Came across this place on ubereats and gave it a shot based on the reviews that are here. While i didn't get to try any of the treats personally the recipient was complimentary of the freshness & flavours! they also mentioned how well the box was packaged. Definitely made their day, which made my day easier!

As soon as you enter, you will see all the cute and delicious looking desserts they offer like macarons, cookies, mini donuts, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. The three of us chose the $30 high tea menu for today. I ordered the Sloan heavenly cream tea which was definitely heavenly and creamy. My friends got the peaches and cream and jasmine pink lemonade tea's. Everyone enjoyed their chosen tea. When the savoury and sweet stand came out, we all had to take photos first since the camera eats first ;). All the food that we had were delicious! I think it's the best out of the other high tea places I've been to. We finished off by having the desserts which were disappointing compared to the food. The pink macaron I had was overly sweet and the shell was dense. I also didn't like the mini donut as it was overly sweet. My friends tried the truffles and it didn't seem like they really liked it. Overall, the experience, atmosphere, and food were great! Dessert was not that great. We didn't buy any desserts at the front of the shop so not sure if they would be good or overly sweet like the ones in the high tea menu.

I'm not sure if you could choose what cupcakes came or if they had prepared boxes to choose from, but mine had 6 pairs of unique cupcakes (see picture for details). The cupcakes were not too sweet, which was nice as I sometimes feel I'm just eating sugar and nothing else (they were still sweet of course....just not SUPER sweet). The cream part seemed to be made of buttercream, and the dough part was also light. I liked the variety of options they had, and the cream part was designed very prettily with a flower motif. I haven't dealt with the customer service or looked at the costs, so I'm not sure how comparable it is to other places (my friends did all that...I just ate it :P) But if you like cupcakes, I would say to try it out.

I decided to get a Ferrero rocher macaron and a vanilla cupcake. I usually get a vanilla macaron as a tester but the Ferrero rocher flavour was interesting to me. The macaron was really good. Unfortunately I didn't get to fully enjoy it, as I was eating it outside in the heat and the chocolate and filling were melting rapidly. Even still, it was delicious. I definitely want to go back to try more flavours. The vanilla cupcake was good but not the best I've ever had. The cake was a little too dense for my liking but it wasn't horrible. I will come back to try the red velvet as that's the second flavour I usually try to judge a place on their cupcakes. Can't wait to come back! Wish they had later hours!

My understanding is that the hardest part of making a macaron is the cookie shell, and these are wonderful. The texture and flavor is just right. The lavender did not make me think of soap initially. The violet absolutely did. That's not a strike against them. Those notes are just so popular in soap, it's an automatic association. The same is true of rose, but it's so often used in drinks and foods that it's not as jarring. The problem I had with these macarons is the filling, and it's probably such an easy fix. It's just too sweet and somehow when combined with the floral flavors, I could swear I had the actual mouth feel of soap by the time I'd eaten all three, like a faint burning on my tongue. I'd definitely recommend the rose lychee, and maybe doing a mix of flavors instead of all floral or having just one at a time. Macarons are 50 cents than the other patisserie I tried (Nadege) during my trip, but still competitively priced.

I looked at this booth's sign that was across from Rocky Mountain Chocolate. Ela's Macarons. OMG! Macarons. Yes! I have been on a macaron quest for at least a couple of months. I looked at all the pretty-coloured macarons in the display case. The flavours were cool. I had to have some. I got a box of six for $15. It's a decent price for them. Behind the counter was a lovely woman who said hi to me. I reciprocated. I let her know that I'd like a box of six macarons. She nodded and we both headed over to the macaron display case for me to select flavours. I went with the following macarons: - Bubble gum - Cranberry orange - Strawberry cream - Tiramisu - Cotton candy - Red velvet I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She asked me if I needed a bag. I declined and got my goodies in a festive red box. I thanked her and headed to my car. When I got home, I tried a couple. I was done eating all macarons in 24 hours. I loved them all. The bubble gum and cotton candy threw me back to being at The Ex. They tasted like the confections. I liked the cookie part of the macaron. They were crispier than most that I've had. The interior was chewy. Excellent! The tiramisu and strawberry cream were delicious. It was like having a strawberry milkshake with the best tiramisu. The red velvet and cranberry orange were yummy. The red velvet was subtle, but delicious. The cranberry orange was citrusy and tangy. So good! I passed by this place yesterday. It was super busy. I had bought a caramel apple from Rocky Mountain. Had I not made this purchase, I would have got more macarons and some gelato. I love Ela's Macarons. It was an excellent find. (464)

I follow them on IG and noticed they were having a sale so I put in an order for twelve. In the box, the flavours I chose were: pistachio, birthday cake, toasted coconut, chocolate hazelnut, cotton candy, pink champagne, salted caramel, lemon meringue, tiramisu, mango passionfruit and bubblegum. Salted Caramel - decent Pink Champagne - too sweet but was very fresh when I cut into it. Cotton Candy - my favourite flavour hands down. Toasted Coconut was very tasty - had a light and fluffy cream. Could taste the coconut but it was also very sweet. Lemon Meringue - really good when cold. Hint of lemon. Bubble gum - so yummy!! Had it cold too. Bit right into it and it flaked everywhere. The flavour was delicious though I was left with blue lips and tongue. Mango Passionfruit - so so good. Enjoyed it! Pistachio - another good one. Nutty. Tiramisu - would've paired well with coffee as it had a subtle coffee flavour to it. Birthday Cake was also good but very sweet. And the chocolate hazelnut was okay. I halved the macarons to be able to sample them and ended up trying three flavours on the day I bought them and eating three more on the last day before polishing them off. They're rich in ingredients and taste. They're pretty costly but worth trying at least once. They came in a pretty box too.

Upon entering, I noticed that the store didn't have your traditional display of the macarons and cakes. It was just a glass display of takeout boxes. Their menu showed options for buying assorted macarons or donuts at either half dozen or a dozen. The menu didn't show flavours either. Since it was my first time trying, I just went with the 6 piece assorted macaron for $15 which seems to be pretty good pricing compared to other French macaron places. I was in a rush to make it to an appointment, so I didn't ask for the flavours since I'm assuming there would be a slip in the box. As I was paying, the worker there mentioned that I needed to wait at least 30 minutes for the macarons to thaw to room temp before eating. In my head, I was like,'These are frozen?!' I never got frozen macarons before ever when buying them at a store, and I was now super skeptical. As instructed, I waited actually a couple of hours before trying them to make sure they were fully at room temperature. I opened up the packaging, and the macarons were laid out nicely, but no slip with the flavours. I was disappointed because now I have no idea what the flavours are and have to guess. The only distinct one I can taste is the chocolate and lime, and that's about it. The other 4 tasted exactly the same. The most disappointing part is that the macaron shell would shatter into pieces even when I'm just gently picking it up to take a bite. It left a huge mess eating each macaron, and I didn't get to really taste the shell with the filling because of this. Overall, I was so sad and disappointed at the macarons from this place and will not be revisting.
