Most Texans just don't realize how much a sandwich can be elevated. It's like barbecue - 20 years ago, barbecue was just a way to get rid of the tough bits of the cow; but now... Well, on the east coast, they've done that with the sandwich. Still waiting for it to happen here. Anyway, I had the chopped Italian. The bread was great. However, I think I would prefer the Italian to be made the old fashioned way - with the ingredients layered on. This sandwich had the meat and veg chopped up and dressed like a salad and shoved into the bread. It was OK, but the filling kept wanting to fall out and there was way too much dressing in the salad. But overall, it was still better (mainly because of the bread) than most sandwiches you get around here. Probably going to try the Heavenly Ham next time.

On another occasion, the girl at the counter chewed me out for bringing in my (visibly almost-empty) Starbucks coffee. "Sir, we don't allow outside food and drinks". I have always ever bought multiple drinks for myself and my family, and they know that. Very jerky people. No wonder it's always a ghost town when all the other restaurants are slammed.
