The Jazz
Ashley A.

Went to get a live scan at the business next door and saw the advertisement at the counter so I decided to check it out. The worker was really patient with me since it was my first time coming in. I got the The Jazz with vanilla ice cream on the red velvet and it was really good! The cake was really moist and delicious. I will be sure to swing by again!

Just wrapped up another Friendsgiving celebration and was in the mood for ice cream. Yelp to the rescued, Jamz caught my eye due to the reviews and the cool spelling of the name. We arrived and met Jay, who we would to learn is the owner. Nice and friendly, Jay shared that Jamz makes all their own ice creams and who doesn't love small batch ice cream! I ordered black walnut, chocolate brownie and I believe a salted caramel flavor. My absolute favorite was the caramel, followed by the chocolate brownie. Nice cool vibe at Jamz, good service, Jay let us try and few flavors before we made our selections. Support this local business. We'll see you next trip, Jay!

Pecan Praline

This is a really chill ice cream shop. They have great music playing in the store. I heard a mix of UK hip-hop, reggaeton, and US hip-hop while enjoying my ice cream. There are some really cool flavors beyond chocolate and vanilla. I had the pecan praline on a waffle cone. There were obviously chunks of pecan with chunks of pralines, but there was also maybe caramel? Very interesting ice cream. The service was fast, and everyone is kind. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Mango and Cookie Monster

Tanya was amazing and recommended some great flavors! I got the mango ice cream and my some got the Cookie Monster. Both were delicious and creamy. Great prices all throughout. Can't wait to come back!

Black walnut, chocolate fudge and lemon sherbet

This place takes me back to when my grandparents would make ice cream on the back porch for my birthday... as they added the rock salt to the tub and hand churned until the ice cream was ready. The flavors here are phenomenal. I had not seen black walnut in ages! and there is a lemon sherbet that is absolutely Divine. Even the kids said, Oh my goodness this is way better than 31 flavors! And it's topped off with wonderful service!

Jamz creamery has been high on my list for quite some time. It's located on Manchester Ave. near market street. The ice cream parlor is black owned and has a variety of flavors to choose from. They have blast from the past ice cream recipes like Banana Splits and vintage Sundaes. The staff were very nice and inviting, it seems like they really enjoy their customers and get to know everyone. They took a photo of my son enjoying his kids sundae. They have a new consistent customer in me and my family for sure!

This is the place.!

First, damn good ice cream. Lots of selections. Its a small cute little shop. If you arent lookin for it you could miss it. The guy inside was really nice and very accommodating. Parking not the best but i walked over to it and it was worth it. Id definitely say take the time to check them out.

Cookies N Cream Scoop

JAMZ is a late night creamery in Inglewood that serves a variety of ice cream options as well as cakes (topped with said ice cream). I came on a Wednesday evening and was surprised how empty it was. It was nice to chat with the owner and learn about how they started the business before proceeding to place our orders. There were a few vegan friendly options (mostly sorbets) but I went with a cookies and cream scoop. It was fine and icy but nothing too remarkable aside from it being a non-fruit option. I probably wouldn't get it again. I enjoyed being able to chill inside and enjoy the large TV screens blasting some solid music videos. Overall, a nice spot to hang for a bit if you're in the area.

My Sundae!!
Amber T.

I really love ice cream!! My friend and I came here for dessert and we both ordered sundae's. The owner was very nice and gave us some good flavor recommendations. The inside was nice and clean and even behind the counter looked clean. He had a few basic flavors and a few not so basic. Over all, my sundae was good and because of the service I will be back!

Black Owned Ice Cream Parlor. Main Street parking. Nice establishment, clean, good music playing. The customer service was great the gentleman man there was really nice! A lot of flavors to choose from! I got coffee ice cream w/ brown sprinkles in a waffle cup and my partner got cookies and cream w/ fruity pebbles in a waffle cup. We sat inside to eat because we liked the music so much. Definitely recommend, gotta go back next time and try the cake/ice cream sandwich situation they got going on.

Ice cream Cake

Absolutely loved my ice cream cake. They had lots of ice cream flavors and a couple different cake options. 1 was perfect for my boyfriend and I. We took it to go but they have seating inside as well:)

The place has this classic ice cream shop feel with pastel aesthetics mixed into a modern clean vibe which mixes practicality with style. I LOVE the glass panel decoration and the front decor which are simple details yet convenient decoration. The options have an interesting range in diversity, from ice cream and drinks. Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. (Update: Making this edit because I accidentally spelled the cafe name wrong in my previous review which I apologize for. The typo was made because when I was writing the review, I was also very busy so I wrote everything in a hurry and wasn't able to make changes. And yes, this update took so long to be made because when I write reviews, especially in this case, I often do different reviews all at once.)

The Abbot Kinney location was packed and service was a bit slow since their was only one person who was scooping the ice cream and serving as cashier. Honey lavender: Steeped lavender petals in local honey, bringing out more complex and herbaceous flavors. Hazelnut cookies and cream: Okay, if you think you've had Cookies & Cream, you haven't tried Salt & Straw's Oregon version. Apparently, Oregon grows like 99% of the country's hazelnuts, and they actually use nuts from their own farm for this. It's a coconut cream base with bourbon vanilla, packed with crushed sandwich cookies and this insane hazelnut butter fudge ripple.

I got a scoop Mr. Universal which is essentially a salted caramel ice cream and a scoop of matcha. I could easily tell why their best seller was Mr. Universal. The salted caramel was nice and crunchy, and their cream base wasn't too sweet, serving as the perfect compliment to the salty, sweet caramel. The matcha was very suprising, not sweet at all and the flavor of matcha itself was much more prominent than any other ice cream place I've tried. Overall the ice cream is easily 5/5 stars. Their service is lightning quick and was very friendly towards everyone. There is ample seating inside to enjoy ice cream along with free complimentary water.
