I knew I didn't want to spend a crazy amount of money on my wedding dress, just enough to make me feel amazing the day of. I loved that it felt exclusive as it's a small store that only has 2 fitting rooms. It was just us and extremely peaceful. Erika was the associate who helped me. She made me feel super comfortable and asked what I liked and didn't like of the dresses my mom and I picked. She even picked some herself! All the dresses were beautiful so I wish I had more than 1 wedding LOL. They had a July sale in which every dress was 25% off! That's a STEAL! I'm so happy I went to Elle Mae vs. a different store in the greater Houston area. It was all I wanted and more. Notes: -There's only 6 people allowed with you. Bring people who won't give their opinions as you can easily fall into trying to people please instead of picking something YOU love. -The storefront can be easily missed since there's only a chalkboard sign out front. -Parking can also be confusing since there's a gate, but you can park in front of it. -Different payment options are available depending on your needs! For my appointment I found the assistant very helpful and honest about what she thought. She told me she wouldn't sell me a dress I didn't look great in and when I tried on one dress she politely told me this wasn't the dress for me. When I did try on "the one" she let me really dwell on my decision while wearing the dress to make sure I was sure. I really liked that. I didn't feel rushed or pressured and even when I felt like I was sure she waited until I was satisfied before grabbing the veil. Now its been six months and I'm still totally sold on this dress. I had a great experience here, loved the beautiful store and I am now recommending this place to another coworker who just got engaged!

Initially, when I brought the dress in they were all very nice to me. Monica saw my Jimmy choos and was very friendly and wouldn't stop talking about my shoes. However, as time went on and I asked to wear my wedding dress the second time when I went to pick it up and it was already steamed their tone completely changed. I had bought an off shoulder dress from this place in Old Town Spring who said Monica will be able to help me but look at the dress. What dress I bought and how I had to wear it for my wedding. The dress was supposed to be off shoulder and I just wanted to cover my arms a little bit but they told me there was no option to do that. The seller told me Monica could do that for me. Too late to return the dress so my vision was completely ruined. They didn't put in a boning in my tummy area and they claimed they did. My friend who knows sewing was with me and she had them completely take the dress apart in the tummy and guess what? There was no boning. They refunded me $80/90. When I told them it's not holding my tummy in how a corset would, they told me that's just your tummy. I'm a 170 lbs size 12 person. I'm not skinny but mind you a corset is supposed to snatch my waist. My friend was appalled by the way their faces changed when i asked to put the dress on after alteration was completed before he boning issue was discovered. They expected me to not to try my wedding dress on after I paid 900?? The bustle was also done bad so I had the train drag all night. Just very disappointed. The setting was luxury but the service wasn't at all. I have high standards when it comes to service so may be other people would be ok with this service but I wasn't. They stopped smiling at me and paid 0 attention once I asked to put the dress on after it was steamed. I'm writing this at 4 am in the morning because this thing haunts me every day.... Typically for the level of alterations I needed it would have taken well over a month and the cost would have been exuberant due to the timing. But Ms. Silvia gave me a good, fair price and not only did everything I needed, but she went above and beyond to make sure the dress secured "the ladies" but still looked beautiful. But hell.. their marketing worked, because the one and only wedding dress shop I went to was Milenas. I brought an entourage of characters from the sassy best friend to the grumpy grandma and our stylist handled it with ease. I tried on dresses that everyone picked, probably around 10 dresses. Our stylist was SO patient with a surround sound of input from my guests. Finally we found the gown. It was originally too full for my liking, but they gladly offered alterations which means they took 2-3 layers of the skirt out of the original design. It was white overlay with a grey underlay that fit well with my age and that it was my second wedding. It was gorgeous. It stunned my entire entourage. Even grumpy granny was beyond pleased. It took 6 months to make because it was handmade in Italy but worth every moment waiting for it. When I walked down the aisle my husband gasped and our parents cried. It was my moment and I lived it to the fullest. This style is discontinued but I highly recommend them for any boho unconventional wedding gown. They had everything to fit any ethereal dream. She will also help you customize the dress if you need. I added a panel to my dress so it wasn't sheer and also customized my veil to match the lace of my dress! So first, let's start with the positives: Making the appointment was fairly easy, the boutique was very cute and I enjoyed the one on one experience. I appreciate the intent of Olivia's to honor curves and carry exclusively plus sized gowns. I was a little nervous to go dress shopping, as a woman with a full bust, so I was excited to know that the gowns I'd be trying here would fit. And for the most part, they did. Nicole was nice enough, but not overly friendly or excited. To me, it felt like I was just another bride and appointment to get through before she could go home. That may not be what she was feeling, but my family and I all separately felt that from her. Before the appointment started, I was asked to read and sign a one-page, front and back document, explaining all of their rules. I get why they do this, and, as a former bridal consultant, I'm aware of what customers can sometimes pull, but it ruined the mood to start an appointment with signing a contract like that. And since Nicole wasn't that warm or welcoming to begin with, I definitely didn't feel special or like what was about to happen was going to be fun or empowering. I explained to her what I was looking for and she pulled a three options. I didn't end up loving any of them after trying them on, so she went back and grabbed two more, with one more that I wanted to try. I liked it on, but I couldn't take a picture of it. I understand private labels don't want people posting images of their designs, but why not include an NDA in the list of rules you had me sign so I can take a quick picture just to remember what it looks like? I can GUARANTEE they are missing out on sales because after you go to two or three appointments, and try on 10-20 gowns, it's impossible to remember exactly what one dress looked like from your first outing. If you can't compare them, it's unlikely you're going to chose the one you don't have a photo of. After I tried on the one gown I liked, Nicole said she didn't have anything else that she thought I'd like. The dresses aren't out for you to browse so I had to take her word on it. I showed her photos from their Instagram account and she said she didn't have any of them in store. She said they may get more inventory early next year, but that doesn't help me now. Her attitude really felt like she just wanted me to leave. So after about 35-40 minutes, I left. It costs $35 to make an appointment and even if you show up, you only get your money back if you buy a dress same day. I came into my appointment knowing I wouldn't be getting my money back, but also assuming I'd be able to try on a few more than four dresses. I really feel like I got jipped out of my money. $35 for an apathetic attitude, four gowns, and an "I'm sorry I don't have anything you'll like" after advertising multiple things on Instagram that you don't carry, nowhere stating that they're a part of a trunk show? Personally, I don't think coming here is worth it. You can go plenty of places and get a better experience without a deposit. And again, I know what some customers can pull, so I get a deposit to keep your spot, that they could keep if you don't show up, but why not refund the ones who do? Especially when you're the one claiming you have nothing for me? All that to say, I wasn't going to leave any kind of review and I chalked it up to a bad day on her part. But this morning, I got this text from her. Needless to say, I think our conversation speaks for itself. After all that happened, you're trying to gaslight me by saying "I had a different experience than you remember"? It's unprofessional, pushy and just screams that you want to make a sale and don't really care about my wedding, my experience or anything else but my money. I went to Unbridaled and found my gown. Even though it was too small for me to try on, I said yes because they were so friendly, positive and helpful. I love the mission of this boutique but the intention gets lost in translation.
