Whoopie Pie Sundae
Matthew V.

A common place for our "New England Riders" to meet up for good food and ice cream. I've visited many times over the years and keep coming back for more :) The parking is a little interesting when a dozen or so of us on bikes show up, but there's plenty of street parking also. Tonight they had live music playing which is always fun. The food doesn't take long considering how busy they get. Fried calamari was really good tonight. The BBQ burger was cooked perfectly and stacked high with onion rings. Messy in a good way :) At least 4 of us in the group got the whoopie pie sundae tonight and it was really good. I really like whoopie pies, particularly Wicked Whoopie pies. These ones were great! Recently repaved the parking lot is easy to navigate for motorcycles. Thanks for the years of good food and ice cream and entertainment.

Lobster roll with the macaroni salad

Such a great little spot, tucked away off of the main road. The day I went, they had a live band, shaded tables and just good energy from the crowd all around. Prices seem very fair to me for the portions I received. I'm all about supporting local, small business...especially when the food is good! I ordered the lobster roll, plenty of delicious meat on it! The clam fritters were a bit overcooked and really chewy. Onion rings were very good and their banana splits, just like I remembered as a child!

Traveling a bit out of the way after our hike at the Quabbin, we decided to try this famous frosty place. While I didn't have a Frostee, probably because it felt a bit indulgent, they did have both hard and soft ice cream and lots of great flavors that would appeal to anybody looking for a treat. The lines were very well organized, and we had no problems getting through the line quickly. The pull off is a bit tricky so pay attention when you go to get there. Yes, if you do not see Parking in the lot, do park on the road. Just be careful because there is traffic that drive-by on this little pull off. I would recommend a cup if you get soft serve, because it is a bit melty. There are nice picnic tables set up under a tent which do help. I would definitely recommend trying to frosty even if I did not have it at this time. Enjoy!

Always a good time going to Janine's, but most of what I've had there over the years is just frozen food thrown in a deep fryer.

They have Gifford's Ice Cream, but some specialty flavors are from Bliss Ice Cream, and I LOVE BLISS!

Besides Hannah Devine's on Main, Mimi's CoffeeHouse of Hardwick, and possibly Janine's Frosty down…read morethe street, you're going to want to make Crystal Springs a destination restaurant diner for your daytime brunch or breakfast needs, plus milkshakes and ice cream. Crystal Springs brings a consistency of food quality, time, and care that has kept the restaurant in good hands in the last decades. Walk in and walk beside the bar, noting the diner is cash only, and into the two booth sections near the back so that your waitstaff can have easy access to take your order. The diner, near the back, updates specials and has a few consistent winners that keep recurring. The wall opposite your entry has a wall with a blown up photographed depiction of the town of Ware from the air many decades ago. One of the pluses of this all-day breakfast diner is that they also are a dairy bar, serving ice cream and milkshakes specifically. Expect Crystal Springs to be busy with locals and other out of town travelers at the corner of the plaza strip they're located at. They're near a busy entrance and exit way, and there's parking near enough to that ingress to be mindful of. Thank you for many meals, Crystal Springs, and I hope I find great photos I took of your diner one day to fit a review for a staff as reliable at 5am as you'd want in a diner.

This little resto is a hidden gem that packs a lot of surprises. Who would have guessed that a man…read morefrom Egypt would have chosen Ware MA to set up a kitchen/business. But Yasser has and we are so grateful that he did. His cultural take and techniques when applied to some of the American diner classics makes one sit up and take notice. I think we can all agree the fried fish sandwich and fish and Chips is a New England classic. Imo, Yasser's fishfry technique and eerily light coating is truly something special; you will be hard pressed to find a better fried product anywhere. I'm not gonna tell you much, other than give this place a try and discover for yourself what hidden treasures this little restaurant holds.

It was amazing. We normally go to another ice cream place up the street but they've closed early…read moretoday so we put in our Yelp app looking for ice cream and it came up with this ice cream place. Everyone was super nice when we got into the parking lot. We only had like seven minutes left to get an ice cream but the line was way out the parking lot. So we had to wait obviously I think I waited in line maybe 10 minutes cause I got in line at like five minutes of eight and was done with it about 10 after so a little bit more than 10 minutes. They were kind friendly explained the flavors. The people in line was super nice. They make all their own ice cream. The girl told me that she said if you'd like to go outback, she said behind the building and you can meet the cows and provide the milk for your ice cream. I thought that was very nice. You were able to get a single scoop is 395 or a double scoop of one or two flavors is 495 so we got a two scoop of ice cream in a cup for 495 it was simple enough for the both of us to scoops were really nice not not small and not super big average but they were delicious. And then like I said it was just a really great experience the night's warm so it was a good ending to a nice day. We're definitely coming back here again.

My family and I have been here many, many times. There are other farms in the area that also do ice…read morecream but nobody does it quite like Flayvors. My favorites are Inez (coconut, almond, and chocolate) and also the blackberry chocolate chip. You can see the cows on the farm, they even have a take one/ leave one book station, but nothing beats the view of Mt Tom off in the distance while you're eating your ice cream.
