I just moved here and I couldn't stand the hard water here in San Antonio any longer! I called Jason's Water Softeners and I must say they were awesome! Not only did they educate me and my family on the benefits of having soft water but and why my current softener wasn't working. I had a water softener which came with the house and I couldn't figure out why I was still hard water. I felt like I was wasting money on salts and getting no benefits. My wife and I live in Spring Branch, TX and despite having what we thought was a high end water softening system we continued to see hard water spots in our sinks, in our shower glass wall, in our appliances and throughout our home. We did some research and quickly found Jason's Water MFG. We met with Jason and his after seeing his presentation we rather quickly made the easy decision to have his equipment installed in our home. I still remember the day, when Jason's water system was installed, it was like flipping on a switch and we finally began to receive soft water all the time, day and night, from every faucet in our home. I purchased this product on November, trusting the sales person. So far very disappointed. Still have spots on the shower and fixture after every use. Their solution is to rinse it after every use. Very disrespectful to myself and my wife. Made a comment about her rear being big amongst other sexual comments. The system is out dated!!!! When I asked how I'm to know when to put salt in his guy said "just open the lid and look in" seems easy enough but there are way cheaper systems out there that connect to a remote that notifies you when your nearly out of salt. His system sprung a leak and ruind y drywall. Doesn't fix the damage. Also I happen to know for a fact that the guy named Gil on his website reviews is not a current customer but works one street over at the gorilla print shop who does all of his signs and cards. The guy read everything off a script in Jason's office! Obviously his system isn't that good if he had to get some one that doesn't have his system to lie and claim he does. System was installed with multiple problems since day one. No professionalism in returning phone calls left at the main office. The owner/creator of the system had no problem giving me his sales pitch, in a timely manner, when he was trying to sell me the system. Now, he's nowhere to be heard from. I bought a Jason's Water Softener a couple of months ago after moving into a new house. I received my first water bill which was very high. The second month my water bill was even higher so I knew either I had a leak or something was wrong with the water softener. The "master" plumber came out and checked out the plumbing they installed and found no leaks, but he said the system was running continuously so all the water was going down the sewer. He said a service technician would be calling. After a day or so and no response, I called again. Finally the technician came out. He told me that a gasket had been improperly installed, that the guy who did the install was new and he corrected the problem. I told him I also noticed that in the mornings sometimes the water coming out of my inside faucets would be really foamy and very salty. He said if it continued to just call him and he would come out. It continued and I did call him and he never got back to me. Emily, the sales person told me she would send an invoice so I could try to recoup some of the water bills from SAWS which she did. I told Emily if SAWS did not reimburse me, I would be calling her again. She said yes, and indicated that something would be done on their end. I submitted the information to SAWS and they said I had to wait 2 billing cycles. I received a letter from SAWS and they said they would only reimburse me $38. The bills totaled around $350 for the 2 1/2 months the system was not working. I sent her an email attaching all of the bills and the letter from saws. After 5 days, I still hadn't heard from her so I called her and left a message. I still have not heard back from her. I also made an additional service request online because the saltiness was still continuing. After 3 days, I heard nothing so I emailed Emily again. Finally her son, the technician, called me back and we scheduled a time for him to adjust the system. It seems that I am now being ignored. This company lacks integrity and they do not stand behind their service or their product. I will definitely not be recommending Jason's Water Systems to anyone that I know. And I agree with Fidel, I would return it if I could. Expensive system with crappy service. read more

Eventually, about three weeks after my last review, they got someone out there that they contracted to service their water softener systems and install the gap. It took several attempts to get a day and time nailed down, but it did happen. When you spend this much on a system you really expect the service to be efficient and courteous as you have invested your trust and money in their word and business. After this experience, there was no apology from Jason or Jason's Water System, just a very tired contractor trying to run around and fix all of Jason's water softener issues for them. The water was always soft in the three years we lived with this model, but not knowing if the water was contaminated or not is a $1,500 possible waste of money. I'm still very disappointed in this company I'm sorry to report. Maybe Lowe's water softeners are the way to go? Or maybe there is another company out there that backs up their softener/filter systems with good customer service? I do hope so! read more

This system was in the house we purchased, paid $850 for a new resin tank since we were told the old one was worn out. Regenerates every 3 days and our water use is about 4000 gallons above the neighborhood average per month. Choose a different company. Customer support is not reliable. read more

If there's something that Jason needs to learn is that "The customer is always right". I had a water leak for over a week. I called Jason and asked if he could send those guys again who originally installed the pipe and dug the ground where there's an irrigation leak. We were thinking of any possible reason for that leak to happen and one was where those guys installed the pipe close to the irrigation. There's nothing wrong with asking Jason to send those guys here again to check their work. After all, we paid over $4000+ for that water filtration system. Jason told me that his grandson was around our area and will check it. Then to my surprise his grandson went straight to check whether the water is soft. That's not exactly what I told Jason concerning the problem. Apparently, he told his grandson something completely different. His grandson even agreed with me that Jason is always like that. So I followed up again, His grandson said that Jason is sending a guy to take a look at the problem. When Jason's guy called me that he will come this Monday, I told him that we are available this Friday. Besides, I told the guy that it's raining in our area all throughout Thursday and it would be best for him to work Friday when it's not raining hard. He asked me what was the problem. I told him what the City of Georgetown discovered and thought about the issue. I specifically mentioned "those guys" who originally installed the pipe so it's easy to remember. So, when I talked to Jason today, he said that the guy will not come because he got insulted that I don't want to work with their race specifically. I DID NOT say that when I talked to that guy. He clearly misunderstood what I meant and I apologize for that. I just specifically mentioned who originally installed the pipe so it's easy to recall. If there's someone who got insulted, that was my husband and I. When I was talking to that guy last Monday, he and his fellow guys were laughing so loud in the background. My husband got insulted also when those guys ( I specifically mentioned who originally installed the pipe) had our water running most of the day causing us water over billed for over $200. Jason was angry over the phone. He hung up on me when I was still talking. I called him back again. He shouted at me and said "I AM TALKING, NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME AND YOU SHUT UP!". After talking angrily, he hung up again without giving me the chance to talk. I just want to explain to him what the real conversation with his guy who felt insulted. That's totally rude of him! I was not shouting at him over the phone. If there's one person who has the right to get mad here it's the customer because the customer is always right no matter what. read more

I moved into my new home and the sales person who is named Amy ran up to me in my yard and made promises concerning the Jayson's system. She even explained to me that they would give me 2 years free cleaner for the system. Well, after we made the purchase of the system, she disappeared and now we cannot find her. The company will not honor her lie concerning the detergent cleaner for the system. I was also told that if I referred someone, I would get a $300 referral fee if that person signed up. So, after the purchase of the system, i called Amy to get my money but she did not call me back after about 50 CALLS to her phone number and her voice was on the voice mail, so she cannot say that she did not get my calls. It took 10 months to finally reach one of the owners and he tells me that he could not give me the entire amount but he would negotiate an amount and give me $150! These people are crooks! They told me in order to do maintenance they would charge me $150 just to remove and replace a small ring in the system. Then hit the regeneration button and that was it! They told me that they would not be able to stand by what their salesman promised me. This company sucks and I wish I could give it back to them and get my money back! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM read more

I have called Jasons water system to request someone come out and check and service my water softener and normally get voice mail and when I leave a message I get no response or get a live person who tells me someone will call. I feel the costs are inflated and you can do as well getting a much reasonable one. I think if you pay over $1,500 you have paid too much to include installation. Water softeners are not a matter of life and death and really just a frill. I have drank water out of the faucet in San Antonio for years and have not experienced any problems. I will never buy another Jason's Water Softener. Terrible service and not worth the inflated prices. read more

First let me say that this is not a poor rating on Jason's water softener itself or the customer service. The softener is outstanding (I have never had better) & customer service was prompt, and awesome. BUT....I purchased the softener a few years ago and needed to move into another house so I stored it. In my new house that was pre-plumbed I had the softener positioned for the tech and it took around thirty minutes to re-hook up. I asked the price and he called the management. That 30 minutes of a tech that was not a skilled trade plumber was going to cost me $600!! He talked them down to $300. I could have had a certified plumber hook it up for the average going price of $125 per hour. That my friends is highway robbery. If I had to pay the full price it would cost me almost one fifth of the total system. So if your thinking of buying a system it's great, but you can turn that $5K system in a $6K system in just one service call and how many more may you have to call about!?!? Buyer beware. read more
