Was really unimpressed. This was the only place that I could get a meal with my family in the Edmonton Airport while waiting for my flight. The server didn't even notice us for almost 10 minutes which was not a good start. The decor was ok, very typical Canadian airport furnishings i.e. lots of wood and pictures of wild animals. The main thing that really hit a nerve for me here was that the service was awful, the food was below average, and yet I was paying higher than Perth prices for the Privilege?? Booo! $17 for a burger drowned in mayo and served with cold chips is not my idea of pleasant. The patty was actually pretty good so that is why this is a 2 and not a 1 star review. Oh and if you want cheese, onions, or mushrooms on that $17 burger it will cost you $2....an item! To be honest this airport is quite enough that extra time to check in isn't needed, so do yourself a favour and stop at a real restaurant before you get to the airport. read more

Yes, an airport bar. Hockey game on. Groups of friends saying hellos and goodbyes. Slightly bustling servers and a menu that caused me a laugh... I almost took a picture... almost. Devoting an entire page to how "healthy" the menu is, it described fresh ingredients like romaine lettuce in detail. The menu, however, was really your standard pub fare: I believe sammies, burgers and some salads. As is my usual choice when faced with not-much-choice I selected their "famous" chicken fingers and to my own shock, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure it's not haute cuisine, but in a pinch it will do. First, I was given a choice between fries or a ceasar salad (lettuce was a little old, but the Parmesan cheese was fresh and it wasn't overly loaded with dressing). Second, a choice between a honey bbq, plum and buffalo dip (go with plum). Third, the chicken fingers were GOOD! The chicken was moist. The breading was dry without a hint of oil. I'm pretty certain these lil breasts never saw the deep end of the deep fryer! And for that they get my nod. But I think what really made me appreciate Jasper was the service. The servers were so helpful! I was taken aback when they helped the lady next to me with her bags. There's a "no baggage cart" rule for diners, and so, when said customer was ready to leave, the server went outside and brought in her cart. Not much choice at the airport for food when you are waiting for delayed arrivals. I would suggest packing your own lunch before choosing this place. When I went in it was a seat yourself so I chose the least dirty table. When the waitress decided to saunter over she didn't even wipe the table down. The menu is limited and nothing really stands out. I ate the chicken sandwich that had no flavour at all. The fries were cold, mushy, and all stuck together in a mega-fry. I tried to get the attention of the waitress so I could get some cutlery and ketchup with much difficulty. I was not offered a refill on my drink, probably because the staff had some really important conversations to catch up on. When I tried to get change to pay I was still ignored. I guess they don't worry about repeat customers as it is at the airport, but I will not give them a second chance. read more

This place has changed a lot since the renovations and not for the better. It used to be a large L-shaped restaurant and you see into the departures area. The menu was also more extensive and had plenty of options for all types of diets. Now, the restaurant is split into two, one half in the security area and the other half in the check in area and the menus look like a poor Photoshop job by a new graduate. For you veggies out there (especially the no dairy, no eggs type), this is not the Mecca of goodness you may be hoping for. In fact, it's pretty bereft of anything substantial for our refined palates. Around the table we had bacon and eggs, an omelette, some toast for my non-breakfasty brother and fruit salad and home fries for me. An odd combo (I should've gone for toast) but I love potatoes and couldn't resist. The portions were large as are most portions in this part of the world and the eggs were fluffy and came with home fries and toast. Oooo. The homefries weren't great - a bit floppy and overly peppered but the rest was surprisingly tasty and fresh. The non-stop coffee came in handy and the lovely waitress let me stay until I could check in my bags. Thank goodness for great customer service and coffee refills. I'd probably eat elsewhere before I headed to the airport, but if you have time to kill before you can check in, it's not too bad. Especially if it's a truckload of coffee you're after. read more

Expensive food and drinks, and a limited menu. Service was okay. I stopped in here with a friend to get something to drink before his flight. It's a place to get a drink and a meal when you're at the airport - pretty much as simple as that. read more

Tried to have a meal with my daughter and her family and the girl working the bar couldn't be bothered!

I'm going to be as unbiased as possible since I'm a Calgary Flames fan and there was an evil Oiler's fan nearby when I was in this place. Decided to get a bite before we boarded our plane, and Jasper was nearby. The waitress was fairly quick circulating her tables (she was the only server on shift) and arrived to take our drink orders and bring menus. I ordered the chipotle chicken quesadilla and my workmate ordered the chicken fingers and chips. My quesadilla was really good apart from the chicken not being freshly made (I have a Gordon Ramsey sense for whether food is fresh or ordered in pre-cooked/frozen) The guacamole was really good and tasted fresh. The salsa was good and only evil people would have a problem with almighty sour cream. My workmate enjoyed his chicken fingers and much to my surprise, the chips with his meal were actual English style chips. They were made perfectly, crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. I kept sneaking chips off of his plate every time he looked away. I'm the Robin Hood of food when I put any effort into it. Overall, it was a small, but comfortable place. The server was great, the food was tasty and other than having to hold myself back from flinging lime wedges at the evil Oiler fanboy's eyes, I had a fairly comfortable meal. read more

Worst experience ever....twice in a row. July 4th - awful service, grumpy staff and mediocre food. July 20th - really grumpy staff. 5 min late for the breakfast cutoff and they couldn't even make toast. No other choices before security. I was heading to Kelowna and hubby back to the patch so it was out only option. I'd starve to death before going there again. It was over staffed so it's not like the grumpy waitress was run off her feet. Just had a crappy attitude. read more

The food was abysmal to say the very least. We had to eat there because we had no other option besides fast food. The staff was even worse, if that is possible. One server actually took her filthy flip flops out of her bag underneath a counter, picked them up with her bare hands and served a customer his food without washing her hands!! Then she looked in a cabinet, slammed it shut and said there was a rat inside. Now, to be fair, I did not actually see the rat. However, she seemed pretty shaken up. Needless to say, we got out of there as fast as humanly possible. My husband couldn't cut his fish with a knife and my hamburger was awful. Not sure what it actually was, but sure didn't seem like good beef. I left starving, but couldn't eat a thing. The staff was not friendly and were much more interested in gossiping with each other than attending to anyone's needs. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

It is a pity that we can not rate 0 or 1/2 stars cause I would have given it a 0 if I could but a 1/2 at the very most for the culinary catastrophe that this place offers. Went in with vouchers cause parents plan was cancelled. If it was not for the $30 off this meal would have been a tragic waste of time and energy. With the $30 it was just a tragic waste of time. $17.99 for fish and chips that was three boxed frozen fish over cooked with a small handful of waffle fries. $16.99 for a beef dip which was basically a handful of over cooked dry potatoe chips and over cooked roast beef sliced improperly so bad that any person who works in a kitchen would feel ashamed at destroying a piece of meat that a living creature gave up their life to contribute to the meal on a stale bun with a dipping sauce that was more like a watery BBQ sauce than a beef au jus. $16.99 for a small slice of salmon on a stale bun with over limp lettuce drowned in dressing. Ended up paying $28.23 for this mess after the $30 discount from the vouchers. If we had paid full price we definitely would have sent it all back, demanded a refund and spent that money at the tim hortons downstairs or at any other place in edmonton. In response to the "how is everything?" our answer was "dreadful. This is the worst food we have ever eaten" got the response of "I am sorry you feel that way" from the waitress and she just walked away with no other offer or concern. When we were done and finished paying for this wretched meal as we were leaving my parents mentioned to the waitress to possibly change the brand of frozen boxed fish they use and the only response was "it is airport food, what do you expect?" Even airport food in any other city in the world we have gone to has had some semblance of quality and standards. This place has discovered rock bottom of standards for food and service and has started to dig deeper. Starve before you waste money at this place. read more
