This year has been extra challenging for me healthwise. Aside from my pre-existing health conditions, I was diagnosed just this year with vertigo (BPPV), initial stage of cataract, and I had several oral health issues that had to be addressed, some of which are not covered by insurance. With all these things going on or compounding, it can be overwhelming. Plus the fact that you have to consider out-of-pocket expenses. That is why, it is truly important to find a good healthcare provider who provides compassionate care to their patients and one who is cost-effective if you have a share of cost. That is why, I am truly grateful to Dr. Jane Zarate. She is out-of-network for our family's dental insurance that is why if we have some dental procedures which we have to pay, we will go out of our way to visit her for consultation even if Santa Clara is a 6-hr drive from LA. It is because Dr.Jane explains thoroughly to her patients' their condition and provides different treatment options which will allow you to make an informed decision. It is not easy to make a long review but I think this is just a small gesture to help other patients too when researching where to go to. Since I am that kind of person too, I check reviews in order to make sure that it is not a waste of time and money. 2 of my old dental bridges were problematic--1 fell off this October and this one was not retreatable since the abutment is severely infected. For the other dental bridge, from teeth 9-11, I went to Dr. Jane yesterday for a second opinion since I was informed by another dentist that it needs replacement plus retreatment with metal post and Dr. Jane gave me a thorough explanation and showed me my dental x-rays for teeth 9-11 as to why there is no need to have a retreatment with a metal post for teeth 9 and 11. She also made a beautiful temporary dental bridge from teeth 9-12 which is a relief since the missing tooth 12 is pretty obvious when smiling. I really appreaciate Dr. Jane's concern and effort when treating her patients, which I find rare because normally some dentists that I have encountered would not spend much time to just make temps or temporary bridges. But for her, she made sure that eventhough it is just a temp bridge that it is still comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Also, she gave me a more reasonable price for this 4-unit dental bridge. It is rare nowadays to find compassionate care at a reasonable or cost-effective price. And patients are already suffering when they are sick or not feeling well plus the fact that finances are another big concern ---that is why it is important to find a good doctor or dentist who is not just going to treat you like a number but someone who has true concern for your individual needs. We had such a wonderful experience at Dr. Jane Kenneth dental clinic with my whole family especially my kids (11 y.o and 4 y.o ) they both have series of filling and one tooth extraction done by Dr.JK. She have very gentle hands and so much care doing her craft! That my 11y.o said he didn't felt any pain during his tooth extraction. She always explains ahead of time in a way my kids understand and making them feel calm and safe throughout the procedure. The dentist is usually my worst nightmare, not even exaggerating. I've always been afraid of them since my childhood, to the point where I've been literally dragged in the exam chair before lol. Took my 3 year old and my 4 year old here for the first time to get their cleaning done while thinking that my 3 year old won't sit still...but Dr. Jane and her staff changed that mindset of mine!! This is my second dentist in the bay, and I couldn't be more satisfied than ever. It's not difficult for me to set-up an appointment in here as they try their best to give me a schedule that I am available. I also love the fact that the facility is well-maintained, clean and fresh (because of the air purifiers). The front desk person named Jessie always greets you with a warm welcome and a cheerful personality, and she provides a quality customer service. Dr. Lidia and Dr. Jane are very thorough in their procedures, assessments and answers all questions you'll have for them. I also appreciate when they show you before and after photos of the site and then outcome of the procedure(s) that was done. I never had that done in my prior dentist for years. I really appreciate when they take their time explaining how, what, when and why "things" happen, and the very important part, is when they always promote preventative measures. Overall, the facility and its people are great! They have a warm and welcoming atmosphere that does not even feel like a clinic. Upon entering Dr. Zarate's clinic, she was instantly the most meticulous dentist I have ever had. She's very straight to the point, explains what needs to be done in a kind manner, and is efficient in her practice. The clinic got a major facelift once she took over this place. Everything looks much cleaner, and they've installed new technology to make the appointments run more smoothly. Also, with COVID, the staff takes extra precaution to ensure everyone's safety. Her staff is also very kind! The receptionist Jessie, always reminds you about your next appointment with a text or phone call, which is helpful in case you forget.
