We can't say enough good things about Oded and Jasmine Catering. He catered our wedding on December 29, 2016 and we were incredibly grateful for all of his work ensuring that everything went smoothly. He really went above and beyond - making sure that we had meals for our guests with food allergies, helping us with the rentals, being extremely available by email over the months leading up to the wedding and very on top of all of the details. His staff was top-notch - at one point I had a mishap with my wedding dress and one of his employees help me to pin my dress in the kitchen. Oded and his staff made sure that our wedding went smoothly and that everyone was happy. He offered a wide variety of options on his catering menu and we settled on the winter dinner menu, which was delicious. The guests loved the food, (even our most foodie of friends were glowing about Oded's food). I just wanted to give an update to my review. My One of the wonderful things about Jasmine catering is that they created a menu that was designed specifically for us. We told the owners what foods we liked and they gave us a wonderful tasting of the dishes before the actual wedding. The food perfect. We did not need to change the menu at all. The team at Jasmine Catering is fantastic! I hired them for my parents' anniversary celebration, and I'm so glad I did! Oded is incredibly kind, patient, and professional. I emailed him more than two dozen times leading up to the event, and he always got back to me right away with helpful explanations and suggestions. He accommodated my many changes, even managing to procure additional chairs in response to my last-minute request. The food was delicious! All the dishes received rave reviews from the guests. My particular favorites were the brie and onion fillo crisps and the ratatouille. I'm a vegetarian, but my guests informed me that the crab cakes and chicken were expertly prepared and very tasty. The service was equally stellar. Oded and his team dropped off the rentals the night before and showed up right on time on the big day. They were friendly, polite, and easy-going. They worked hard to blend into the background and take care of all the details so that the hosts and guests could enjoy the party. They even packed up the remaining food and stored it in the fridge before they left for the evening! I should add that, after getting quotes from at least ten other places, I am convinced that this is the best deal in the Bay Area. Jasmine Catering charged me half what others were asking for equivalent services. (I found it particularly notable that Oded suggested ways we could reduce costs without sacrificing quality; he clearly does not intend to overcharge his clients!) I don't know how they do it, but it goes without saying that I will hire them again for future events! Oded is fantastic. We hired Oded / Jasmine Catering to cater our wedding at the Brazilian Room in September 2019, and the process could not have been better. After doing research on numerous catering companies, his was one that was reasonably priced and with excellent food. We are foodies with high expectations for food, so we really cared about the food at our wedding. He nailed it. Oded is extremely professional, and it is obvious he has years of experience. He was incredibly fast and responsive on email. Everything at our wedding went smoothly also. The set up, take down, everything. And, just as we wanted, people loved the food at our wedding! Various guests came up to us talking about how delicious the food was -- people particularly loved the ratatouille and the salmon. It is not easy to cook salmon so perfectly for over 100 people. Oded was terrific. His team worked with us during our wedding reception last year--on Thanksgiving day!! it was very difficult to find caterers willing to work that day, so we were really impressed with how well it all turned out. We had a lovely fall dinner, with roasted veggies, pasta salads, and slow cooked meat. We also had lots of leftovers, so we had enough food to eat for a couple of days after the event... no worries because it was delicious and it kept well. Oded was timely, the room looked beautiful, and the prices were fair. They took care of the food and the rentals, and were happy to work with what we already had, making useful recommendations on how to make the most of it (we had lots of chairs, for instance, in the venue we used, and Oded suggested we used those, saving quite a bit of money). Everything was very relaxing and easy going, nothing terribly fancy, but all more than correct. I honestly could have not been happier with he over all experience. Highly recommended. read more

Oded and his team were amazing! I got married earlier this month at the Tilden Park Brazilian Room in Berkeley. Working with Oded was great- he is very professional and quick to respond. I had a lot of last minute changes and he kindly accommodated all of our requests. The food was excellent- we went with the vegan pasta primavera, chicken, Mediterranean salad, potatoes, crab cakes, butternut squash crostinies and stuffed mushrooms. The appetizers were passed and the dinner was buffet style. We were on a budget and I thought the price was very reasonable. I received great comments from the wedding guests about the service- they quickly refilled anything that went empty and the bartender was wonderful. We had a dedicated staff member who brought me and my husband appetizers, drinks, and served us dinner and cake. We were so busy we probably wouldn't have eaten if it wasn't for her! They set up the tables beautifully. I am really impressed with Jasmine Catering and I highly recommend working with them for your wedding or special event. read more

My fiancé and I reached out to Jasmine Catering early on in our search for a catering company for our wedding. Oded was incredibly quick to respond to every email and question we had. Unfortunately, our wedding plans and budget changed drastically, so we were unable to use them for our wedding. The prices are the BEST we found for catering without compromising the quality of the food (we did a tasting and it was DELICIOUS!!). Oded catered my daughter's wedding last weekend and did a wonderful job. He created a Latin American dinner based on our requests. Everything was fresh and delicious. I love this caterer! He's saved me a couple of times in last-minute crises, and also done events for me with advance notice. I especially love his stuffed mushrooms and his chocolate cookies, besides the yummy main dishes. He arrives early, the stuff looks beautiful, and he cleans up my kitchen immaculately before he leaves. His assistant makes the table look gorgeous with lovely tablecloths, clever staging, etc. I recommend them often. They make me look great! As a professional photographer, I have had the pleasure working on the same team with Oded and his talented staff at many different parties and events over several years. Jasmine Catering's food is always fresh and beautifully presented. I have the opportunity to see them behind the scenes and I have witnessed their whole catering process including: how they make the food fresh, onsite; set the tables and room to look absolutely perfect; plate and present the food on the buffet (very artful); interact with guests who require assistance and clean up after themselves. What I see is a staff that works very professionally together with NO DRAMA. They have all their materials with them and they work cleanly and on time. The food is prepped and/or made in the kitchen and they clean up after themselves as they go. Guests don't get to see whether there is chaos or mess behind the scenes but the fact that there isn't says a lot to me as a professional. Jasmine has their act together. Since there is no chaos, Oded and his team can focus on creating fantastic food and a great dining experience for the guests. I highly recommend Jasmine. From the beginning, I was really impressed by the speed with which Oded responded to my emails. To say that he is prompt is an understatement! He is very professional and will do his very best to help you keep your wedding costs down while still delivering a very high quality product. We had a Mediterranean/Asian fusion menu. The appetizers were a guest favorite, especially the ample amount! The halibut and vegetarian dinner entrees were perfect in size and taste, and the beef skewer entrée was delicious, but guests wished that the portion size was a little bit bigger. Presentation was excellent. The best part of working with Jasmine Catering is the excellent staff! They were so kind and professional. They were excellent bartenders and servers. Oded was perfectly happy serving the alcohol/drinks that I bought and did not charge extra corkage fees. This really helped me save money for my wedding. Jasmine catered my son's Bar Mitzvah last month. The food was creative, delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service was perfect (everything out when it needed to be, plates cleared without being obtrusive). Lots of flexibility in terms of coming up with a menu that met my requirements and my budget. (I wanted to do some of my own baking and they brought platters and plated everything.) Very responsive (via email) while doing the planning. Many compliments from guests. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I would have been happier if we'd had more guidance on quantities: we had far too much food, and though it was kind of nice to have yummy leftovers, they lasted a little too long and it would have been nicer to spend less. So, my recommendation is that you should definitely hire Jasmine, but just have more conversation about quantities. (It's a good idea to read the filtered reviews for Jasmine...I'm pretty sure they're all legit and will give you a better representation of what other people think.) read more
