The ladies, whom works their, are as nice and sweet as you could only imagine. They have the prettiest smiles, full of joy and just special in their own way. I was promptly greeted and was in the chair in less than 10 minutes as there were many people in front of me but they had 5 ladies working which is great. The location is small yet nice. My tint looked ok when I left. The tint lasted for around 2 days which I did not expect. I wish it would've lasted longer. I wouldn't get tint from them again but I plan on going back to get my eyebrows waxed. read more

I love Jasmin. She is very talented. I try and get my henna done for after Ramadan Eid celebrations done every year if she is available. She is quick, freestyles designs and uses the dark instant kind of henna that you don't have to wait overnight for it to dry and stain. Plus she doesn't charge that much compared to other places. Her salon also threads, waxes and does lashes. I've had my eyebrows threaded and tinted by her and her staff as well and they came out great. I was looking for a place to get my brows cleaned up. I like threading, because it doesn't pull on the skin the way waxing does. Jasmine Arch is quick, cheap, and fantastic! As mentioned in previous reviews, there are only two ladies threading, but they are very quick. They missed maybe one hair, but that was a very quick fix at home, and you really can't beat the price. I have not had problems with them making my brows too thin, because I ask them not to specifically each time. They did a great job shaping and cleaning up my brows. My eyebrow situation was out of control; I needed some grooming stat. So I turned to my friend Beans to ask where I should go and she swears The Arches is the best but I was too lazy to drive to Hoover for threading. She then offered up Jasmin Arch Threading Lounge which was closer. She hadn't tried it but it looked legit. Good enough for me. I went one weekday evening (ugh, Green Springs traffic) to the Publix shopping center and lucked out since I didn't have to wait at all to be helped, and when I left, there were some ladies waiting. I didn't give the woman any instructions, and thankfully she didn't give me 1 point thick eyebrows or anything. Quick and efficient. Eyebrow threading is $10. I'm used to it being $5-6 in NYC so that was slightly painful but there aren't exactly threading salons on every block in Birmingham. And there are no punch cards either, or at least I wasn't offered one of those "the 10th threading is free" cards. Beans approved of the lady's work, so it all worked out nicely. Everyone was nice but I came in and got my eyebrows threaded and tinted and when she was done and I saw them they looked nice but when I went outside and got I'm my car in the Sun I looked a mess like an Angry bird to be exact is what my son said. I asked for a brown tint and I am fair complexion person and the tint that she did on me looks like jet black. This is so messed up because part of my Mother's Day is ruined. The arch was nice but she messed up with the tint. The was not my first time getting tint but I have never came to this location so I know how it looks when using brown this was not brown. My go to place for eyebrows! On slower days, they really take their time on your eyebrows when threading. They also really listen to you and your wants. I've only have them done my eyebrows but they have other services too such as waxing and eyelash extensions. The workers are super friendly and sweet. I recommend asking for Jasmine. Before I moved, this was always the place I used to get my eyebrows threaded. However, I will say that I was very DISAPPOINTED with the way I was treated today. I drove in from TX and stopped in Birmingham just to get my eyebrows done. I walked to the door at 7:01, and before I could even walk-in, both employees yelled out, WE'RE CLOSED! I tried to explain that their hours online show that they close at 8pm (photo attached for reference), in addition, I had driven a total of 10 hours (an extra hour out of the way) just to come get my eyebrows done. There was no apology for having the incorrect information listed, no appreciation for being a valuable customer, or anything. Instead, she argued that the hours do not show 8, it says 7. I've been coming here for three years now. It's the only place I trust with my eyebrows. To me, eyebrows make your face. Too much and you look like a wooly mammoth . Too little, and you look surprised. They do it just right. I prefer threading over waxing because it is more precise. The ladies in here do a fantastic job and I've never left here disappointed. They offer a plethora of services including: eyebrow threading and waxing, facial threading, eyelash services, arm waxing, leg waxing, henna tattoos, and Brazilians (I've had it done once here and wasn't a fan because they used strips and not hard wax). There is typically a crowd when I come here, especially on Friday and Saturday afternoons. The shop is clean, but they do double dip their waxes, so be careful if getting wax services. read more

classic services. try to avoid coming on friday/saturday as the lines can be a bit long. even when the lines are long expect to wait the max 15-20 minutes. service only takes about 6 minutes from beginning to end depending on how much you flinch. it's not my favorite task to do monthly but it's the life i choose to live since it lasts longer than waxing and doesn't give me any harsh reactions since theres no chemicals or anything involved, only thread. imagine someone pinching your arm repeatedly over and over plucking out each hair, well that's what you get when you're treating your eyebrows but if you can bear through the pain the results are worth it! read more

When I moved to BHM, finding a good place for these brows was a priority! Boy am I glad I found this place. Brows are threaded for $10 and it's a quick process. I haven't had a bad experience with any of the ladies, but I have found that one of the threaders (pronounce her name knee-Lou, not sure how to spell) is the threader for me! She does such a great job every time! I tend to go on off hours or on the weekend. Saturdays tend to be busier, obviously, but it's not a super long wait. They are efficient and do a lovely job for a really decent price. Clean, full brows, plus a tint for only $20 before tip. Only reason a star was knocked off is because they aren't as thorough as I prefer. Quick, no-fuss eyebrow threading. It's easy to make this part of your lunch routine. I waited a mere 2-3 minutes before my session, which lasted about 5. I asked for my brows to be shaped and to "keep them thick" based off other word-of-mouth reviews, and I'm glad I did. I got EXACTLY what I wanted. As a first time threader, it hurts, I'm not going to lie. It's more of a sting than waxing, and the pulling will make your eyes water. Solution: go eye makeup free the day of your service. :) I wish Jasmin's offered a loyalty program. I don't mind the $10 a pop if I get an eventual discount (like a punch card). Listen as a esthetician you must listen to your clients. When I say I do not want my eyebrows thin it means just that. If you are not sure about thickness stop and ask. If you cannot complete this task stop and ask another tech to assist the customer. I am pissed, I do not wear my eyebrows thin and the threaded chunked the base of my brow. I went there to get my lashes done on Friday. I had to remove them 2 days later because the lady used hair glue instead of eyelash glue. My eye became swollen and irritated. I did not want my eye to become infected so I remove those lashes and will never be going back to get my lashes done again. read more

The person who threaded my eyebrows did an ok job, but I noticed that they didn't look as symmetrical as they usually do post-threading.
