I went to Jasmine Nails today 5/2 with a friend of mine and Fiance. I received THE WORST service ever! It was beyond embarrassing! I told the lady doing my nails I wanted a specific color for my manicure, I pulled out my phone and showed her the picture. I told her I wanted to sample this since my wedding was coming up soon and would like to see what it looked like beforehand. She told me the color in the picture, without skipping a beat. When it came time to actually do the manicure. She started prepping the nails and applying the color that was supposedly what was in my picture. I was sidetracked, watching food network on their TV.......long story short, by the time I looked down at my nails, she had applied color to both hands and they were NOT the color I asked for AT ALL. It couldn't have been more different. To make matters worse, the nails were smudged since she wasn't paying attention. She dropped the brush applicator on the floor, picked it up and continued using it, LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED!! I was shocked!! When I told her, "excuse me, but this is not the color I wanted, she looked at me and spoke in Vietnamese to her coworkers and never responded to me. When I brought it up again, she finally said, 'Oh I thought that was the color." I showed her the picture once again and she finally admitted to applying the wrong color.....one hour into my appointment. She then told me, "next time it's free." I go to checkout, keep in mind, (I'm here with my best friend and Fiance,) I asked her to write me a note and sign it stating next time I come in, it' free, so I can actually try on the right color. She said something in her language again and the owner came over to the checkout area. The owner then began to raise her voice at me and caused a huge scene, saying verbatim, "WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING, SORRY. IT'S NOT FAIR TO HER TO WASTE HER TIME!" Really???? Not fair to the lady who messed my nails up?? Apparently, they don't consider the customer here. I kept my composure, paid my $85 and left. I did not want to continue being embarrassed by the owner and employee, who ridiculed me in front of a store full of people. Moral of the story....I'll never step foot here again. I'd rather spend my money at MIDTOWN RETREAT, where they have class. read more

Okay, things went downhill with the second visit. I asked nicely not to be put under the light for my nails and for buffing compound instead of the topcoat that requires the light. Instead I got an argument and bullied into using it yet again. It's a $10. upsell. On top of that my nails were square instead of round. I will not be back. read more

After 6 years of living downtown and searching for a nail place that was both affordable AND great, I FINALLY found Jasmine a few months ago. They are great at what they do, fast, friendly, and cheap. You can't beat them anywhere in the loop, and I've been to most of the salons. If you are planning on going on a Saturday, book an appointment in advance! They stay busy, and for good reason. I usually try to go in the afternoon as a late lunch to avoid the rush. I adore the hot stone pedicure massages and their VAST Shellac selection. I won't go anywhere else now. read more

Excellent hot stone massage as part of regular pedicure very efficient and I have to say one of the best leg massages I might have ever gotten. I have super sensitive shins and hate when they put too much pressure during massage. I couldn't believe how relaxing and gentle my person was. I am only sad we don't have a place like this at home. I love this place! They have lots of employees so there is hardly ever a wait no matter what time with or without an appointment. They also have excellent quality for a decent price without the "it's too good to be true" problem. I can get shellac mani, deluxe pedi, & eyebrow wax in an hour or less. I used to go here at least once a month, and got my mom, sisters, and friends all going here. They used to do an awesome job with Shellac manicures and were super friendly. However, the last few times I've been, I've had several complaints. One of the ladies talks extremely loud and makes it very hard to relax. Also, I was unknowingly charged $5 to remove my Shellac manicure, even though I was getting another one done. I wouldn't have even gotten the manicure if I would have known about this charge, but the manager didn't tell me until I paid at the end, citing "Saturdays get crazy around here." Also, the quality and attention to detail of the manicures and pedicures have declined. I used to be loyal to Jasmine, but now I will definitely be going elsewhere! read more

I have never been someone who has been committed to one nail salon but that has all changed for me now. I have high standards for any type beauty treatment since I went to cosmetology school and I know how things are to be done and how its done right. This place is phenomenal. They have a very clean shop. You know without a doubt that the tools that they are using on you are clean and sanitized, this is HUGE, and I was impressed/pleased with their level of technique and skill. I love this place! I started coming here a year ago because of a collision of life events (husbands birthday, Thanksgiving, daughters baptism), and I wanted my nails to look good. I didn't really know where to go since I was never the type to get my nails done, so I looked up reviews on yelp. Yelp didn't fail me! I love these ladies. They are so good at what they do. It's not only the quality of their work that has me coming back, but the cleanliness is definitely a major plus. How many times have we heard of horror stories regarding nail shops?! I used to go to the nail shop in the galleria (out of convenience)but was less than impressed with the less than desirable off white nail technician smocks. The best thing about this place is their awareness about YOUR time. It is a wonderful place to go to if you are a professional that doesn't have much time to do anything. Why do I say this? The last time I came in I got 3 people to work on me at the same time! I paid $70 for a French tip mani/pedi that only took an hour (dry and wait time included: and I was a walk-in). Appointments of course are best, but it's nice to know that if you need a service on short notice, you will be taken care of. And last note, for all you ladies and gentleman that need Audi services that take up time, this nail shop is in walking distance. (Not necessarily recommended to do this considering that it would require walking across 59/shepherd underpass) However, the proximity allows one to get their car serviced and a mani/pedi all at the same time :) read more

Disclaimer, I only ever review vendors that either provide me with stellar or horrendous service. Happy to say that I have been going to Jasmine Nails for 3+ years now and have consistently received outstanding service every time. I don't have a regular nail technician as I feel that everyone that has ever worked on either my hands or feet has been meticulous, skillful, and detailed oriented. There are so many "pros" about this establishment, and happy to list them. 1) Ease of appointments. I am a creature of habit and always call ahead 15-20 minutes prior to my appointment. Debbie, the store manager, knows my phone number well, and immediately greets me and informs me there is a chair available in the next 15-20 minutes. Dare I say the booking process may even be easier than most online booking tools. 2) Ample parking. Disclaimer, I do tend to go on the week days unsure about the parking situation on the weekends. 3) They know my preferred nail length, shape, polish colors, and makes great recommendations. I like very short, squared shape nails. Fingers I always buff to a shine as I tend to pick at nail polish, and as for my feet I always tend to gravitate towards a pink/berry/red color. 4) They never skim on the best parts of the service. Which for me are the callus removal, scrub, and hot stone massage. 5) They allow me to work in peace while I wait for my nails to dry. If the store is pretty empty, they allow me to continue to sit in the massage chair to wait for my nails to dry while I'm doing a teleconference or answering my work emails. 6) Cleanliness and no fumes. I always see that they are breaking open tools from the sanitation bags, constantly doing laundry, and scrub out the tubs in between customers. 7) Reasonable pricing. In summary, I would recommend the fantastic ladies at Jasmine Nails to anyone. I will continue to patron this establishment for as long as I live in Houston. read more

On my 60th birthday I treated myself to my very first ever professional pedicure. (A week or so before I admired a strangers pedicure and was told she gets her nails done at Jasmine Nails.) I could not have been more pleased with the service and end results...a true birthday treat! I was hooked! Eight years later I still get my nails done at Jasmine Nails. I have cheated on occasion and been so disappointed! The owner and staff have a warm and professional manner that is very appealing. Hands down! I love this place. I was told of this place by a friend of mine because I loved the way her nails looked all the time. I finally went to Jasmine nails and everyone is so sweet and nice. They do a great job on the hands and the feet. The hot stones they use on your legs and hands feel amazing. I love the shellac they use as well, it really does last for 2 weeks and sometimes even longer depending on how much you do the dishes and what not. Definitely a must!! read more

I'm new to the Texas area and found this place through a friend. The first time I went, I was brought by my friend and Mrs. Anne was amazing. So I made an appointment to comeback. I left early enough for my appointment but got lost coming from Seabrook (called ahead once I realized) and was about 15 minutes late. Once again, Mrs. Anne was great. I called to make another appointment and the older lady was focused on me not being late she couldn't hear the services I requested. Showed up to my appointment 20 minutes earlier and couldn't get done what I wanted because it wasn't recorded. Made my appointment again, the same lady, focused once again about the first appointment of being late. This trend of her focusing on the episode happened for three more appointments till I just got tired and took my business elsewhere read more

This place is great! I read the reviews before going and all positive comments ring true: First, it is very affordable. As long as they don't raise their prices, I'll be a customer. Second, the girls that work there are very nice and I didn't feel like they were talking about me. They may have just perfected the art of taking $hit while appearing to talk about the weather but that doesn't bother me. Third, their tools are right-out-of-the-wrapper new. Don't expect it will be some posh, relaxing place with a bunch of waterfalls and tulle drapped between the chairs because it is not. It's actually a touch dumpy on the inside. I LOVE my shellac mani/pedi's here! Nothing fancy pants about this place, but trust that your product will stay put. Get it, guh. First time around, I had longer finger nails, and did the matte black w/ shiny black tips. So many compliments. I did a nice baby pink on my toes that are still looking fab a month later. Today I did the same soft pink on my fingers. I mentioned to my technician that I had been uncomfortable my last time around. I went with my girlfriend and neither of our techs spoke to us in English the entire time. Instead, they chatted with each other and giggled away. I don't assume they were talking smack, but it's awkward and a bit alienating to sit there and be left out of a mysterious convo. Whatevs. My tips look goooood. I LOVE this place and I've been coming here since July. I've tried other places and always wish I would have just gone to them. $35 for a Mani/Pedi with a hot stone massage included ^_^. I usually get shellac on my nails ($15 more with mani/pedi deal or about $27 for shellac manicure I believe) but even when I got a regular manicure with OPI polish it lasted 2 weeks with little to no chipping and that NEVER happens for me. I can't say that will always happen though so don't expect shellac results with regular OPI polish... Either way I'm can easily say if you come to this nail salon you will be pleased. The ladies are nice and I believe all of them but 1 have done either my mani or pedi before and I've been pretty satisfied (though I do have a favorite person for shellac lol). I have gotten 3 mani-pedi's before, and they all had 'just okay' service... Last night I went to Jasmine nails with a girlfriend, she said she had read pretty good reviews. It was AWESOME! It's a small place, but I think that's what I liked about it, that it didn't smell like acetone! Eva (sp?) was the name of the young lady that assisted me, and she was super sweet! That was the first time I have rec'd a hot stone massage (on my feet), and it was so relaxing :D She then did a mani ( I asked for french tip) and they are gorgeous! I was very satisfied with the costumer service (Eva) and with the price!!! I used to love this place but not so much anymore. If you're looking for a relaxing session, try some other place. Atmosphere has changed here. Technicians constantly chat with each other at a loud level. While chatting, they often pay attention to each other rather than the service they are providing, which makes me uncomfortable. The last two pedis I got, massage part did not last more than 3 minutes, sad. Only thing remains the same and good is the shellac service. They do it right. read more

Sometimes you try out a place, are impressed, return again, but don't get the same experience...not anymore! Jasmine Nail salon is consistent and I've returned several times--so I vet it for ya! I love my manicures--they are perfect every time. Never an issue with chipping, etc. AND icing on the cake: I got a pedi, went back to work, it smudged, came back and they fixed it.
