Mangoniada and nut shaved ice
Yosmar J.

Today was the first time trying this "hole in the wall" ice cream place. Wow! It has to have been one of the top 3 places I've had a Mangoniada shaved ice. This place was delicious. My mangoniada had lots of pieces of mango, shaved ice to perfection and just the right amount of chamoy. I also recommend their "nut" shaved ice if you're into a more of a creamy/milky taste. Their customer service as many have mentioned on their yelp was amazing, very welcoming.

I've seen this location on yelp but never gave it a chance. I was in search of a place that sells soft served ice cream. I looked at the photos posted from this location and assumed they did. I was very disappointed to find they didn't. It was four people ahead of me in line so i figured i needed to try something seeing that they attracted so many customers. Jayis made sure my visit was worth the wait. First off her ice cream is Thriftys brand. Who turns down Thriftys? She serves waffle bowls with her ice cream sundaes and hooks it up with different toppings. Her prices are reasonable. What i can respect the most is that she accepts credit cards of different kinds. I mean she is running a serious business. I had to check her out for a second time because she is awesome. She is your ice cream truck in a parked location!!

Mangoñada

The best mangoñada ive ever had and very clean and fresh fruit for the bionico. A hidden gem and will definetly be coming back!

I stopped here randomly craving something sweet and it met all of my expectations! Customer service was so nice! Speed of service was phenomenal, and the mangoneada and corn in a cup was amazing!

Small cute ice cream shop. Everything you crave in one spot. They have the Hispanic favorites from mangoneadas to raspado, fresas con crema and bionicos. Sweet Gem to have close by

Raspado de Mangoneada, esquite and hot Cheetos with cheese.

Very goood food, affordable prices. I recommend trying the raspados. They have different sizes. Will come back

Via Yelp I found this place with only one review. I decided I would give it a chance and see what this place was about. I must say that I was very surprised and delighted. I ordered a "mangoneada" (was my first time trying this) and boy did I like it! Selection is small but prices are reasonable. The only thing I would suggest to the owner is that she should invest in a better display of the menu (she has items listed in a dry erase board). In addition, the fliers for this place should have a menu along with a description (fliers only have pictures). If you are looking for a Mexican dessert place. This is the place to come. Desserts are yummy!

Sundae

Friendly service and delicious treats! My husband got the sundae which comes with 3 scoops of ice cream and your choice of peanuts and/ or sprinkles. Also they add chocolate, caramel or strawberry drizzle- your choice. I had their diablito which is perfect for this weather! Their nachos were bomb and just the right amount of everything. I'm so happy we found them and parking wasn't too bad right out front. They also have chips and other treats along with a good selection of ice creams.

Very tasty banana split

My friend wanted a banana split. So the search began to find something close . Checked yelp for ice cream and read the reviews for this gem of a place. Family owned and reasonably priced menu. I had a warm turkey sandwich with everything including avocado, so good. I'm going to post a picture of my friends desert.

The place was somewhat small but wasn't really busy for a Saturday afternoon, and we noticed they had some spacious auxiliary seating areas specifically for Oakobing across the hall. At first glance, the prices seemed sort of high for shaved ice, so we opted for sharing 2 of the smallest personal sizes ($8.5 each). It turns out that this size was plenty. I'm not sure how big the regular bowls are, but I think especially after a meal the personal size is plenty for a satisfying dessert for 2 people. I'm assuming part of the large price difference in sizes comes down to the large amount of fresh fruit that comes on their regular bowls. Still, we very much enjoyed our bowls. The ice is shaved almost impossibly thin, and rather than melting into a pool of water almost turns into a sorbet/ice cream like texture, which is very satisfying to eat. I enjoyed how their condensed milk topping was diluted to form a lighter cream that was more sauce-like than think and drizzle-like. It all lended to making the dessert enjoyably light. I would definitely drop by again, especially if we could avoid the parking costs.

The bingsoo my friend and I shared from here was delicious!…read more We shared the Blueberry Yogurt and Hojicha Bingsoos at the single serve size and both of them were great. The Blueberry Yogurt one really tasted like eating a cup of blueberry yogurt. The dollop of yogurt was nice and the blueberries were plump and fresh. The Hojicha one also had great flavor. I liked the nutiness of it. The cereal, dalgona, and red bean also added good flavors and textures. I like how the flavorings were embedded in layers throughout the bingsoo. The ice itself was okay though. It could've been softer and smoother, but still good nonetheless. The flavors and toppings really carried the bingsoos. I'd recommend both flavors. The cafe interior is super cute too. Love the design. I saw some people with laptops, so this could be a potential work/study spot? There's also lots of free parking underground.
