Never found a great shellac manicure salon in Houston until now! I first started getting shellac about two years ago in San Francisco, and I had yet to find a place in Houston that does an excellent job at shellac manicures until now! I am thrilled. Typically shellac is supposed to endure 14 days without chipping. Other places I've tried in Houston left my manicure lasting a pathetic 5 days, some even less. However, Jasmine Nails has passed the test, my nails just started lifting after 13 days. I'm talking about they've endured countless hand washings and squeezing lemons (which causes premature chipping due to the acidity)..but they've lasted until now, hence the review. The best part is the cost! $50 for a shellac manicure and spa treatment pedicure with heated rocks. When typically most places charge about $40+ for the manicure alone (unless you find a Groupon), I'd like to call this place bang for your buck! Super clean, women are friendly, and the receptionist is fluent in English-so no hassles/confusion with your appointment, time, or any service you receive. Love it. Best nails in Houston! No, really...I've had my nails done at spas like The Houstonian and Zaza and small places from Sugar Land to the inner loop. My girlfriend dragged me into this place located in a somewhat sketchy looking strip center on the 59N feeder, and I was a bit unsure. My first experience was great, but I've learned that sometimes you just get lucky. After four months of appointments, I can now confidently give Jasmine Nails a five star rating. They hit a home run every time. I come every other Friday like clockwork and get a shellac mani and spa pedi. My nails always come out superb - the cuticles are cut short, and there are never uneven nails or paint spills over the edges. The shellac always lasts two weeks. I'm rough in my hands, so that is saying a lot. If you're looking for a spa atmosphere with amenities like a jacuzzi or massage, this might not be right for you. If your mani/pedi is less about pampering and more about self care and maintenance, give Jasmine Nails a try. Whether it's Michelle, Ruby, Mai or one of the other lovely ladies serving you, you can't go wrong. And Heidi, who answers the phone half of the week, is also a gem. read more

Man, I really wanted to fall in love with this place, but I think there were just a few things wrong. I'll probably go back though to try an see if it was just a fluke. I like to give places two trys to make sure. I'll update after my second visit. In the meantime, my first visit. Booking an appointment was really easy, the receptionist was really nice and easy to talk to. I came in the next day and got seated immediately. I had a regular Mani/pedi for $50...not bad on the price. They did my hands and feet at the same time, which was nice. I don't normally get to involved with the nail techs, I just let them do what they do and it usually turns out fine. For my pedicure, the sea salt and hot stones was amazing! Before she started painting my toes, I was asked to try shellac. I've never had this and I was slightly interested so I went for it. Good saleswoman because I wouldn't have tried it had I not been asked even though it was intriguing. They tried to match the shellac with the color I picked and ended up picking one that was slightly off which isn't a big deal, but instead of just painting my fingers with shellac and toes with the color I picked, they painted the first layer of my toes with the color I picked and the second layer with the color they picked that matched the shellac. The second coat didn't fully cover the first coat so you could see the two shades not matching right on top of one another. Also, with the shellac, it was applied very well. The only issue I had with it was that it wasn't applied all the way to the end of my nail bed so when I looked at it at the very end it looked like my nails had already grown out a little and I just got them done. I felt weird about asking them to remove it all and reapply since it took 30-40 minutes. Plus they were starting to get busy. When I looked at my toes the big toe also looked the same, wasn't painted all the way back and had the two tone thing going on. The good part though is that two weeks later the shellac still hasn't chipped and I've been really rough on my nails (even working on my car). Wow! I've never seen something work so well. And I've had a few people comment on how good the shellac was. I even cut my nails shorter and that didn't cause them to chip! read more

Jasmine Nails used to be my favorite, but I find that their services lack consistency. Sometimes my nails are on point, and others times they do a real sloppy job. I usually do my nails twice a month, and I go here at least once a month so that goes to show how much I frequent this place. Yes the ladies are nice and they keep the talking to a minimum which I love (not much of a talker especially when I'm getting pampered). Yes this place is clean. No I haven't had any fungal infections, and yes their tools are sterilized. However, I love consistency and I really wish I had fabulous nails every single time I leave the store. But the last couple of times my nails have been mediocre at best. Again, it really does depend on which lady does your nails so you may or may not get lucky. Shellac solomente. No Gelish. No OPI Axxium. Reasoning? "Gelish destroys your nails" -- yeah? So do fake tips. You still put those on! They have a fantastic wall of regular colors and they do have basically every Shellac color out. But I can't help it. I have a strange loyalty to Gelish. I love their colors and I love how it looks, so color me disappointed they only had Shellac. They do not multi-task. I am one of those women who come to salons to get something done, not to dally and enjoy being female. I do not find that relaxing (it's my weekend, I've got a lot to do!). So I had my pedicure..... then 45-60 minutes later, I got my nails done. I was on a tight schedule! Wish I knew they weren't going to multi-task before I got there! But the girls are nice. The place is clean. The receptionist is very accommodating. It would be perfect if they multi-tasked to get me out of there faster and if they had Gelish. In the past year, I finally have felt like I should be treating myself more and getting more regular mani/pedis. Find a place that does them well AND at a good price was a whole other challenge. I've only been there once to have shellac manicure and regular pedicure but already have my next appointment booked. My first experience was great. Even though they were busy, they took good care on my nails, carefully put on the shellac (I can't stand places that hurry and paint up onto your cuticles only to have it start peeling after a couple of days), and had a wide range of colors to choose from. This was my first visit here. I came here because I got off work early and needed a place close to the med center. I made an appointment ahead of time and that was probably a good idea, it was packed. The ladies were all super nice and very professional. They take their work very seriously. I got a pedi and shellac nails. They actually had some kind of pow wow over which shade of shellac would match my toes the best. They even mix their shades of shellac here to be sure you get the right shade you want. The pedi was amazing. I am always tense when I get my nails done for some reason. And here I actually slept a few winks. It was so relaxing. Do allow yourself ample time for your pampering experience. I was there a good hour and a half and enjoyed every minute. read more

I came into Jasmine Nails because I couldn't go to the north side to Pro Nails. This location is fairly close to my apartment it is very clean and all the staff were very helpful. I needed a shellac pedicure and to remove the shellac that was still on there. I forgot the tech who did my pedicure I think it was Kim, not sure it was this past Saturday around 5pm. She did an amazing job removing, cleaning, cutting cuticle, and massaging my puppies. I don't think I was there more than an hour and half. Their massage chairs really get in there too. I just moved into a new apartment and Jasmine nails is around the corner, so I've been shirking my usual for convenience, and it's been a great experience! I've been about three times now if memory serves, and I've gone in both with and without appointments. I will say that even if you have to wait a little bit sans appointment, you won't ever be turned away. I've had a variety of techs, and they've all done a stellar job. Kim has done my shellac a couple times (which looked great both times), but I decided to give my nails a rest this time and went for a normal mani which was equally well done. Everyone there is super nice and accommodating to your schedule. They will come in early and stay late you are in a bind. They encourage you to get an appointment because it can get pretty packed at peak hours. Their products are legit and I always get great results. I gets plenty of compliments from my friends. Jasmine nails does it all right. I recommend an appointment before you walk in unless it is early on a weekday and Saturdays I'm sure they are busy. This is my 2nd time at Jasmine and I received one of the best mani/pedis ever. The girls do your feet and hands simultaneously (I suppose you wouldn't have to do that if you didn't feel comfortable) and you really feel pampered. $50 gets you a gorgeous shellac manicure and spa pedicure with hot stone massage. My nails look amazing, the gals were great, the place clean and inviting. The best part was the shellac manicure came with a hand and arm massage, which most places leave out. I was referred by a friend to request Christina, and I'm glad that I did. I called ahead to make an appointment with her. Christina greeted me kindly and asked me what I would like. Christina did an AWESOME job - very thorough, took her time to do a good job, gave good instructions (be careful putting your hands in/taking them out of the UV light machine) since this was my first time getting shellac. My friend's nails who also got French tip shellac done by Christina looked GREAT at a wedding last week, and she said hers lasted 2 weeks!! I will be going back to Christina from now on. $12 for manicure + $20 for French tip shellec (more labor!), total $32 for shellac French tip manicure (that lasts for 2 weeks!!) The place was clean and organized. I talked with some regular goers while in the waiting area, and they said it is always busy. First time visiting Jasmine Nails and I must say I am very pleased with their service.

I had read another review about this nail salon from someone I consider a good source and i'm glad I visited the location. Jasmine Nails is very clean and everyone is very polite. I went with a girlfriend and we didn't have an appointment. I tend to not make appointments for new places because I like to see how they handle new people. They were very full, after all it was Friday and that means get pretty for the weekend time. At first they said it would take 15 -20 minutes but when we said we didn't want to wait that long they shifted somethings around and accommodated us. Perhaps we were squeezed in between two appointments but I was glad they took care of us. I did not feel rushed and they did a very thorough job. We got pedicures and shallac manicures. Their prices are fair for the work that they do and I'm very happy that I stopped by. Overall I recommend visiting the location. It is very quiet and relaxing. My feet are the prettiest they've been in a long, long time. The nail techs are very nice and really take their time. The one doing my feet suggested a different combination of polishes to achieve the look I wanted, and it looks fantastic- exactly what I wanted, and if she had just used the first polish I handed her, I would have been disappointed. The basic pedi is an absolute steal, as it comes with all the extras my mom's place charges for, like salt scrub and hot stone massage. I got my fingernails done, too, and went ahead and got the shellac as it's only $15 dollars more, which is less than my mom pays at her place out in suburbia. It was my first time with the shellac, and I'm loving it so far. It's more than worth it for me because I always, always, always ruin my manicures on the first day, but I'm unwilling to do acrylics. read more

The place overall is nice and small, the ladies there are alright but the lady that did my pedi was so sweet(sorry forgot her name). My main thing was getting the perfect nails for a wedding I had the next day and that's just what Jasmine Nails got me. The lady was a little bit rough doing my nails, I had tinsy pain especially from the machine that kept hitting my cuticles and when she went over it with acetone OMG *Burn* but usually full sets are not the most comfortable thing to get right? I really want to leave a good review, but unfortunately the service I received was a solid three stars. My friend and I made an appointment for pedi+mani for two, but when we came in, there was only one lady available. They still asked us to sit down and that lady started doing my friend's pedicure. I waited about ten minutes and told them I didn't have to get a full set if they were short on staff. Another lady managed to finish her client sooner and came to do my pedicure. The lady who did my pedicure was good, but my manicure was done by at least three different ladies, and they all seemed to rush. At the end I could see two different layers on my nail polish, which I almost never saw if I went to a nail salon. What made me not very happy was I found out they left all my cuticles untouched and the shapes of my nails were slightly different. Some with round ends and others with rectangular ends. So basically for manicure they cut my nails short and put on nail polish, and that's it! The owner of the salon was really nice, and I believe they provide way better service when they are not busy. I gave it three stars because the lady that did my pedicure was sweet! But! The lady that did my manicure was awful, after poking me three times my pinky started bleeding and didn't stop. After she wanted to keep going like nothing happened and she didn't even apologize for it. She kept telling me I kept moving like it's my fault. I got my nails done Saturday and it still hurts till this day I'm going to the doctor because at this point it looks infected. I wouldn't recommend her or this place. I was with my sister and she was still getting her feet done- when I was half finished- they rushed me off the massage chair for another customer and I think that was not right of them to do. After my toes were dried- I noticed there was another coat of polish needed- but I honestly felt like I could not even ask for it since I was already feeling rushed. I am from out of town and saw the good reviews on yelp for this place. And I was not disappointed!! Pleasant environment. Excellent hot stone massage as part of regular pedicure very efficient and I have to say one of the best leg massages I might have ever gotten. I have super sensitive shins and hate when they put too much pressure during massage. I couldn't believe how relaxing and gentle my person was. I am only sad we don't have a place like this at home.
