I created an "account" and then she also did my eyebrows. I did not have an appointment, they were able to accommodate a walk in. I like that eyebrows are plucked here, instead of threaded or waxed - seemed like less of a risk to make a big mistake. It did not hurt at all and I was very comfortable throughout it all since its in a reclining chair. After about 10 minutes, the service was complete. I paid $28 at their front desk, and was on my way. It is on the expensive side, but I think for the quality of work, it is worth it. I also find that the hair grows back slower which can be good if you don't want to pay so frequently. The salon was very clean, very quiet which fostered a relaxing environment, and they offer a lot more services.

So, right after the reel ended, I looked at the clock and saw it was midnight; went to the website and booked an appointment for later that day. Spontaneous!? Sure. More so I wanted to support a small business! I booked a 90-minute scalp massage! I wasn't exactly sure where I was going, since I've only been in the Boston area for a few months, BUT I went. The website said it's by Nordstrom, but that's no longer in the South Shore Mall - it's really on the second floor towards where a bigger DSG is going. Anyway, once I found it, I walked in to a very kind receptionist who checked me in and gave me paperwork to fill out. The ambiance is surreal - you're taken immediately into a cherry blossom hallway with music that is soft and melodic. It is quiet, despite being in a mall, and feels very calming. The spa rooms are very small, but also very soothing with dim lighting, a tube top satin cover for your top half, a pillow for knee support (you lie supine), and a cute little Lilly pad with a blossom adorning the massage table. The scalp massage alone is worth it, but it's also a shoulder, arm, and (with the 90 minute) a mini back massage. The oils used were so calming - maybe peppermint or eucalyptus, I'm not sure, but they were so lux! I have to admit, this was a "spur of the moment" booking, but a treat I really needed. I cried a little bit during the head massage because I realized how good it felt to pamper yourself - if even for just 90 minutes. They are incredibly considerate, accommodating, and kind in this spa. It's a nice way to ground yourself and just come back you your center after a tough day/week/month - or in my case, two years! Make the appointment! Get the scalp massage or just a regular massage, but - always love yourself more and enough to take the time to do something for you! My manicure ($15) was alright, I showed a design (the tips to be glittered only) but the manicurist did not know how to do the design that I showed. But it's alright since it was a regular manicure and not gel.
