an eclectic mix of handmade items and local art pieces. This is definitely a local business & coffeehouse to visit again in the future.

From leather sofas, cute table sets, meeting rooms, and Christmas decor, you get a real sense of peace and comfort. The seasonal coffee with chocolate undertones was a delight and was what I needed from such a long drive. We spent over two hours here taking photos and seeing family. The staff here are welcoming and so generous. The business supports Veterans and offers military discounts! Can't wait to meet Eric, the owner someday to thank him for his service and as a fire fighter. True American hero. Jesalyn, served us our coffee and assisted with all sorts of keto friendly options such as sugar free flavored syrups. Delicious! I suggested to have old Christmas favorites playing on the television such as Miracle on 34th Street or It's a Wonderful Life, the. I would have asked for a job and never left. The business supports local venders and community by selling a variety of favorites such as cute smiley face hand bags, jam, mugs, art work, photos, cards, and other gifts.
