They RUINED the band to a point to where they said they'd have to saw off the back and redo it. BEWARE of Jared's Jewelry in Southlake - A Costly and Frustrating Experience I want to share a very disappointing experience I had with Jared's Jewelry in Southlake involving a TAG Heuer Carrera watch. I initially brought the watch in for repair. I spoke with a rather odd salesperson who told me they don't do repairs in-store, but they could send it off. I agreed, and after several months, I received a call saying the repair would cost around $1,000. I approved the repair. Months later, I picked up the watch and saved it in my safe as a graduation gift for my son. Seven months later, on the second time my son wore it (to a family dinner), the hands literally fell off the watch. I returned to Jared's, explained the situation, and was shocked when they told me there was nothing they could do to help. This was a $6,000+ watch, and I had already paid them to fix this exact problem. I insisted they send the watch back for review. Several months passed again, and they came back with a new estimate of over $600 to repair the same issue. I told them to send it back and decided to take it elsewhere. Thankfully, I found Garner Wallace Fine Timepieces & Jewelry in Keller, TX. Their team was amazing -- professional, kind, and honest. They had the watch ready in just 4 days, and when I went to pick it up, they told me, "No charge -- it was an easy fix." Unbelievable! Final Thoughts: AVOID Jared's in Southlake. Extremely kind, patient, and provide what she believed to be the best option for resizing her wedding bands and replacing a missing diamond on the engagement ring band. She was thorough, professional, kind, and had great energy. She spoke to my kiddo many times and at 16 months, he's still very shy but he smiled back each time she said something. We were quoted 24 hours. I came the next day by myself and everyone was just as nice except for an older gentleman. He gave this strange look every time we locked eyes BUT I didn't let it consume me. I have been standing in the store for 20 minutes completely being ignored. Initially, someone was "busy" with boxes and when a different sales person freed up, they went and took over with boxes and have been more or less ignoring me entirely- I guess if you're already wearing an engagement/wedding band, you're not a valued customer, only if you're shopping for one. I went to look at engagement rings with some friends, and I will totally acknowledge I was excited but definitely nervous because I hadn't looked before, and I don't tend to wear jewelry so I was nervous that I wouldn't know what to do or how to pick. It's also such a big life step to go look at rings. The woman who welcomed us in was so nice and did a lot to show me what options there are and made me feel confident I'd be able to learn what I liked. However, the person she passed us off to just really made me so sad. They kept making comments about how nervous I was and how I needed to stop being nervous and have fun. (Best way to get someone to stop being nervous is to keep telling them how nervous they are right?) They told me several times the things I wanted were wrong. I said I wanted gold prongs? "No you don't" (I understand gold can add a tinge of color as opposed to platinum. I do not care.) I said I wanted to give my boyfriend options to pick? "No you don't" I said yes I actually do. "NO you don't". I don't know why they felt the need to argue with me. They even said at one point when I mentioned not wearing jewelry, they said that for a lot of girls they've seen that don't wear jewelry it's because they haven't found someone that loved them enough to give jewelry to them. Like what?!? I told the person that wasn't true. I guess I get it was supposed to be a joke about "finding the one", but wow it hurt. This was supposed to be a fun experience and a way to figure out more of what I want, but I ended up having to go to the restroom to cry before leaving. There were a couple of other things that were said, but this gives the picture. I'm sure this person meant well and was maybe trying to be funny, but I don't appreciate being told that the things I want are wrong and that I've never been loved and that I needed to lighten up. read more

Jennifer, Victoria and Ivan solis all attended to me this was all supposed to be a 6 month inspection and small sizing down they but they messed up my ring, and it started thinning towards the bottom Victoria the so-called manager got involved not only did she lie when she would be calling me I never received a call I had to reach out myself, then Ivan Solis got involved promising me that everything would be getting taken care of my first original ring when they sized it down started thinning said they were going to remake the whole ring (which isn't what I wanted for sentimental purposes) but ended up doing it because my ring looked terrible. They called me back two days later and said my ring was done. It was not done to my liking. I gave them the example, which is the black ring shown below what it's supposed to look like it was very symmetrical, the new ring that they had given me, and lined up perfectly, not heavy hammered like the black ring so they told me they will remake it and I asked for a form of compensation anything they could do because now it'll be three times today being four times going up there Ivan had reached out to me, told me that the ring was sent out to be recasted, and made exactly like the black one, and as far as the compensation the only thing he could provide for me was a free engraving inside the ring I declined the engraving and asked if there could be any sort of in-store credit. I could shop for my wife for some thing he told me no then I asked if he could at least make the ring 14 karat. He said he would get back to me by the end of the day, never heard from him called me this morning saying, and I quote I have great news, the ring is done and we were able to make it in 14 karat. Proceeds to send me a picture and says the pictures do not do it justice but it looks exactly like the black ring when I got there. It was a completely different style so I had asked for my original messed up ring, and when he came back, he tried to give me the ring they so called remade the week prior said that was my original ring after Victoria had told me to my face that that was a completely completely new and remade ring. Ivan then proceeded to giggle in my face at the fact that nothing lined up. I just want my ring fixed the right way, and I will never be bringing my business back to Jared and Southlake. read more

My husband and I visited the Southlake store twice in one month. The first time we went about 2 weeks before Christmas and it was quite busy. But after waiting over 30 minutes without being acknowledged we left. I went home to purchase my Christmas present online instead. Today, we went back because I wanted to buy a sturdier chain for my pendant. When we arrived, there was about five customers and about 5 employees (most employees were behind the service/repair desk). There were two other customers that were looking at engagement sets and being assisted. We were told twice that somebody would be right with us. We watched several customers come in after us - most going to the service desk. After about 20 minutes, knowing we should be next based on who came in after us, one worker was walking around with a said she would be right with us. She then went to the service desk to finish up with a customer. She then looks at the customer behind the one she was assisting and told them as soon as she was done with her customer's ring she would assist the. WAIT! She just told us that less than 2 min ago! So, twice we went there to give them money for something to make us feel good and twice we were snubbed. So, if you go there, the best way to get assistance is go look at the most expensive engagement sets.... The workers will be there to show you those rings faster than a vulture on a fresh carcass! read more

The staff is amazing at this store. My fiancée had a car paint pen explode in her hands while wearing her engagement ring and black car paint literally covered the entire ring. We quickly washed it as well as we could but it still had paint all over it. I ran it down to this Jared location and was helped immediately and they quickly assured me they'd take care of it and get it cleaned up. They went to work cleaning it right away and kept updating me on the progress while I waited. After only about a 20-30 minutes they had the ring ready to go and it looks brand new again and didn't charge me anything for the cleaning. This experience could not have been better. I visited this location twice during the holidays. My first visit was December 23, and I purchased a Pandora bracelet for my wife for Christmas. On that visit the store was quite busy but staffed perfectly to handle the rush. I was served quickly by a very knowledgeable staff member. Had I written my review then, they would have received 5 stars. I returned on December 27 to purchase a charm to add to the bracelet for our 23rd anniversary. The store wasn't busy at all, but customers were standing around waiting to be served. I finally left, returning later to try again only to have the exact same experience. Had this been my first visit to this store, I wouldn't return and this would be a rare 1-star review. I can't speak to the sales department but I'm beyond frustrated with the repair process. There is an issue literally every time I bring my engagement ring in for check ups and repairs when a stone fell off the band. The person helping us always seems to be confused and has had tech issues and has to go back and forth with the manager for various reasons. I don't understand why I have to go through this process every time. It seems like such an easy repair to log but I dread having to deal with this. Run from this business establishment. Friendly greeting to lure you in to make a sale. Follow up service is not handled so nicely. Not sure the workers doing the repairs and sizing are proficient. Beware! Bought a man's wedding band but needed it sized. Clerk (did not reveal being a trainee) rang up sale and said it would be ready the same evening at 7 pm. We were so excited! We left the store and were contacted shortly by trainee employee telling us she goofed on price. Told us there would be a sizing charge when we returned. At 7 we returned. A gabby clerk jumped to get our ring. We noticed the employee who sold us the ring still working but not acknowledging us. Sure is odd she didn't want to make sure our special wedding band was exactly what we were expecting and we were satisfied customers. Isn't that what good salespeople do? Gabby gal pulls ring out of plastic bag and hands it to us. Poor presentation. Instantly we knew it was not our ring. Gal zooms away "to find" correct ring. Comes back with same ring. We were less than thrilled with the mistake and trainee avoidance and ring not ready. We asked to speak to manager. She appeared and said she would not charge us for the sizing (trainee error). She got involved with the ring problem. We were told to wait while the worker reworked the ring ?? Happy feeling of wedding ring gift dwindling. Circus environment as they tried to explain mistake. Ring still not ready. Hmmm. Do we want a reworked ring done hastily? Future repairs wanted in this store? No. Cancelled the order and left with no ring. Our special event evening was ruined. DO NOT take your jewlery here for repair!! I wanted to give 0 stars, but this app wouldn't let me. I dropped my husband's Movado watch off for repair two weeks before Christmas. He got it from my Mom who died from cancer several years ago, so it's literally invaluable. Got a call saying it was ready the first Friday of the New Year. My husband & I go pick it up and they couldn't find it. They searched the store for 30 mins and did not find it. Apology after apology, but no watch. Then the guy checks the system to see that it was still out for estimates and it would be another week. The following week I get another call saying it was ready. I swing by the store again & still no watch. I stood there for 40 minutes while they searched the store for my watch. They finally find it and promise it will be ready in a week. Against my better judgement, I agree. Two weeks go by and no one calls. I just called and the guy tells me he can't find my husband's watch!!! What the hell! I demanded to speak to the manager and then the guys says he'll have him call me back in 15 mins. Well 40 mins go by & I finally call them and speak to the manager Reggie who tells me the watch is ready. No apologies, no compensation for the inconvenience, nothing. Worst customer service & even worse organizational system for the repair shop. NO ONE knew what was going on at any given moment and now I'm praying now the watch repair actually holds up. read more

I bought my engagement ring there. My fiancé and I went back to get his ring and I have never experienced such bad service. It was busy which I understand but there was employee who just started who kept seeming to purposefully overlook us. I had to ask for help as she walked by us. The service was so great I returned within the same month to buy a Bulova watch and a new pair of earrings.I had initially bought a watch wore it for a day and decided that I didn't like it and they took it back no question. They used to have lifetime battery replacement for watches - went in this past weekend and was told they couldn't "find" me so they couldn't do this. Also, took a ring (my great grandmothers) for repair and they couldn't do it in house so they sent it out and then called me 3 weeks later saying they couldn't fix it. When I picked it up, they just handed it to me...no checks to make sure it was still the same ring they sent off and when I asked for this, they seemed put out by the requests. I'm sorry, but you had my ring for 3 weeks - it is not unreasonable to ensure it is the same one with the same diamonds that I left with them. I will never go back to Jared again. read more
