The food is some of the most authentic Pakistani cuisine I've had anywhere in New York, from the naan to the saag. If you're missing home, this restaurant is truly an experience. Don't get me wrong--the food is rich, generously cooked with oil, and probably not the healthiest option, but that's part of what makes Pakistani food so comforting and authentic. There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot to visit with family. There's almost always a line, but that's a good sign and a testament to how great the food is. The service is solid--they make sure you get what you need. The ambience is simple and functional, especially for a packed restaurant, but the focus here is clearly on the food. If you're craving real Pakistani flavors, this place is worth the visit.

I love tasting new restaurants and wanted to stop by this place . Fantastic location . Right in the heart of Lexington Avenue . Lots of other restaurants nearby. Lots of space inside to sit and eat . Even though the ambience is not that great , it's ok for a quick lunch .. service could be better. All guys go inside the kitchen and hardly come out . Wish they had a bell or something in the counter outside for the customers to call them . Sometimes you keep waiting for many minutes before they come out . For the price , food was good . They have many food items on display and we chose some curries .. quantity was good . Naan , white rice and 2 non veg curries for 13.50$. Not bad. ... goat curry was good . Perfect Lahori taste . Chicken curry was average . Could have tasted better . My only issue is presentation. The y just mix all curries in rice and they are smashed all across the plate . Wish they give these curries in separate containers so we can enjoy the flavor of each curries . Another thing is they just reheat these curries . They are precooked . Sometimes with that , we wouldn't know if it is fresh . It tasted fresh though. Overall a good restaurant but giving them 3 stars . Will visit again and check and improve my ratings if needed

The Jani Burger was amazing, perfectly cooked, with great pakistani flavor, and it was refreshing not to have a smash burger for once. The lamb chops were also cooked to perfection, perfect medium rare, super tender and very flavorful. The Nihari sandwich was also great, however I wish there was a little more unique flavor to it. The masala fries are alright, but I'd say you can skip those. On top of the great food, this service was even better. The staff was so friendly, checking in on us and even offering us a free mango lassi drink. The restaurant itself is comfortably casual with heat lamps inside, which is nice to have on a cold day, I imagine. i definitely recommend!

Not sure this place is it for me. Came in on a Sunday and the house was packed so my wife and I…read moreordered takeout. Took about 15min or so to get which was fine. We at this on the sidewalk so it was still fresh when we got it. But for us the food just didn't hit. I recognize it's fusion, but maybe the way things were meant to be balanced didn't mesh. The (impossible burger patty) lahori felt quite bland. Maybe because the burger patty was so thick, but it just kind of was overwhelmed by generic beef patty taste which wasn't what I was expecting. The nihari had some really good flavor, but I found the bread was somehow both quite dry and soggy at the same time. It's hard to describe, but I felt like it was working against the actual nihari flavor. Sadly I do think something like naan or basmati rice would've been better. The fries were pretty unremarkable, too. Just tasted like fries you'd get at your local bodega. I don't expect the wheel to be reinvented when it comes to fusion restaurants, but I just felt nothing actually balanced themselves well (at least for what we ordered). For $50 pre-tip, I'm a bit disappointed. This place has been on my hit list for a while, but I can't see myself wanting to go back. Staff was friendly and the space, albeit small, can fit groups of 2-4 pretty easily. I have a few friends that really like this place, so maybe I'm just the odd one out.

Took me back to my roots in Lahore, Pakistan and was overall a 10/10 experience with the amazing and hospitable service they gave me and accommodate us quick while being so busy. The food had to be top tier too we tried their chicken Karahi, gol gappay, mojitos, butter chcicken mix grill and varieties of naan and it all tasted so delicious I even packed 2 bags of takeout for the week! Also they were so kind to give me kitchen access so I can film videos and got a few very nice shots of food/ambiance/and vibes with my camera. The interior is also very well decorated to match the city of Lahore which topped it all off. Honestly this had to be my favorite Pakistani restaurant in all of NJ and I'll definitely be back with more friends and family!!!

The workers are friendly and patient. They graciously gave us a curry we considered in addition to…read moreour actual order. They also let us have a small pani puri (6 pieces) order instead of a regular full order (approximately 20 pieces). Curries are rich and pair well with garlic naan, which is heavily infused with garlic bits. I do wish the pani puri puffs are crispier. They were soggy by the time it arrived at our table. I would recommend the potato samosa more than the meat samosa because the potato filling is more moist and flavorful. Both samosas had a fluffy/soft skin though, and I do prefer a thick/crunchy skin. The huge dessert selection impressed me. The tres leches cake in particular is a fun twist on the Latin sweet, using a caramelized glazed on top. The rice pudding is delicious as well. Opens until 4am, so it's a nice solve for late night eats. Food is 3 stars, but I'm rating 4 stars after considering service and overall convenience.

The gola kabab, especially when paired with its accompanying onions and light green sauce, is a tasty appetizer, but it unfortunately gets overshadowed by the rest of our experience. I usually finish all my food, but the halwa puri was an exception. A piney-oil taste unfortunately overpowers every element in this dish. In retrospect, I believe it should have come with a curry on the side as well, so we missed that. The butter chicken has a tomato-based flavor palette, but I wished there is more curry sauce. This may be personal preference, but it felt like a saucy stir-fry vs a curry. Lastly, I don't understand why the food takes long to arrive at tables considering most of the food is just sitting in display, only needing to be reheated.

The area is swamped with Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Pakistani and indian food and shops, and if you are out with a family, this may not be the place to go as there is absolutely no seating in there. This is strictly a take out place. The food is delicious, specially the chicken kababs. Their Haleem and Nihari also is probably the best in the area. The first time, I just walked in by accident just to see what this place was. After having a conversation with their main chef, he tempted me to try their Haleem as a taste test and the rest is history. From there on, whenever I am in Jackson heights, I pick up food from here. The cuisine and style is mostly from Karachi, the spice level is a bit on the higher side, but if you really want to exercise your taste buds, this is the place to go. Downside: Parking is tough in that neighborhood as it is so crowded. You may have to circle around to find parking at a bit distant.
