What a great experience! One of the best burgers I've had in awhile, friendly atmosphere, had the Doc Holiday with Bacon, and a Banana Caramel shake which was to die for! Plenty of great options so now i will have to return and try something else, Elk, Bison or maybe the Boar burger, if you find yourself in Bluff Dale this is a must stop, make sure you bring a empty stomach because you'll need it, oh and don't forget the sidewinder fries which were delicious, thank you for a wonderful dining experience. read more

Stopped in for an early lunch on a Tuesday. Not crowded. Service great. Good fantastic. Basic BLT with addition of: grilled hatch chili ( mild), grilled onion, grilled mushroom and mashed avocado. Love this place!!!! Absolute best service!!! They were fairly busy with one waitress and she never got flustered and treated everyone great! Had an amazing attitude and was full of joy. This place used to be the bomb. It wasn't called Jasper's it was called Jasper and the owner would walk up and strike a conversation while you were waiting for your food. Now it's ran like an Applebee's. I can't blame the 17-year-old help it's just ran like any other place now. We lost an original. Overpriced underserved the menu has severely changed from all the good stuff it used to have. Sad that we lost this place. It will survive a long time on past reviews. read more

We're pretty new to the area, but had been by Jaspers a few times & wanted to try it. We had a classic burger & fries which was beyond good plus that delicious country fried steak like no other. We just cannot say enough about Jaspers! This place is clean, the waitress is so efficient, nice & fun & the gentleman in the kitchen (aka Mr. Wonderful to us) knows how to make a customer smile for days. People, stand up, clap, and yell "yahoo"! It's 5 star review time! A friend asked why I don't give 5 star reviews. I do, but not very often. We all have different tastes, so 5 stars can mean different things to people. I go to lots of great places, thanks to Yelp. But very few incredible places. Jasper's impressed me in every way. It's on the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere. Why did someone build a restaurant out here? The owners are from Oregon, and on a trip to Texas decided to buy this place. We stepped inside and every employee was friendly and spoke to us. We did wait about 20 minutes, cause it only seats about 60. Patio has a great view, but was full. Jasper's mainly has burgers and sandwiches, but also some salads, and steak on the weekends. The draw is the variety of meats served. See picture. Glenda did the Garlic Bleu Elk burger. For me, the Axis Deer Johnny Ringo. I can't even begin to explain how good these burgers were. The fries and onion rings were just as good. These people have figured it out. We took a Wagon Wheel to go back to the hotel. A fried cheese ring covered in bacon, chives and flavored sour cream. Yummy! Folks, there are 19 different burgers, and it's going to take a while for me to try them all! If your ever in central Texas, you need to stop here. They were on the Texas Bucket List tv show. Was greeted by very nice man who sat us. Talked for a few minutes and then Ashley came by and took our order. Food came and was awesome, service was awesome and at the end got 50% off because I rolled a 7 with in a dice game. Try the Jiffy, it's good. Been to this place a couple of times. First time we had the specialty burgers and those were pretty good. A little too thick for our liking but the flavor is there. This time we had the salisbury steak plate and the pork chop plate. Plenty of food/large servings. Staff was friendly and attentive on both visits. Would recommend and visit again. read more

Great burger place in an old steakhouse. Western ambiance with a diner flavor. Imaginative burgers! Meat anything from beef to bison to elk to venison and more. Great mixture of sauces and toppings. My Doc Holliday was superb. Only 5 stars because the fries while imaginatively cut weren't very special. Soggy and unseasoned. (ok, I'm stingy, wish I could give 6!). Onion rings were a lot better. On the other hand the welcoming attitude was outstanding. You know when folks are lined up and the owner is doing everything from welcoming you to bussing tables, THEY CARE. I will absolutely return!! Well - I returned. Either I had a bad batch of fries before, or they fixed it, because this time the fries were superb. Hot, crisp, perfectly seasoned. We are visiting Bluff Dale and enjoyed Jaspers but a few details surprised us -- no masks or COVID precautions at all, and there was a $4 upcharge for subbing a bean patty for hamburger meat. Had this been mentioned when ordering, it would have been our mistake but the veggie patty isn't listed on the menu. Not the end of the world but left a bad taste in my mouth. The three and a half stars is for a generally pleasant atmosphere and a tasty meal. It is clearly popular with locals. read more

Two burgers were big enough to split for the three of us, although if I ordered one for myself I would have eaten it! Sooo good! We have eaten here a couple of times and have always enjoyed their burgers. This time it was decided that we would try different menu items. Salads came out fresh and colorful. My daughter wanted the wagu chicken fried steak. They could not serve it since their griddle was out of order. Ordered the ribeye medium. It came out very well done. Our steak "medallions" were bite sized pieces and over cooked. We asked for loaded baked potatoes and only got cheese. So, the burgers are really good and I will return for them. read more

Jaspers popped up in my Facebook feed this week, why I'm not sure but I thought why not! It's about an 1:15 minute drive for us through the rolling hills of Bosque and Erath counties. Gotta say, the place isn't much in terms of ambiance but it is probably one of the best burgers you will ever eat! The service is attentive without being intrusive, and they are always welcoming and helpful with menu suggestions. The bread pudding with whiskey sauce and ice cream was an unexpected delight! Bluff Dale's best, well Bluff Dale's restaurant selection is very limited but never the less Jaspers is a great place to eat. Nice selection of burgers and sandwiches. We started with the "Wagon wheel"appetizer, which is like a pizza without the crust, topping on grilled mound of cheese, excellent and unusual. We had the Johnny Ringo and the Crazy Horse, then split them so we could both sample each burger. Both were great they were juicy, hot, and possibly the best burger in the Granbury area. We shared a small order of Onion Rings what appeared to be homemade and they were more than enough to fill out the meal. The place was clean and kept with a friendly waitress and the owner checking in with us to make sure everything to up to par. We can't wait to comeback again to try more of the great food. read more

Tried it for the first time today. The food was excellent! We began with an appetizer of tumbleweeds, they were crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. I had the Smokey and the Bandit burger. It was wonderful Gouda cheese with bacon. The sweet potato fries were perfect. My companions had the Wild Blue Burger and the Buffalo Bill Burger. We all agreed it was worth the two hour road trip, we will definitely return. read more
