The location is amazing.. as someone who lives in Manhattan, who rarely makes it into queens.. i was really happy to be somewhere that felt different. I rarely get the chance to have middle eastern exposure and experiences, so it was pleasant to be somewhere that felt authentic and rich in culture. I got there by the M60 bus and it was just a 5 minute walk. I walked passed many other hookah lounges but this the one that caught my attention because the seats looked so comfortable and the neon lit tree outside seemed cool. It has a modern ceiling with fun lighting and traditional furnishing. My 1st impression was fun and cozy. As you walk in the staff stood out wearing their blue shirts and walked you to table... i decided that i wanted to be outside.. so the spacey backyard was unexpected and cozy. I was offered heaters and even the remote to play whatever i wanted on the TV. Supercool. After my 1st hookah... i started to feel the cold since i didnt wear a coat so the staff was accommodating and friendly enough to take our hookah inside and reseat us. I had 2 different types of Hookah. The 1st was Watermelon. I really enjoyed its smoothness. Nothing overwhelming. We also had the Mint. The mint did pack a nice kick... being someone who haven't smoked as much hookah in my life.. it sure did make me feel like i had this relaxed buzz. The hookah staff stopped by ever half an hour to give new charcoal. Every Inhalation was flavorful and voluminous. Tasty!! The highlight of this visit was not only the nice, attentive, hardworking staff but the even friendlier owner. At some point, i asked if he was the owner because i noticed all the staff answering to him. We had a very nice small chat. If he wasn't outside at the front of the lounge, he was stationed by the entranced. I could tell that he is loved and respected because so many people stopped by his section to either greet or say bye. On my way out he closed this amazing experience and i felt like the least i could do is leave a great review. Im thankful to have discovered this location and i look forward to being back. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE. I'll definitely tell them to take a cab or public transit if they can because seeing all the double parked cars looked like a nightmare for someone intending to drive. Went there on 4/8/2023 with some coworkers as soon as we walked in. we were lucky to find a booth area to accommodate, a party of 6. hookah was flavorful and affordable. Not to mention they're open 24 hours a day. There no alcohol, but they do allow you to bring your own food inside. The sweeeetest gentleman helped me and was so accommodating, sweet, and welcoming. I felt at ease walking inside - right away. Walking to the back and seeing an outdoor area (covered with a tent so you won't burn or sweat - they also have a fan and tv outside as well) The whole place is a vibe. The smoothies are . I went here multiple times with my friends and we really liked it: the hookahs were fairly priced at $17. They were good quality and the service was good. The music was not too loud so you can actually hear whoever you're with. The couches have really nice resting pillows that you can lean on as an arm rest and that really is awesome. I came here last night with 6 of my friends looking to unwind and get some hookah and juice. Jasmin's is known for it's very reasonably priced menu, and overall quality. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by the owner, a very nice and polite gentleman. We asked to sit in the back (outdoor area) and were kindly escorted to our table. We each ordered our own hookah, and a mango juice, which was made fresh by the way. I could still taste the pulp and instantly knew it wasn't from concentrate. I ordered a shawarma and french fries as well, and was crossing my fingers that it would be good. My hookah came out first (Grape Mint) and the coals were absolutely perfect. It pulled very nice, even, and smooth. Every pull was nice and clean, and the pipe and inner workings were very clear. There are places that never bother to even clean their sheeshas, not Jasmin. After about 10 minutes my shawarma came out. I made the right decision. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and was super authentic. There's a bunch of interpretations of shawarmas in New York, the majority of which suck. I really can't stress how annoying it is when you order a shawarma and they bring you out a gyro. This wasn't the issue here. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great; I will definitely be back soon! read more

Decided to stop by here at around 12:30 in the afternoon since most of the other lounges were closed, and I'm so glad I did! We tried the blue mist flavor ($14 + $1tax) which tasted wonderful, had a great pull, and lasted us a really long time without getting harsh. The servers are so nice and attentive, they kept checking up on us and made sure our coals were fine. The music and ambiance at this lounge is very middle eastern, and it was refreshing for a change. Sheesha: Al-Fakhar, Royal Dubai, Starbuzz you name it Mo has it. Flavors: Everything from Green Apple, Sexy Lady, Coco Jumbo, Watermelon, Blue mist, sky is the limit. Mo always custom makes my hookah. He puts few different flavors in a fresh fruit pineapple placed on top of an ice bowl! #Heavenly (See pic in photos 1st pic) Now if you don't know; the best thing to have with jasmin's custom hookah is jasmin custom fresh juice! Epic combo.. Most people like to have green tea cuz it's soothing which is fine but the best thing to have with hookah is by far cold juice..which gives a nice cooling effect down your throat.. I don't mean to throw some shade on the reviewer who said Horus was the best but...what? Jasmin serves up pretty good hookah as far as lounges go. They really do need to stay on top of cleaning their hookahs. And their current leather hoses should be replaced with new ones because they're getting rusty (you can't wash leather hoses btw folks). And I would love to see them replace those typical Mya hoses with some better washable hoses but that that's not gonna happen. It does get 3 stars for serving up consistent bowls. The lounge itself has a very relaxing vibe to it. You could literally kill hours here just smoking some grapemint and sip on some mint tea while pwning in backgammon. Now, if you want the best hookah...just buy your own pipe, hose, bowl (get a phunnel bowl), your favorite tobacco brand and learn how to pack a proper bowl. Hookah lounges in Manhattan are rip offs. It doesn't cost them any more than it does for Jasmin or any other lounge in astoria to pack a bowl. They over charge the customer simply because they can (and rent is crazy expensive). No hookah should be more than $10. It's not like hookah lounges in NY have kept up with how the hookah industry has changed anyway. They still use the same old egyptians bowls (dont get me wrong, those work like a charm but phunnels are better for super juicy tobacco) same overhyped tobacco brands and flavors, Anyways I'll end my rant by saying Jasmin is a solid place if you're looking for a relaxing smoke session without breaking the bank or being surrounded by teenagers dancing to shitty music while hoovering their blue mist in a pineapple. read more

The server was a sweetheart and came by several times to check if everything was alright and if we needed anything. He seemed really happy with his job. He was incredibly nice. I think the watermelon one was kind of harsh, but it tasted like a jolly rancher. The prices are great. Regular flavors are $9. The seats were comfortable and the restrooms were clean. Very good for groups and lingering there for hours. You can bring your own food which I thought was generous, but we ordered baklava in the house and it was actually not bad for the price ($3). However, I am disappointed in my fellow Yelpers because this is NOT the greatest sheesha... it's an every day run o' the mill type of spot. The sheesha is fine, but in no way packed with flavor and smooth. My throat ached after about 20 minutes. We asked the server for his rec for the best sheesha. Every staff member you meet introduces themselves with a handshake. My first time here they acted as if I've been coming for years and I've been their best customer - truly amazing. Great hookah place. In fact, best of all the places we've tried along the Steinway strip and maybe best that queens has to offer. Staff is extremely friendly. Grapefruit top with the blue mist is my favorite. The mystery mix the guy made for us was awesome as well (nice recommendation, sir, if you are reading this). Coffee was amazing. First time having the salubh and it was great. Fresh fruit juices are a must try. Comfortable seating, not too loud music, and nice clientele, make this a really cozy hangout any time of the day...especially after midnight. I highly recommend this place! I wish this place was closer to home, but sadly we need to return home to california. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. Authentic and affordable. It's been a long time since I went somewhere and found hookahs for $10 & under. It's nice to be in a setting where everything is just chill. The wait staff collectively do a great job of looking after the customers. A guy comes around every few minutes to replace the coals. The seating arrangements are nice, good for groups. Overall, this is what I would have in mind if I wanted to get a good smoke session in - a nice cup of coffee or tea in hand, maybe a little bite to eat, and some good hookah. Was in Astoria on a whim and wanted to check out the Shish scene. I used to work in the Middle-East and it'd been a while since I had this delicacy. The service was great, and there was a good mix of local older people and younger - not too crowded or busy at 8/9 PM. They came regularly to change the coals, and there was no hassle from the staff. 2.5 stars. Better than average hookah here, service was fine and the hookah was packed well but it became obvious it hadn't been cleaned, and kept getting really harsh. I hate how so many hookah places won't take the effort to clean their hoses and pipes. Even if they change out the water all that dust and ash (and germs from the last person) is still in the hose. On weekend nights it can get too crowded. I have had two bad experiences when I come with 2-3 people. They require you to share tables with other patrons and promise to move you later on. This is one of my favorite hookah lounges in Steinway. They have a backyard so during good weather, you can sit in the back and enjoy your hookah and the food weather. Derbo and Mahmud are their best employees. They are always accommodating and if the flavor isn't right, they'll fix it immediately for you. It gets packed on weekends and game nights but they will always find a seat for you, especially if you're a regular there. Highly recommend. Just a tip, it's cash only, though they do have an ATM on the premises, so in case you don't want to walk to a bank, it's convenient. Their smoothies are also delicious! read more
